Crossing from SD to TJ... do you come out to the TJ Airport or do you still have to take a shuttle or taxi from there?

Yes I would be flying with volaris

If you fly with Volaris and you see a long line out to the tent that is outside the cbx building, I suggest you skip it and just cross the cbx bridge. Volaris just starts weighing your luggage there to get ahead you still have to carry your luggage across the bridge. So I personally have skipped it and just crossed so that I don't waist time there. Volaris still weighs the luggage on the other side. Don't forget to take your printed tickets or make sure they are on your phone.

X boarder is a direct doorway/bridge not only into Mexico TJ Airport but a direct entrance into the United States an into San Diego with out ever leaving the security of the Airport. This is the safest most secure and speedy way to travel via Tijuana Mexico in my opinion.
