I was contacted first thing the morning after I made my onlinecinquiry about Shiloh, and a meet & greet was arranged for that afternoon. The facility was clean, cheerful, well staffed, and everyone was very helpful. It was busy (which is good!), but they still got me and my new dog processed pretty fast (about an hour). I saw several other pets get adopted while I was there, and every staff member and volunteer paid attention to all of the guests. My boy is fixed, microchipped, vaxed, and he was free thanks to a special summer promotion. I also got a new pet parent certificate to take to a local pet store to help stock up on supplies, and they let me keep the collar that was on him. The Pet Resource Center has so many pets ready and waiting for new homes, and they make the process as easy as possible.

I had to rehome a pitbull, Dixie because she was abandoned by family at my house. I already have three dogs and two cats and cannot afford the vet bills and food bills for all the animals. I tried so hard to rehome her but all the rescues were full. Out of desperation I took her to this facility. I was very hesitant and did not want her to be put down. She was there three weeks and this lovely lady, Jessica adopted her. I got in contact with her and found out that she was the perfect match for my Dixie. I am very happy with the end results and would highly recommend adoption. Pitbulls are definitely the most numerous dogs there. Being a pitbull owner is not for everyone and people need to quit getting the puppies and just go adopt !! Also a big shout out to Morgan who helped me through the whole process. Thanks again sweetie!

I cannot begin to describe how amazing this place is! They saved my cat's life and provided us with resources for managing his health problems, along with toys, food, etc. The staff was very kind and professional, and I am eternally grateful for them! I was even able to text them to receive updates on my kitty. Thank you all for your hard work and the love you put into it <3 it means everything
Feather
Such an amazing adoption Center. It was clean and had beautiful decorations and a modern paint job. Walking into the back to meet dogs available, they had fenced in private play areas with a bench for when you meet the dogs. I removed one star because the workers there seemed extremely disinterested in customers arriving to adopt animals.
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
Marisol Hernandez, go to Hillsborough County shelter and get a voucher for the neutering, microchip, vaccines and tags. Last time I got one it all costs just $10.
Go to animal control or the humane society. When you adopt from there you know you are getting an animal that has been checked out and already has its shots and most of the time already spayed or neutered. To go to a pet shop, where you will pay way to much, you don't really know what you're getting. It could come from breeders that,God forbid, don't have very good standards...
Yes its true
When my Girlfriend and I were there seeing about getting a Dog, the employees there did mention that there are both discounted services, and free shots!!! Good Luck!!! Get those Kitties Home!!!
Yes they do really well getting the dogs adopted. They also have a lot of activities for the dogs to keep them healthy and happy. Why do you feel you can not care for them? They also help people so they can keep their pets. Talk to them see if they can help you.
Who ever found them probably hasn't taken them to the vet. If they had...they would have called. Sorry 😢 Consider adopting. They are over run with pitbulls mostly due to evictions and not being able to take a "dangerous" dog to their new place. They are sweet 98% of them.
I believe it's up to a 15 per household limit.
Call PRC and see what they can do about this. I believe they will do the humane thing and take them to their shelter.
Falkenburg is working to becoming a "No Kill" facility. They won't put down a healthy animal just because of it's breed type.
Yes, and they have many to choose from
No. They will tell you to go to the humane society of Tampa
Yes but make sure you set appointment to visit I can't just walk in that dog is lucky to be getting a home blessings to you
Yes, they update every 30 minutes, or so they told me. They will not hold an animal for you either. It's first come, first served 🐶🐱.
Yes
Not sure. I do know at my vet it's ten for the rabies shot but another twenty for a tag! They do give you a certificate with the shot though
You can take her here or the Humane Society of Tampa Bay. If you are in Pinellas county the SPCA.
I HOPE GOD HELPS US FIND a place for the kitten my husband adopted there because we're to old for a beautiful kitten with alot of energy/ Manx is 1/2 of the breed, looks like a MAINECON. LOOKS LIKE A LEAPORED WITH ALL HIS SPOTS..TEXED ME BACK IF YOU'RE interested he will be going to LARGO SPCA IN A DAY OR TO,THERE'S NO $ NEEDED IF YOU GET HIM FROM US HE DESERVES A GREAT HOME!!!
I got my cat immunized, spayed and all her license and tags at TLC Petsnip.
Yes they take 8t as long they are clean and great almost new conditions. Not on Sunday. Best to call first
Yes i believe it is one dollar a mile
You can take the dog to Faulkenburg Rd facility
Bailey was approximately 9 years old and we adopted him was malnourished and had major mouth infection. He was also totally deaf. He had surgery on his teeth and had 11 removed. The infection healef and he gained weight rapidly. We taught him sign language and signals to let us know what he needed. He loved falling asleep at night facing the Christmas Tree. We were so lucky to have him for as long as we did.
They can always use blankets, food, toys, shampoos and there are donation boxes outside you can just drive through and drop off .merry Christmas!
Oh! My number is 954 275-9332
Take your dog to the vet right now my dog had a cough ended up being heartworms had broken off into her lungs and were suffocating her if you don't want your dog to die take it to the doctor
I know it's probably hard for you but make an appointment with Humane Society of Tampa Bay and they're very good with the animals let them know exactly like all his tricks and whatever he's used to being around children or other animals and they will find a perfect home for him they are a no-kill shelter
16 years old
Take it to the Humane society of Tampa, better place as far as I'm concerned.
Post a picture on Facebook and on pawboost
They will put the Mom to sleep, and try to adopt out the babies, if they don't get adopted the will put them to sleep too, there is a humane society on Linbaugh that is no kill, but you have to call there and ask if they have room before you can drop them off
The best way TO bring in your pet IS the Humane Society of Tampa, Fl they look FOR a home for adoption
Try ACT animal coalition of tampa. They offer lower rates for lower income families.
I would ask family members if they could help, even for a short time. If nobody can step up for the pet, I would ask an animal rescue or a no-kill-shelter. The Humane Society will also take your pet. Also, check the resources, some of them will help you out if possible. They will donate food and whatnot so that you don't have to give up your animal.
Don't know you should try calling them. Use Google for phone numbers
Yes they do rabies VACCINATIONS for ALL Pets they are able to place
They offer Spay/neuter vouchers. They recommend that you go online to their website and fill one out.
Not for the public. If you adopt your pet will be ready with shots and spayed or neutered.
You can call the Pet Resource Center and if they don't handle they will know who does.
I don't know about employees but there are a lot of volunteers
Price wise to adopt is $35-$50. You'll have an employee that will walk you through the kennel's and you pick one out and play with it rather it's a dog or cat. Make sure you have a license and a bill suck as some kind of utility bill.
Since she is a stray, you can take her to the Pet Resource Center on Falkenburg. They will spay her, give her a rabies shot and treat the mouth problem. These services are paid by our taxes.
Pet Resource Center may be able to help with food etc. for your pets
Yes that's true 😌
if you get food stamps it's only 10 dollars
Yes, you can surrender dogs and cats here.
He needs a vet to assess him, if indeed it is a bladder issue it is painful and can be deadly. I normally treat with fluids and antibiotics but a vet should be consulted. There are some vets that are lower cost like the humane society and Harmony.
If you have your pet microchiped and tagged. Your pet will be easier to locate.
No they do not board. Animal Wellness in Wesley Chapel does
Call and make an appointment. With Covid they only work by appointment.
They have a place called TLC pet that has multiple locations and they're about 55 for shots and exam
Yes they do as long as it's sealed up from the company
No - I've asked and they do NOT offer any type of dog training :(
I'm not sure but you need to contact animal control
Yes they do but only to people that cannot afford it and they limit what they give away.....
Call the Animal Wellness Center (813-752-2869) in Plant City. They might be able to help you. They are a discounted veterinarian service. They do not do some things, but they have a Sister office that takes care of what they themselves do not. Very good place.
I would call and ask them.
No they don't
It's a wait till Monday thing....yer dog ok....
Yes 8 -5p
Yes, I believe it's updated daily.
Dog adoption fees start at $20. https://www.hillsboroughcounty.org/en/residents/animals-and-pets/pet-adoption/adopt-a-dog-or-cat
Because she livea next door to the lady that keeps feeding all stray cats and there is one that has had 5 liters already
You will probably have to make an appointment. What kind of dog do you have? I'm looking to adopt one to use as a service dog.
They were still doing it but you may want to call because I am pretty sure they are running on appointments. And if they don't do it you can also try Tampa Humane!
No but Humane Society will. Visit https://humanesocietytampa.org/feralcats/
Sometimes there are rescue organizations for dog breeds... otherwise Pet Resource Center in Tampa is a no kill shelter, does exams, spay/neuter prior to adoption to the new owner
Take him to intake at PRC
Give them a call explain the situation and let them know you do not want to be identified for fear or whatever reason you may have.
They only can do a voucher for fixing the chihuahua, then you take him/her to a vet. But humanes society on Armenia may be able to help or SPCA.
Animal control or animal services. There are several companies that you can find online that specializes in Muscovy duck removal in Florida.
Inform police. Cruelty to animals is a crime. If your neighbor did harm a pet cat, that person is messed up. You could always ask your neighbor about missing pet, if they have no knowledge, something's up since the bag was found on their property. Also, was it okay for you to be on their property?
If you're a Hillsborough County resident, you can surrender your dog here. There is a fee charged to help defray the cost of the County caring for the dog.
You can checkout the site here: https://www.hillsboroughcounty.org/en/residents/animals-and-pets When you scroll down, there is info about both adoptions and volunteers.
What did the vet tell you? Didn’t the vet tell you how to treat it or give you something for?
I'm sorry, I don't know about races, but I think we should adopt anything, and preference for the older ones.
Cost of what?
From what I have read not by the state they are not, they are considered an invasive species and not protected.
I would love to help but I am located in Orlando
I am not sure. You can call them. I believe the Humane Society on Armenia do help with food.
Vets4pets in Tampa. This place is awesome!
Call the shelter and ask to be put on the waiting list for that breed.
It depends on the dog. We picked up one the next day, so it really varies.
It is free to transfer ownership of a pet that is currently registered to you, log in to your account. Then click on “Transfer” underneath the pet’s name. The system will walk you through the steps of transferring the pet to a new owner’s account. The new owner will receive an email, text and phone call to accept or reject this transfer. The new pet owner has 7 days to accept or reject this transfer. After 7 days, we will complete the transfer. Once the pet is transferred, it will no longer appear in your account. If your pet is registered with registry, such as AVID or HomeAgain, you (or the new owner) will need to contact that registry directly to request for them to update the microchip registration in their database.
It depends on if they are having a special adoptions. You can call them.
I've seen dogs on there for a long time and some that are removed right away. I don't know the exact timeframe, or if there are other factors.
Call them. They are really helpful and should be able to update the record.
It'll be about a month before the new ones are ready. There are small dogs at the center right now that need homes. Go look, your new best friend could be right there waiting for you.
Yes, there are several breeds.
They ARE here, but they're on a 30 day court ordered hold. There are plenty of other animals you could adopt, though, and fees are currently $0 for everything
They have to hold them for 30 days in case the court ruling is overturned.
Yes they have a Pet Food Pantry, but it's donation dependant so it's not always stocked. It's only open 2 days a week so calling before you go there is advised
There is no charge to take in animals that you find in the wild. If you surrender pets then you will be charged per pet. To be accurate you will have to get a quote at the location 440 North Falkenburg Road. This is a Kill Center. There is another location that is rescue and not a Kill Center but if they are full you will get a recording to call the number and you will get the location a 440 North Falkenburg Road. It is tragic. People who want to adopt a pet should go to 440 North Falkenburg Road 1st as this is a Kill Center. These animals are on the clock. If you want to turn animals in and the other Center which is a safe Center and not a Kill Center you have to make sure they have room or you will be directed to North Falkenburg Road.
They give you all the information you need to give your new vet. They do retain the file if your new Vet has questions. Congratulations on your new pet.
Call them they will pick up for free
They picked up a stray dog we had found wandering the neighborhood
Yes you can
Standard intake strat hold is 3 days. Owner surrender has no hold. The dogs that were picked upa few weeks back had a 30-day hold, but should be available
They have donation bins located out front at all hours.
They don't provide shots. You'd be better off with the SPCA or Planned Puppyhood. Planned Puppyhood is farther away, but they are cheaper and do walk-ins.
He'll find a home in no time the center is always full of pet lovers. The younger they are the better chance at adopting they have
The vet will give you the paperwork for the right county. I moved from Lakeland (polk county) to Hillsborough county . The vet gave me the rabies vaccination certificate for Hillsborough. I got the tag in Hillsborough at the pound. Take in the paperwork you have from the vet including proof of spaying or neutering
#sherry boger she is asking "how can she obtain papers to make her dog a service dog"
They advertised on Facebook that adoptions were free. I was there last month and adoptions were $5
Thanks for the response but I already got my answer yesterday morning when I went down there
Sorry for your lost. I believe that you can do it online or call
I have not taken a pet there. I was looking to adopt a dog. I know your dog is like Family and it is hard. I pray you make the right decision for your pet. Blessings!
Call the shelter and ask them for advice
Yes! Of course they would. They would never want to put either dog in any danger. Just go up there and talk to their most amazing staff. They will be more then happy to help you.
I guess you have spoken to the owner. Maybe call and see if they will go out there and talk to her.
Absolutely not
You have to call to see if they are available
You should call but I think so not 100% sure
Sometimes but the refugees from the Government are cheaper than private
Yes, they will be open on Sun. 10 AM to 7 PM, even on Mother's Day.
They have a program if yr income is limited y can fix 10$
Do not surrender them to them that is a kill shelter surrender them to the Humane Society also it doesn't cost anything it just say just ask for donations if you was just $5 it'll take it I also have a mama cat with for kittens that are 8 weeks old that I picked up off the street because she was pregnant but I'm going to try to find homes for the kittens as well as the mom if I cannot find homes for the mama I will go ahead and keep her but get her ear clip so they know she's a stray and she's been fixed but I will have to surrender whatever kittens are left to the Humane Society
I think Florida Fish & Wildlife are the ones you should contact. The animal shelter takes in more or less domestic pets cats, dogs, rabbits. They do not deal with wild coyotes to my knowledge.
It costs nothing. Let them know you can no longer give her a good home. Truth is however, if she is not adopted/fostered within a week or two.... she may be put down.
I'm not sure but call and ask. And try animal coalition of Tampa or ACT and they will likely be able to help. And they offer a $10 voucher to cover surgery and pain meds as well. Good luck!!! I have only ever adopted from pet resource center.
If your pet has rabies shot and you take proof from your vet, they will give you tag for your pet
No
Animal coalition has best prices and they really are great with the animals.
I adopted on Wednesday and I’ll be lucky if I can take my pup home on Saturday. They are very backed up apparently
Contact the hprc. They have it on file. Or your vet can scan your baby to read her chip.
Yes
Hi Angela. I think that you need to find no kill shelter if you cannot care for your puppy. Or you can make fb profile for your pup and share it on web to find good family for your dog.
U should probably call
If your microchip is registered then they should contact you about your lost puppy. However you have only 3 days to pick hom up because if you don't do it the puppy will considered obendent and they will place him with others who would want to adopt him
They do not do vaccinations here but the Animal Coalition is Tampa is a great resource. There are also numerous mobile pet clinics, typically at a Walgreens or CVS, in the area on certain days of the month.
Yes
You must be more than 16 years old...
They rescue it you would have to call them and maybe go there with a picture and maybe he's still. There. So sorry I hope you can find him. They have lots of cats. Good luck
If you drop your dog off what do you mean? It is a kill shelter a few days after they get there if they are not adopted they are put to sleep it's not a doggie daycare.
If it has a chip but if you have lost a dog you should check every day or two and check yourself
Call the police
Is there a service for trapping and removing feral cats?
It depends where in live. You have to go to a different place than shelter. You would need I'd and ebt card. they get a rabies shoot also free with voucher. Hope this helps
They will assess him and then give him so much time if they don't get adopted within a certain amount of time then yes he will put him down, you can also try the humane society!!
Yes....The staff is very helpful. You can handle animals if you choose to as well.
They're open 6 days a week. Closed on Monday. The website has the hours from opening to close.
I got a voucher. You need to be disable and have ebt card. You can get 8 cats done but must be at the same time. Very nice place. You drop them off at 7am and p/up by 5. The cats also get a rabbit shot included. Hope this is helpful. You must get voucher b/4 get cats done. Have a good hoilday
They have set fees for different issues. The prices are on the intake door. You should stop by and look at their process before deciding. there are other resources available as well and the staff there can point you in that direction if needed.
I would suggest calling your vet or whomever administered it about getting a duplicate. Your paperwork should suffice if a situation arises where u need to show proof
I'm not sure of what you mean. However, if he's impounded then you would need to speak to someone that works there. I know people that lost their dog and they picked it up for nothing.
What kind of dog
I am not sure
They do euthanize. You can see their statistics including the reasons (they have to accept everything including trauma and health issues) why the animal was euthanized on their webpage. They work with many other organizations and private fosters to help with the large amount of animals brought to them, this lowers their euthanasia rates.
I think you can take them to the Hillsborough Animal Rescue Center, or the Humane Society of Tampa Bay
Call the landlord, or leasing office, etc. They will deal with it in the AM.
It is a kill shelter if they don't find a place for them or if the animals really sick. Someone recently tried to take three kittens in there and they were told if the kittens were not adopted out by the end of the day that we're going to be euthanized.
Hillsborough County Pet Services is an animal shelter. The types of dogs available are always changing. Fees can also vary. It's best to go and see what they have. Right now they are at capacity, so there is a big selection.
If you turn her in they will charge you$125 because she is fixed otherwise it would be $165 to turn in a pet. I think you would be better off trying the humane society or try googling rescue for the type off breed she is in your area.
10am to 6pm Tues thru Sunday
The dog also might be chipped and they have the device to read the chip as well
No, all they have are cats and dogs.
There are yellow bins in fro t of the facility where you could drop them off or you can go inside and leave them with the staff
They can pretty much start eating at that age on their own. I've had kittens I've rescued even younger than that and they've been ok.
Don't surrender her, for goodness sakes! There is a little place at MLK and Kingsway on the right in that little plaza. They are groomers. They're giving free shots one day this week or weekend for an hour. Give them a call.
It may be better to give them a call with those questions. I'm not sure they answer those kind of questions here.
Yes, you can adopt a pet from there if younlive in a different county. No problem. They just want those sweet babies to get a 'furever' home.
You would have to call them to find out this information. I'm sorry
Any dog will be ok, as long as you train them. I just got a puppy from them and she is so smart, only because at night I spend a lot of time with her. They need a lot of attention when you home. Good luck you can do it.
They spay/neuter the cats before adoption. If they spay/neuter for the general public, I am not sure. The SPCA do, I believe. Also there are many low cost spay/neuter clinics in the area. Just Google low cost neuter near me and it will give you a list near you. Hope this helps you Holly.
Call the humane society and report it
Yes. but it would help them out if you try to find a home for it first. Maybe on Craigslist and ask a lot of questions to make sure it's going to a good home. And charge a fee to ensure it goes to a good home. Returning the dog is the last-ditch effort but yes they will take the dog back. 🙂
it cost 20 bucks unless other wise posted
Bring them in
I tried both and no luck..
Register the dog as a service dog read up on your rights they can not discriminate against your dog bc of its size
Try posting on lost pets of hillsborough county.
Does this cat look like a wild cat or domestic cat? The wild cats will be difficult because they roam as they see fit and they are hardened to the environment. Domestic cats are easy to capture and deal with. If you suspect the cat isn't owned by anyone, capture and take the cat to the vet for the tail. The shelter is good but limited in some areas of medical care. They will spay the cat and give you papers if you want to keep for yourself.
You can also check with Walgreens, there is a low cost pet shot event every six weeks or so. They have an independent vet come out, I think it's less than $20
Don't think so it's a holiday
The resource center will spay the cat if the neighbors will call and set up the appt. You can also drop off the animals to the shelter and they will place the 3 cats in a home. The cost to spay them is inexpensive. It was $10 to neuter a dog.
Ask cat cursader on Facebook
I know for spay and neuter it goes by income and can be free if poor not sure about shots. Animal coalition is great and cheap see website but friends of strays in july I think 8th go on website is giving free microchip and shot for wither cat or dog it's on website and or facebook in St pete
Yes the pound will give the shot. Then a fee...you can get the dog back..
Awww sorry about your doggie
Go door to door and ask in ur neighborhood
I'm sure
My advice is to call in Pinellas county such as friends of strays , pet pal, suncoast, you must clearly ask is it no kill! Always. Just use Google. Also put on Craigslist u have a great chance there also it works
Cans are closed never opened and they do take other donations as well so that would be very nice of you and sorry to hear about your loss of dog
That's sad that people leave their cats or dogs anywhere behind or whatever they're not cute anymore I guess but anyways call and see if you can find some rescues first before you take him to the animal shelter
any food is welcome same with litter if unopened
Why don't you just continue to take care of them since you already started
Free
Try and find someone this is a kill shelter
Woe to different breeds chihuahua Poodles Pitbulls Germanshepards Maltesse Rottiwiller Shizue Of different races
Post on Pawboost with a picture. Pawboost has a list of suggestions to help a cat find its way back home.
Where do you live? What kind of infection?
No, closed. Open back up Tuesday at 10am.
For Deposit they will loan you a cage and you could load them up and take them down there yourself. They spayed or neuter feral cats for free and return them
Call for info. The HUMANE SOCIETY will loan you a cage for a 5.00 deposit. The spay/neuter feral cats. Ask for any donation. If you have it. YOU have to do the work. Hope that helps.
You have to get a voucher. Go to the humane society vet services or you can print one from their website. Rhen take it to the humane on falkenburg.
Act or the humane society and and some pet supermarket all do low cost vaccination
Yes, I did. After awhile when she wasn't adopted I went back and re-adopted her. Long story but she was missing for six years and was recovered.
Take it to the Humane Society
Do not take the cat to Falkenburg Road they are a kill shelter! Post your cat on Facebook there are several rescues that post on Facebook! Go talk to the Humane Society and also talk with your vet they may know someone who can foster your male cat till they can find him his next home! Also contact all your friends and see if someone is willing to take your cat!
Animal Control of Hillsborough county
Yes, it does. They take no pride in doing that work. But must be done sometimes. 😖
@Jeans Art Can we discuss about something. Last night someone dropped off a dog it's ear is cut off, hasn't ate for I dont even know how long, it's sick with a small infected spot under its ear. I already have 3 dogs i just can't take another one.
Only way to find out is to take them in
You can go get a voucher with the names of your pets and they will give you a list of places you can take them. Or you can take them back to where you got the voucher and they can do it there. I just did it for 2 kittens about 5 months ago. But i took my kittens to long lake animal hospital cause it was closer and could give me the quickest appointment. Hope this helps.
8-3 and when I had to drop off a stray they didn't charge me anything and there was a guy that had a pitbull they didn't charge him anything cuz it was a stray
All shots. Pretty much all u to date and price can go up $145!
In reality should only be once. That is a question for animal control. You should try that route.
Take it to the shelter,he will find someone soon who takes care of him
Seems like seller needs to give you akc papers if its a purebred.
drivers license and a form of payment to pay the adoption fee
If they are ready to go home, they are $20. If you have to pre-adopt they can go up to $145.
Heartworm is treatable. My current dog had heartworm when I got him and he's perfect now. He's been great for 3 years. Some rescues can help with the cost of treatment, so don't let heartworm deter you from saving a life!
Humane society is a no kill shelter if you need to get rid of him bring him there
If it is your pet, then call your vet. The pet resource center is not a vet service, it is for homeless animals.
They'll take him but he will more than likely be put down. This is a kill shelter
Take them to the Humane Society on Armenia. This is a kill shelter
Try finding a home for them through friends, family, social media, craigslist, etc. If you cannot find a home, then contact the pet resource center. It should be used as a last resort.
Brooke I tried the number on the website and it is working (9-23-17), good luck.
Get HELP, take it if it will come to you, drop at Pet Resources
I believe you are required to have proof of inoculations but I am not sure check Hillsborough County Shelter Pet requirements
Well theare all the shelter you're looking for is going to be on Falkenburg Road just south of Woodbury North of 60
He's asking if this is where he can take abandoned animals.
