Does this cat look like a wild cat or domestic cat? The wild cats will be difficult because they roam as they see fit and they are hardened to the environment. Domestic cats are easy to capture and deal with. If you suspect the cat isn't owned by anyone, capture and take the cat to the vet for the tail. The shelter is good but limited in some areas of medical care. They will spay the cat and give you papers if you want to keep for yourself.

You should be fine to use a live trap. You can take it to the shelter but i don't know what steps beyond that. I'm sure they'll help you get it it shots and medical care.

Bring to humane society usually long wait or go to animal coalition shot clinic money thru sat till 3. I'd ask during shot clinic the vet sometimes long waits and hot outside waiting. So go early or wait till 2 and go . Thanks for helping cat. I just did that myself. Animal coalition has special price if feral and.needs to be fixed. They see feral till I think 2. Anyway if u live in Pinellas July 9th I think friends.of strays has shots and chip free see websites. Get a trap, use a tiny bowl, put WA y in back test trap. Put in very shady place. Put It Out When U See them. Throw food
