Hello. Buenas tardes. If I want to cross this October 30, 2021, I can cross, can it be considered an essential crossing to go and vaccinate my 13-year-old daughter?

Hello Edith, by official provision, to combat the spread of COVID-19, the crossing for visitors with a B1 and B2 tourist visa to the United States is restricted. There is no crossing restriction for US citizens or residents. Passengers for the purpose of travel considered essential may also cross. A COVID-19 vaccination appointment is not considered an essential reason for travel through CBX for tourist visa passengers. All foreigners traveling to obtain a COVID vaccine must be processed at a Special Cases Office of the United States immigration authorities. CBX does not have an office of this type for Special Cases, the closest offices are located in the San Ysidro and Otay Mesa ports of entry. We look forward to welcoming you to CBX once the restrictions have been lifted.

November 8th. There is a note that as of November 8 the border opens for non-essential trips for tourists.
