Sometimes there are rescue organizations for dog breeds... otherwise Pet Resource Center in Tampa is a no kill shelter, does exams, spay/neuter prior to adoption to the new owner
Each county has an animal shelter. Do a Google search. Just make sure that it's a no kill shelter. It's not the dogs fault so please make every effort to find your pet a good home. Thx!

Would try to see if any of your close would take him in or see if you give him to the therapy people that use animals in there hospitals and in court with kids
