It used to be the first Saturday of every month, but I haven't seen the signs posted since fall of last year. Maybe they only offer it in the Spring/Summer?
Did not know that there was ever free adoption. If your looking to save money I recommend you don't get a dog. The average cost of having a dog is $100 a month. Add an average of $380 once a year for vaccines and 12 months supply of heart worm and flea & tick meds. If dog gets sick vet and meds can cost $300 that could happen up to 2 times in one year. Dog tags are $20. All dogs come with a predetermined condition depending on the breed, that will need medical attention $$$$$. Then there are allergies that could be a routine problem. Then there is behavior issues, a dog is a dog and they are very needy. Chewing, dirty, keeping areas clean from poo, exercise & play, not the same thing. Being home with dog because you may not leave dog alone for more then 5 hours or they go crazy. Protecting them from harm, no one will care for your dog but you, REALITY!!!! read horror stories on Facebook. Dog is forever!!!!!! So you need to be sure that your life style always include dog Don't get one
