I live in Hillsborough county but my vet is in Lakeland they told me to contact Lakeland animal control for his tag..now where do I go to the tag? Help please.

The vet will give you the paperwork for the right county. I moved from Lakeland (polk county) to Hillsborough county . The vet gave me the rabies vaccination certificate for Hillsborough. I got the tag in Hillsborough at the pound. Take in the paperwork you have from the vet including proof of spaying or neutering

A dog license is a county license. Your Vet is in Polk County. If you live in Hillsborough county, you need a Hillsborough dog license. Sounds like you were misinformed. You need a cirtificate indicating your dog was up to date on immunization. Hillsborough will give you the license with your paperwork.
