Superb, I also liked it a lot because it is a tragedy that I still remember, there is an internal section where you can find videos and recordings of that day. Very touching

Beautiful and yet sad representation of the 11/9 events. Has to be seen.

A very emotional experience for me. I didn't take any photos out of respect. I really don't like it that people use the memorial sites as a place for selfies. It's a place for reflection.

Nice here, but have you ever been to Baden-Württemberg?
You dont have to do the tour. There is a fully guided tour option available. But we just strolled around at our own pace....took about 1 hour 30 mins to 2 hours to get around it.
Use the park on the outside in his free. To go into the museum that you'll have to buy a ticket for. Look online and maybe you can buy one in advance. Have a great time.
To this day we do not know the right motivation. Everything indicates that it was an action to attract attention and provoke as many victims as possible. Terrorism itself has no justification or logic in its actions. It is simply terrorism.
Hey Edgar, i visited the memorial a few weeks ago. I dont recall seeing that specific type of photo but i know someone has what youre looking for. Ill check when i return to New York for you but your best bet is to custom order something like that from a studio or an online company that specializes in reprints.
Good luck
Yes it is open. You ate best to buy tickets in advance to get the day u want visit. 4th of july is a big day in that they place almost 3,000 flags in the carved names around the reflecting pools. The museum is up to 2hrs for the full tour. Go to website to buy tickets for the day u r going.
E, 1, R, or W from Times Square. The e to world trade center. The 1 to wtc Cortlandt The R or w to cortlandt Street. The E and 1 are also available from Penn station (34th Street 7th and 8th avenue) The r and the w are available at herald square(34th and 6th) as well
Hello Laura! It is open every day from 7.30 am to 9.00 pm
The Museum opens every day from 9.00 am to 8.00 pm (tickets until 6), Friday and Saturday from 9.00 am to 9.00 pm (tickets until 7)
To get tickets, it is better to book in advance online. You have to stand in line to get there without reservation
I hope you serve the data greetings.
If you mean the grounds surrounding the memorial, yes. That is free to walk around and view.
If you mean the museum, yes. But that cost money to enter.
There are kiosks on the opposite side of the building from the entrance. You can purchase tickets there with a credit card. That's the easiest and most flexible way. Once inside, take your time to read the placards; it will enrich your experience.
The museum cost 24 perperson (definitely recommended) not the memorial that's an open space with two large pools with ingraved names of the almost 3000 victims of the attacks.
The design is consistent with the original master plan by Daniel Libeskind, which called for the memorial to be 30 feet (9.1 m) below street level—originally 70 feet (21 m)—in a plaza, and was the only finalist to disregard Libeskind's requirement that the buildings overhang the footprints of the Twin Towers.
Think 'cool culture' would be the wrong nomenclature. As a monument to the 3000 people who died in the 9/11 terrorist attack I would say 'Memorial' is a better term. 'Cool culture' seems to trivialise what it is.
You can go up to the front if the museum but there’s a line but a better way to get tickets is to go to a ticket machine on the other side of the building and then use your credit card and buy tickets also the tickets range between 29 to 35 Dollars
Some of them definitely are not for children, but I would say the entire museum might be difficult for small children to make it through. It's a fairly somber experience.

There is a discount for the military and veterans, but I don't know about seniors or the number of tickets you can buy. We didn't go in due to the long line.
Is the free day right now Mondays? Anyone know?

Yes, they go on sale at 7am Monday and are first come first serve.
I guess it all depends on who's working there at the time by my experience was is simple purchased a ticket Wearing a mask and seen scene our history in front of my eyes
Purchase the bus pass for $50 is well worth it. I should clarify. We did the NY pass, which covered riding the bus, entry into the 911 museum, and several other places (empire state building, Rockefeller... other museums) well worth it and prevented standing in line for tickets.
I purchased an unguided tour last weekend: $26 for adults (18+) and $20 for those under 18 years old. There may be additional discounted rates for even younger. The guided tour is roughly double the price I believe.
If you want to see the museum that is inside, not just the outdoor memorial, then you will need the tickets! And it looks like children 6 and under do not need tickets, but 7 and older do!
It probably said in one of the displays in the museum but I missed it but Wikipedia says
In January 2001, Silverstein, via Silverstein Properties, made a $3.2 billion bid to lease-purchase the World Trade Center.

Hi Emma! According to Google Maps the 9/11 Memorial & Museum tickets are on sale starting at $28.00 for adults 18 and over. Kids 7-17 get in for $17.00 each and senior citizens 65 and older can pay $22.00 a piece. Kids under 7 get in free. On the website, museum admission alone starts at $26 for adults but $20 for college students, senior citizens and kids 13-17, $15 for kids 7-12, and U.S. Veterans pay $18, more if you want the tour packages. 9/11 family members and select military and rescue workers go free. There is free admission on Tuesdays between 5-6pm unless the museum is full. The 9/11 Ground Zero Guided Tour & 9/11 Memorial & Museum ticket allows you to skip the line but runs about $69 or 75 per adult depending on how you book tickets. Kids under 6 go free. The New York City pass may be able to get you some discounts. For more information, please see https://911memorial.org/visit/visit-museum-1 or Google maps.

Remnants of the buildings of 9/11. Also if the trucks and cars around the area. Photos. Video.
There is a smaller gift shop right outside of the museum but to enter the bigger one you just buy a ticket, the inside contains mugs, shirts, and hats off the NYPD, fire department, and of the memorial, but for just about everything else you have the small gift shop out side to the right of the museum
There's no fee to walk around, but there is if you want to go inside the museum... which I'd highly recommend. I'd also suggest buying your tickets to the museum online and save time in the lines, they tend to be long.
Depends on how old you are, but the $26 for an adult are worth its money.

A limited number of advance tickets for these free Tuesdays will be available online, starting two weeks in advance of each Tuesday.
You can buy tickets at the door, but the line can back up pretty extensively. Paying in advance allows you to walk directly to the entrance for security screening.
FACTS: FROM 9/11 MEMORIAL MUSEUM
"The National September 11 Memorial was designed as a tribute of remembrance and honor of the 2,977 people killed in the terror attacks of the September 11, 2001 and 1993 at the World Trade Center site. The names of every person who died in the 2001 and the 1993 attacks are inscribed into bronce panels, edging the memorial pools. The pool sits within the footprints where the twin towers once stood." "september 11memorial museum"
SECURITY SCREENING AND LUGGAGE CHECK.
"Security screening of all bags, equipment and belongings is mandatory for all visitors that wish to enter the Memorial Museum. At the discretion of 9/11 Memorial museum staff, may not admit nor provide storage for, visitors large personal items or belongings to be too large
in the Coat Rooms for the duration of their visit, located on the Concourse Lobby Level and the Pavilion Auditorium level (2nd floor)."9/11 memorial museum"
Always taking into consideration the respect that this place requires, the museum is really well done and gives you the idea of the big tragedy experienced and the courage and pride of a wounded city that has been able to get up and go beyond
I believe they're called the "footprint fountains" although they're more of a cascade than a fountain
How can I enter free on tuesday? Can I take a stroller for my toddler?
Laura | Sep 30, 2019

You are allowed to bring strollers, backpacks, and luggages (subjected to additional screening). Free tickets for Tuesdays are given out on a first come first serve basis usually starting at 4pm, in limited quantities.
Once you get there, there are people at the entrance. One side is for unguided and the other is guided. It is very easy you will have no problems. I was there today
Use your phone buy online and skip the line. Was a huge line, we got in line then bought through the phone, out of line and inside in 3 minutes . Amazing place
I used the subway. But I have seen lots of places with small car parks but nothing of gratruit. Only rate indication coney island near beaches are about $ 1.20 / hr
We did download of HERE app. It's very easy to use.
Does the museum answer the ? As to how 3 steel structured buildings colapssed on their footprint for the 1st time in history . None other ever has except for cases of controlled demolition.

is it open between the 23th and 28 of may to visit
Https://www.911memorial.org/visitor-rules-and-regulations
Security screening is required for all visitors. All bags, equipment and belongings are included.
I'm not sure how to book free tickets, but you can buy tickets online and then pick them up anytime. If you do that, you can skip the line.
https://www.911memorial.org/visit-museum-1
You don't need tickets for the two pools outside. You need to buy tickets for the museum either online or in person. You need to buy tickets to go up to the top of the new world trade building as well if you want to do that.

You can use "Free tour by foot " site. There is a schedule for all tours and you pay as much as you want. Also it's really good tours. We had 3 with tour guide Jon, Brooklyn bridge too.
On website says, "Free Admission Tuesday tickets are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis at the Museum starting at 4 p.m. The distribution time is subject to change.''
Best use the subway to the spectacular Oculus station or Fulton Center which is linked underground by passageways and a mall. Exit on the Western side and it's basically across the street
Is it possible to purchase one of the Museum's American Flags flown on a specific day? My husband's (US Army Veteran) birthday is October 2 and we will be visiting the 911 Museum that day. Thank you in advance for any suggestions.

Don't know. I would think you could Google that. Good luck!!
I have a senior lifetime pass to federal parks. Is my pass honored at the 9/11 museum?
It's about $20 per person to visit the memorial. Active duty, guard and reserve military members and retirees receive free admission if you show a valid military ID card.
The memorial is free but the museum is 24$ for adults 20$ for kids under 17 or students that is general admission , for a tour guide its more ,we chose general admission and was well worth the money.
At some areas you are permitted to take pictures or videos but remember even if they allow you to bring them inside once they inspected safely, personally i don't think you will be comfortable whit them because all the crowd will be trying to watch the same things that you are trying to picture or record in video in front on yourself personally I don't think it will be a good idea and won't recommend at least maybe if you are one of the first visitors and maybe a whole lot people be walking around doing the tour
You can spend as much time as you like, but be aware that the last entrance is at 6pm and they close at 8pm during the week. Also very large tourist groups seem to show up between 2 and 4. Also signage to exit the museum is fairly vague. No one offered me a map.
Photography is allowed so I don't see a problem with videography. However, there are at least two specific rooms where photography is prohibited. One is out of respect to the deceased and the other is due to graphic imagery.
Fulton street train station 1 -2-3-4-5 A-C-J trains NYC MTA if you want more info according to where u at and how to get there let me know i will like to help you reach YO U Destiny
If you are coming from NJ I drove to staten island ferry and took the ferry and walk to 911 museum. Parking is cheaper in staten island than NY city. Ferry is free of charge.
No need for guide, but then again, I used to work here full time, so I know the area. Inside has no need for guide, because everything is self-explaining, many signs and or simply follow the crowd.
This is a museum of the events on September 11th. There is a lot of artifacts & stories regarding the days events. It is all set up in a timeline fashion.
In the museum you could two hours.
This museum was a celebration of the rescue attempt. No doubting the bravery and tireless effort the rescue workers put in.
You can incorporate it in with the memorial and trinity church and wolf street. This would be a nice half a day walk around the areas.

The museum states to allow for two hours. To really appreciate it, more like 3 to 4 hours to go through and really contemplate the events of that day. The time you spend is well worth it.
Hello Nacho! I bought the New York Pass, which is a card that covers many attractions. And the day I decided to go I did not do anything in a row.
If you're interested in the card, buy it online and pick it up there in times square
I'm not sure about that promotion but if you go after 5 pm you will not appreciate the entire museum, it takes about 3 o more hours to see it completely...
It will be hard to answer. But, there are other places to look for facts. Once you visit, you will be able to see the name written everywhere. It's really beautiful!
Do you need a reservation in advance? Or do you get acess to the memorial and to the Museum without reservations?

You do not need tickets for the memorial. For the museum you can buy the tickets right there, the are machines in the back of the building that you can use, and no need to do the long line
Not sure about the student price but I don't think so. You can buy tickets on line but not necessary. No lines but it was pretty busy. Make sure you take water bc there are no fountains or anything to buy. It's pretty long too..4 1/2 hours for us.
Very poignant. It perfectly shows in depth not only what happened on this tragic day, but also the events that led up to it and after. Would highly recommend a visit.
The name of the group is called Al Qaeda the reason why didn’t want to do the tag is because they didn’t like the United States they didn’t like it how do you had laws like the laws they didn’t make any sense do you want to be a better country like they wanted to prove to everyone that they were better. Then any other country so yeah and the country was Afghanistan the group is called Al Qaeda and the name of the guy who planned all this was Osama bin Laden which was killed in 2011 by an American soldier which I’m not gonna say his name but search it up
There's the fountain part with the names that is free. Then a museum of the tragedy which you gave today pay for, the top of the tower, which you have to pay for and a museum of the tower which you have to pay for also.
If you are a person who reads the historical notes and watches the historical videos then 1 hr is a not enough. If you just do a drive by then an hr is enough. We spent two hours there.
