Avoid!!!!! Buyer beware! Their website is confusing and I accidentally purchased 4 tickets instead of 2. I noticed the mistake immediately after. There is no phone number to call so I emailed their support. They basically said it’s my responsibility and wouldn’t fix it.

CBX is a great option and it's easy. A pre-purchased pass is not time- or date-specific. There were no special steps when my flight plans changed twice. After my arrival, Uber knew precisely where to find me outside to door. No searching for a particular pickup area (like at San Ysidro). The transportation price to San Diego was reasonable. I was able to get to my hotel quickly, and traffic was not so bad. However, it's a quick ride to San Ysidro if you want to use the light rail.
CBX had no wait. Customs at San Ysidro usually takes at least 30 minutes - often much longer. No one during the process was asking for a charitable handout (which is safer when traveling with luggage and other valuables).
I did go back to Tijuana to eat, and the food was excellent. CBX is a convenient way to use the airlines that travel all over Mexico and return to the USA.
I did read the negative reviews. My experience was so good. Maybe there have been times during the pandemic when the CBX was understaffed. My guess is that on Sunday evening, CBX probably gets very busy (just like San Ysirdo).
It's 20 per day. It is charged every 24 hours. I just went, and they are already charging less. They charge 18 dollars for premium parking and 15 for non premium.
I’m picking up my parents tomorrow what do I need to know before going ?
Do they charge for parking ?
If so for how long can I stay?
Lorena Martinez | Sep 11, 2018
Deez | Sep 10, 2021
There are some spots where parking is not charged, where it is charged it's quite expensive, what I would do is ask your parents to wait outside while you pull up near where they are exiting in your car, that way they don't walk far and you don't pay.
We have tickets through volaris. Do we need vrissing the bridge tickets purchased in advance online, and what's the cost for 4? Or the service is provided as long as I have a boarding pass? How long does it take to go through?
Marina Vialtsina | Sep 11, 2018
Johanna Rosales | Sep 11, 2019
You don't have to purchase your ticket beforehand, but it is better if you do either with your reservation or at cbx website because it will be cheaper. It is not provided with the boarding pass. The average wait is 15 minutes. Though it all depends on the season as well as time and day.
The CBX facility is ADA compliant, in partnership with airlines flying in and out of TIJ, CBX also provides wheelchair assistance. Please contact your airline to request this service.

They offer taxi from there to san diego about 12-19 depending on day
You can pay with card
They have Wi-Fi
They have food trucks
You need a plane ticket within certain time frame of entry. The bridge is meant only for people who are using the airport. You have to show ticket/boarding pass to cross.
Fast! Once, you go through all the initial steps, with security, etc. , the ACTUAL WALK from one country into the other is 5 to 10 minutes, without any delays. It is all indoor, temperature controlled and well lighted. EZ.
Does anyone know if they accept the booster vaccination format that they give in Mexico as the last proof of the complete schedule?
Mariana Santiago | Feb 12, 2022
Cross Border Xpress | Feb 12, 2022
Valid passport, if you present another identification it may deny you at Cruze, but it all depends on the customs agent or immigration. But that is only for people who are going to travel by plane, the pass has a cost of $16 dollars per person.
Yes, you can buy it at the CBX counters in the baggage claim area at Tijuana Airport, at the CBX terminal counters in San Diego and on the websites of the airlines: Aeroméxico, Viva Aerobus and Volaris.
Before you get to the cbx there's a parking lot area on the right hand side they charge like 10 dollars a day I believe they have vans that take you the airport.

Hello Maria, for the moment, by official provision, to combat the spread of COVID-19, the crossing for visitors with a B1 and B2 tourist visa to the United States is restricted. There is no crossing restriction for US citizens or residents. Passengers for a trip considered essential may also cross.
How do we pay for the car to be there for 7 days?

Fernando Avalos | Oct 15, 2021
either reserve when you buy tickets, to park on their property. Park on street if you can find a spot, or there are lots that another company manages, $15 per day.
Hi Luis, current travel restrictions to combat the spread of COVID-19 prevent B1 and B2 tourist from entering the United States. There are no travel restrictions into the U.S. for U.S. citizens or residents. Passengers traveling for essential reasons with proper documentation may also be permitted entry. A COVID vaccination appointment is not considered an essential reason to travel through CBX for visa holders. All foreigners traveling to obtain a COVID vaccine must be processed by the CBP Special Cases Office. CBX does not have a Special Cases Office, the closest offices are located in San Ysidro and Otay Mesa. We hope to be able to welcome you at CBX once the current travel restrictions are lifted.

CBX Cross Border Express staff is equipped with the latest Luggage safety Carts and they have plenty. As soon as you walk in there available at no cost. And if you need assistance with a wheelchair they can surely help you with that as well. They will safely take you all the way across the bridge and have someone else pick you up and provide the same courtesy service in Tijuana Mexico Airport. Happy traveling!
Do they provide a wheelchair for CBX crossing is for a senior citizen?
If you are USA citizen, there won't be any troubles... in my case is different, i have a flight to TJ on september, for pleassure, but if this situation remains i Will not be able to cross cuz i'm mexican...

Yes, but you need a passport and boarding pass of the plane in which you arrive or depart. If you go to the US and you are going to travel more than 25 miles, you need to process a permit once you cross the CBX.
They will ask you for a valid identification, if you travel as a Mexican citizen, you will show Mexican ID, if you travel as American citizen, you will use American passport, they might charge you a fee if you aren't traveling as Mexican citizen.
They will ask you for valid identification depending on how you travel, if you travel as an American citizen, it will be an American passport, if you travel as a Mexican citizen, you will show a valid Mexican passport or identification, it is possible that they will charge you a fee if your document is expired, it depends on the official.

you go to the tijuana gateway and there it is very close to the tijuana airport, obviously on the US side only to get there you have to have a boarding pass. It is very useful!!
Hello, Gerardo. In my (I always rent cars in the US airports), this time they were friends of Dan Diego for me, but I saw that Avis and Hertz have rent in the terminal on the other side of the CBX (Dan Diego), put in Google Avis San Diego CBX or Cross Border Xpress or Hertz CBX or San Diego CBX and will take you to see options. I know you can also do it from the Mexico offices of these companies.
I recommend that if you do it online to take advantage of packages and offers ... Since directly in their stands or CBX offices is usually more expensive .. unless you are lucky with promotions.
Regards..
CBX Shuttle ground transportation tickets can only be purchased inside the CBX terminal in Otay-Mesa. Departure at 10:30 am arrives at Santa Ana: 1:30 pm, Anaheim: 1:45 pm, Huntington Park: 2:30 pm and Downtown Los Angeles: 2:45 pm-3:00pm

If you are also going to exceed 25 miles (40 km) from the border into the country, you will need to pay the I-94 admission form.
It is worth it, above the long lines that are made on foot or by car through the sentry box.

Ricardo Reyes | Apr 13, 2022

No. If you are already vaccinated, it is not necessary. They will ask you about your vaccinations and that of your children, bring the vaccination records in case they request them.
I was in the US, I crossed through CBX and the usual, visa, passport, the usual questions, where are you going? Etc and about vaccines they asked if I was vaccinated and with what vaccine, they did not ask me for proof but I had them in case they did. It was everything.
Hello, Mr. Daniel, it is my opinion that the cbx is the border crossing from Tijuana to San Diego through the safest and easiest airport, you do not have to leave the airport at all, very professional and friendly people, whether you are from here, from the USA or goods from Mexico just confirm what document you need and don't hesitate to use that bridge, there is nothing to worry about since everything is closed, only very friendly travelers and workers!
HI Bertha, U.S. citizens and residents are not required to present proof of vaccination status when entering the United States. Furthermore, a COVID-19 test is not required for CBX passengers.
Hello Elsa, when the parents live together and there are no legal issues involved, there is no problem because they travel with only one parent, otherwise a notarized letter will be required where they are authorized to cross an international border.
Hi, proof of a negative COVID-19 test is not required for CBX passengers. The guidelines established by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) requiring a negative COVID-19 test result only apply to passengers arriving directly at U.S. airports on international flights.
Good Morning

Juan Flores | Feb 12, 2022
Cross Border Xpress | Feb 12, 2022
Hello Juan, people are considered fully vaccinated:
2 weeks (14 days) after your dose of an accepted single-dose COVID-19 vaccine.
2 weeks (14 days) after your second dose of an accepted 2-dose COVID-19 vaccine series.
2 weeks (14 days) after receiving the full series of an “active” COVID-19 vaccine (not placebo) in the US-based AstraZeneca or Novavax COVID-19 vaccine trials
2 weeks (14 days) after receiving 2 doses of any combination of accepted COVID-19 vaccines given at least 17 days apart.
He is considered fully vaccinated on the 14th day after completion of the vaccination schedule. For example, if your last dose was on October 1 at any time, October 15 would be the first day you meet the 14-day requirement.

It is likely that they will ask for the validity of 6 months from your entry as they indicate it on the website of the US embassy in Mexico. It will depend on the immigration agent.
people have other experiences but I can say that in my personal experience things are way easier with a passport or the passport card. Hope this helps 🙂
Hello Francisco, the bridge is 120 meters long, and approximately another 15 meters between the entrance to CBX and the access to the bridge, on both sides of the border.
You will need to download the app created by the Mexican Government and submit the eform for each traveler then after you'll get the clearance to cross,, no need to worry the airport staff will guide trhu the complete process. Have fun.
Hi Humberto, CBX tickets are not subject to a name, tickets can be used by another passenger as long as they meet the requirements for the crossing and are within the validity period.
The first thing is that you have the following documentation:
Passport or visa.
Current driver's license.
Certificate of legal residence (this is a requirement for American citizens).
Complete the Sentri form online.
Applicants over 18 years of age make a payment of $ 25. This is done online when submitting the pre-application electronically. Children under 18 years of age are exempt from this fee.
The steps you must follow to request the card are:
Pay the fees for the Sentri card application service through PayPal.
Download the Sentri pass application and complete it with your data.
After completing the Sentri application online, you must send it with the supporting documents, mentioned above, by email or fax.

Hi Gluna, on average CBX crossing time is about 15-30 minutes, depending on user speed and season. It is important to remember that crossing times will vary during peak season, especially during the summer and holidays. Always check with your airline how much time in advance you should arrive at the airport before your flight and consider additional time to comply with the health and safety measures implemented as a result of COVID-19.
The use of CBX does not require the submission of a negative COVID-19 test. The guidelines established by the CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention, for its acronym in English) that establish a requirement for a negative test for COVID-19, apply to passengers arriving directly at a United States airport on international flights.
We provide wheelchair and porter service to assist with the crossing of the CBX bridge upon request at no additional cost available for passengers on a first-come, first-served basis. The availability of this service cannot be guaranteed. If you require additional service, we recommend that you purchase the CBX ASSISTED PASS. The assisted pass is a personalized concierge service that can ensure the assistance of a porter with up to 3 pieces of luggage, preferential access at the access doors, along with other benefits. For more information, visit: https://cbxassistedpass.crossborderxpress.com/terms_and_conditions.

Volaris requests you check in at least 2-3 hours prior flight and this can be done via mobile app. Now your luggage minimum an 1-1.5 hour prior flight.

CARLOS MANUEL ESTRADA SANCHEZ | Sep 10, 2020
alejandro castillejos | Sep 10, 2020
Until September 21 is allowed only for essential activities for tourists. I mean NO. Check the CBP page for more info and they have already lengthened the date 4 times.
If you are still in service and they have a very efficient service since you can board without leaving Mexico. And I think they are open 24 hours a day but it depends on the flight schedule and the airline companies.
I'm going to cross September 4 of this year what's the time it takes to cross the bridge right now?
Oscar Ruiz | Sep 10, 2020

Depends on your flight. It took me less than 30 minutes from the border to the waiting area. But my flight was at 2 AM. Coming back from Mexico to US it was less than an hour.

I have a question when buying a ticket to Tijuana san diego via cbx leaves me on the Mexican side or the plane lands on the United States side, please help
You can cross Sanisidro into Mexico with just your State or Government issued I'd or license it helps if you have your birth certificate and if your going to the airport a copy of your airline ticket. Mexican Customs will check you in and let them know that you donot have a passport and the reason why in addition they will ask the reason for entry, if flying tell them .They will check you into there system and if your trip is less than 7 days they will wave the Mexican Visa payment and let you freely enter Mexico. Take a taxi to the airport they are dozens just outside the MX customs office. NOW when you return from your trip you can use the CBX bridge into. the USA with just your airline ticket ,US ID, CBX ticket, remember you might be held up at US customs because you dont have your passport ,show you I'd and birth certificate to them and your home. I'm familiar with this process because ii to flow out of TJ without a passport. Goodluck
Do you have an American residence? If you have it it is not a problem.
If you do not have a US residence and only have a visa, you can visit only for the period of time you have until your passport expires.
So, if you can cross.
Hi. It is better if you buy directly from the airline as you link it directly to your boarding pass. But you can also buy directly on the website of the CBX taking a flight paid and reserved.
There are two rates ...
telephones Cross border give you current information.
not spend two weeks of 150 dollars that pay at the cheapest rate for almost two weeks
Too bad what happened, check the page and you have a year to use it. But remember that these dates are crazy and the crossing time is longer. The ranks in the checkpoints were even larger, many people cross right now.
I also want to know but you can't. The closest shuttle to Riverside that goes to the boarder is in Santa Ana. Another wood is to grab the CoreCamios bus in Riverside to Sanisidro then a 2 mile taxi to the Autoport. I'd like to know to the nearest CBX shuttle in in Santa Ana you can also catch the CoreCaminos bus to Sanisidro and then get a taxi to CBX or the the Tijuana Airport Directly
Upon arriving at the airport to pass the bridge they tell you what to do. There is a person at a counter.
(they will ask for the flight ticket, or the code if you bring it digitally)
How about, when I left the CBX, I put my i94 permission in the black mailbox but they still don't register my output on the page, how long does it take to register it?

UPS ... really that I never checking you should tell me where to check ... xfa
Passport, otherwise they won't let you even look out. In addition to your American visa, boarding pass and CBX pass. That to enter usa.
To enter Mexico a Mexican ID, boarding pass, CBX pass, and if applicable foreign passport and FMM.
If Eva only asks you for the boarding pass of the flight that you arrived in Tijuana and your green card or passport and visa and you pay your 300 pesos or the equivalent in US dollars.
If I just got my visa, can I use the cbx bridge for the first time?
camelia espinoza | Sep 10, 2020
Roberto Ortega Zurita | Sep 10, 2020
As long as you get off a flight in Tijuana and want to use the Cross Border Xpress and bring your boarding pass, it is an INDISPENSABLE requirement to use the CBX, if not, they do not allow you to use it
Your question.: I'm going to cross from San Diego to Tijuana ... my question is if I can cross with my INE? I do not have a Mexican passport. Only the American.
Que tal si les llamas directamente. Si tiene un pasaporte estadounidense y es válido, no debería tener problemas para cruzar de San Diego a TJ, o incluso cruzar de regreso.
how about you call them directly. if you have a US passport and it's valid you shouldn't have a problem Crossing from San Diego to TJ, or even Crossing back.
In the surroundings of the airport it is full of hotels, because the CBX is about 20 min or it would be to find one in San Isidro, I recommend the Howard Johnson near Sea World and the airport, it is not very expensive and the Uber to CBX are 30dlls
Not less than 10 minutes, it only takes a little more time if you are an American citizen because you have to fill out a form and if you are going to tag with volaris
I can carry a cooler by cbx
Gonzalo Ramirez Cabrera | Sep 11, 2019
Andres González | Sep 11, 2019
Yes you can. It is the same as going overland at a normal crossing.
Do you have shuttles to San Juan Capistrano or somewhere before Santa Ana? And what is the price?
Laura Gonzalez | Sep 11, 2019

You can fix the shuttle in the arrivals area, leaving migration. The price seems to me to be between $ 16.00 and $ 20.00 US.

They can cross by CBX, if they arrive by plane to Tijuana and bring valid Visa and passport. You can buy the crossing ticket on the Mexican side. $ 20.00 per person. You can pick them up from this side in the arrivals hall.
People coming from Mexico can cross over the bridge for USA I can pick them up inside

How much does a round and family pass cost me for 5 people? We are going to travel in July and I want to know if I can pay for it at the cbx, thanks
francisco javier elias flores | Sep 11, 2019
Alex Hernandez | Sep 11, 2019
If you buy in CBX directly $ 20.00 per person per crossing, $ 40.00 round trip. Family has a lower cost per person. But I'm not sure of the price. The price of the pass if you buy it through your airline is $ 16.00 per crossing per person.
No, you can not cross the next day. I think there is a limit of 2 hours after the arrival of your flight. It is better to confirm it through CBX or your airline.
Good afternoon anyone can support me in knowing how much they charge on the US bridge to Tijuana, where can I grab the tickets, are there any luggage carts?
Thank you
Alberto Chavez | Sep 11, 2019
Alex Hernandez | Sep 11, 2019
The CBX costs you $ 20.00 one way and another as much back. Tickets can be purchased in the area where you register with your airline. If you buy online through your airline, they cost you $ 16.00 per segment. You can find the luggage carriers upon arrival at CBX.
There, you can get permission for a Mexican tourist? And what do they require?
Matha Galindo | Sep 11, 2019
Alex Hernandez | Sep 11, 2019
You must cross by Mexican migration before entering the airport in Tijuana. They must be able to, but they will require their passport from the country where they were born, in force. Remember that the CBX crossing can be used if you have a ticket to fly from Tijuana.
If I'm going to fly, can I buy the pass to cross it?
AG BELL | Sep 11, 2019
Alex Hernandez | Sep 11, 2019
Yes, you can but it costs cheaper if you buy it online through your airline. $ 16.00 per person each crossing. If you buy it directly $ 20.00.
How much do they charge on weekends overnight 24hrs?
Munoz Jose | Sep 11, 2019
Alex Hernandez | Sep 11, 2019
The rate os the same on weekends or weekdays. $15.00 to $25.00 per day depending where you park. Remember you can only cross through CBX if you have an airplane ticket.
What do you need to bring to cross from San Diego to Tijuana?
Brianna Lane | Sep 11, 2019
Alex Hernandez | Sep 11, 2019
You need your boarding pass or plane ticket. You can buy the CBX pass right there and it costs $ 20.00 per person each crossing or online with your airline and it costs $ 16.00. You will also need your passport.
Check your reservation and see what additional services you have. If you do not see CBX, check with the airline. It has happened to me that I add it and at the time of paying it does not include it. If that is your case and you did not include it, you need to compare it again online. Just check with Volsris that he did not actually include it.
Depending which gate you want to use in San Ysidro. For the East gate, there is parking next to Jack in the Box and across the street from it. For the West gate, there is a large parking across the street on Camino de la Plaza.
If there are passengers at 1:00 am. If there is not sometimes they cancel it but they can take you to San Ysidro or to the center where you can take the Greyhound.
It depends how long you wait. In parking lots 2 and 3 the first 15 minutes are free. In the pick-up area you can not stay long or leave the vehicle alone. If it is less than two hours they will charge you $ 5.00 in lots 2 and 3.
How often do the shuttles take people to the airport? Is there a schedule?
Santi Maxx | Sep 11, 2019
Alex Hernandez | Sep 11, 2019
Depending where you want to catch the shuttle. Yes there are schedules. Try calling CBX to get detailed information.
What are the requirements to use that crossing, it is agreed to bring everything, what happens if my tourist visa is valid but my Mexican passport does not
No, there is not. The shuttle leaves from Santa Fe Station, which isn't very far from there. You need to get an Uber or taxi from the airport to the station. I believe they depart every hour on the half hour but they don't run 24 hours. For exact times is better to call CBX
Goodnight! I'm going to travel to San Diego, it's the first time. I have a valid passport. I have a visa, official identification and birth certificate
You have to pass Mexican customs when entering the airport in Tijuana. If you have a revision, you may have to pay taxes and for the peso, it may not suit you.
Good Morning!! I want to travel on May 14 from Tijuana to Los Angeles California by land, can I buy my ticket that same day or do I have to buy it days before?
Karla Itzel Velazquez Rodriguez | Sep 11, 2019
Alex Hernandez | Sep 11, 2019
You can only cross by CBX if you arrived in Tijuana or leave Tijuana by air. If you travel by land you can not use this crossing.
Good evening, there is a possibility that a child under 15 years of age can cross back Tijuana San Diego and what requirements they ask for, if possible.
Yes you can. It costs you $ 7.00 dollars. They do not accept pesos. If you do not bring you can go to the cashier that is in the area of car rental and return.
You might be able to do it because once you crossed the CBX bridge, I don't recall anybody asking for the crossing pass. You have to actually enter the Tijuana airport to check in your luggage and they don't check for CBX crossing passes. So, nobody really knows if you are there from the previous day or not. As long as you are on time for your flight. Just don't exceed 24 hours. If you decide to do it, please let me know if it worked for you. I will very much appreciate it!
Go to Google and look for CBX so you can grab the information phone. There they can tell you exactly the hours and places near you to address it, as well as the cost.
Phone to make reservations to travel from Anaheim to CBX?
Epigmenio Amezcua Ochoa | Sep 11, 2019
Alex Hernandez | Sep 11, 2019
You can find it on Google. There he gives you the link to CBX, which is where you can find him. You will also find information on the transport companies that bring and bring passengers to CBX and will give you better information.
I don't know the exact address but they go by premium, lot 1, lot 2, lot 3, I believe until lot 5. They surround the CBX. Premium is at the front of the terminal and cost $25.00 per day. Lots 1 & 2 $20.00 per day and the rest $15.00 per day. You should be able to find them in your GPS with same address as CBX and specify the lot #.
Where does the transport that takes you to San Ysidro and / or Los Angeles leave you?
Ricardo Valdés | Sep 11, 2019
Alex Hernandez | Sep 11, 2019
There are different places where you can leave. I suggest you go to the CBX site. There you will find a phone number you can call and they will give you the exact information.
Depending on which door you want to use to exit. In the traditional San Ysidro exit there are two parking lots next to Jack in the Box. And for Ped West there is also.
The days you needs .15 x day or 18 x day you choice

Hello, I arrive in Tijuana on April 26 and plan to go for 5 days to San Diego (direct from the airport) and then I return to Tijuana to be 3 days and then I go to Cancun ... I meet the requirements to cross the bridge ?
Jessica Troncoso Asis | Sep 11, 2019
Alex Hernandez | Sep 11, 2019
Yes, you can cross into San Diego, you will need your boarding pass, passport and purchase the CBX ticket; If you buy it through the airline it costs $16.00 and $20.00 US direct at CBX. On your way back to Tijuana you can leave through the San Ysidro or Otay Mesa port of entry, since you are not going to fly that day. I suggest when you cross, that if you are going to be more than 3 days, request a permit at Immigration in CBX, it costs $6.00 dollars, they do not accept pesos. So you will be in order.

If your question is the cost to cross on these dates, I can tell you that it will be the same. $ 16.00 per person if you buy it through your airline and $ 20.00 if you buy it at CBX.

CAN I BRING A MEDIUM SPEAKER WITH MIGO AND CROSS THE BOARDER EXPRESS?
No, you need to buy another one northbound on the Tijuana side by the luggage pick up area. It will cost you $20.00. If you buy it through the airline is $16.00.

There are private transportation companies that work out of CBX and they can actually drop you off at your home.
Do you need a passport book to use the cbx or is the ENHANCED ID ok to use along with expired passport book??

It depends where you live. 805 or 5 South to 905 East. Exit at Britania Blvd. and follow signs for CBX. It is in Otay Mesa on the American side, without leaving San Diego. They must carry purchased tickets and an American passport if they are citizens, if not, the necessary Mexican identifications or the country that they are. If you have not purchased the ticket to use the crossing, you can purchase it before crossing. The cost is $ 16.00 per person. Keep in mind that you have to cross migration from the Mexican side.
In the car rental area, there is a counter where you can purchase transportation for yourself or shared, either to San Diego and most likely to LA as well.

When you print your boarding pass, it will show the services you paid for, such as extra luggage or CBX crossing. You need to show your boarding pass at the Volaris counter and they will give you the actual ticket.

When you leave immigration on the American side, there is the area for renting cars. There is a counter for ground transportation, where they sell tickets for different places. I'm sure you can buy one from LA there.
With the confirmation number, at the CBX entrance, your airline will give you your tickets before crossing the Bridge. That is connected to the airport.
