Is it best to have the guided tour for the outside grounds, the inside museum or both?

No need for guide, but then again, I used to work here full time, so I know the area. Inside has no need for guide, because everything is self-explaining, many signs and or simply follow the crowd.

I took guided outside and self-guided inside. It was incredible, bring plenty of tissues, it is heart wrenching.

Guided outside. The inside is has a self guided tour. Plus, you'll want to stop, reflect and take in each area inside as it has multimedia features.

No, it is perfectly fine to do it by yourself if not better. There's headsets that you can pick up and listen to aling with videos that you can watch.
