Great experience - folks have been so helpful in my adoption process.
Patrick Moorehead
The staff was very nice and professional, made the visit pleasant.
billie sue lozier blundon
They were compassionate and caring
Renee Bethards
They were patient with my dog, penny . Big blessing to me!
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
The Humane Society has a clinic right behind them that does $5.00 Rabies vaccination every second Saturday of the month. They also have the other vacinations cheaper then I have ever found at the same time.
If you catch them with vouchers it will be free for the most part but I just had a cat fixed and it cost me 25 because of cone for male and pain meds are not covered by it but really smooth process just took 3 weeks to get an appointment so if you have time to wait and want to save money that's the route to go
They do. It is on the website. Tcap is another option
They put animals to sleep for free to the public. PLEASE BE THERE WITH HER TILL THE END. You will hurt so much more if you leave her to be euthanized by herself. Also, if you don't plan to cremate her or keep some piece (paw print/picture/fur) just know they throw the bodies away in a dumpster.
Jerry, we apologize, we do not. Your local city/county animal control would be who you would need to call.
Fernanda, no appointment is necessary, and we accept animals between 12-6 p.m. If there were anything we could do to help you keep your pet, we are happy to offer resources. We are often at capacity, so we will help any way we can- allowing your pet to stay in your home. Spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, food and more. Please let us know. Koraima, You need to call one of the numbers on the voucher, please. Amore, our admissions is open 7 days a week, from 12 noon until 6 pm. No appointment for surrendering is necessary.
They may be having a phone issue.
It doesn't cost anything to surrender an animal
Visit hsnt.org/clinic for all our clinic services. We can certainly help!
They do allow you to choose which type of animals you want to foster. If you don't want to foster bottle fed, they will accommodate you. And the difference between bottle fed and unweaned is that unweaned can eat wet food. Bottle fed cannot. 🖖
Their website says they can help find lost pets although I believe animals are brought to them they do not go looking for them unless asked to help with emergencies. I hope you find your dog. Sometimes checking all the surrounding shelters and pounds helps and If he or she has a vets tag of some kind seeing if they've heard anything is a good place to start too. Good luck!
I am so sorry, at this time we do not. Our euthanasia is a free service for our community. You are welcome to be present before and after, but not during the administration of the final drug. If that is your wish, you will need to go to a full service veterinarian clinic.
Depends on where you live call non emergency police department number and they can refer you
All puppies get tapeworm. They must be dewormed regularly. Look up a schedule for recommended vaccinations and deworming on the internet. Tapeworm med is avail at Walmart, Tractor Supply, Pet smart, Petco and many feed stores. Please look up how to care for a puppy if you don't know what to expect.

If you wait they often have specials during the seasons they get overwhelmed with strays
Jalysa, please visit our website at https://www.hsnt.org/rehoming-or-surrendering-a-pet. There you will find all the information about surrendering a pet to us. You can also schedule an appointment on our site as well.
Hello Kora, we would encourage you to visit hsnt.org to view all available pets. Our intake changes daily so the answer to your question is yes! However, it may vary at different times. You will see all available pets online, as well as by following our Facebook and Instagram pages @humanesocietyofnorthtexas which will then show all pets attending the offsite adoption events. Happy adopting!
Charlene- our spay/neuter services range from $45-$75 per pet. We do have assistance for underserved areas, so please reach out to our clinic to learn more! www.hsnt.org/clinic
Jennifer, we are not able to take in aggressive pets. We would recommend you taking the pet to your local Animal Control.
Yes they rehome, but also contact me on fb,I can tell u how to keep her legally,.Shonna Davis.
They do have small animals there, but call first to make sure.
Yes
Please visit our website at https://hsnt.org/clinic/ to learn more about our Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) Program. We are happy to help you spay or neuter feral cats, to be returned to the area found.
Call the north Texas humane society and asked for Stacy she'll tell you exactly what to do and when
Our volunteer age in adoption centers is 16. There are other “jobs” for younger children. Please visit https://hsnt.org/volunteer/ to learn more!
James, if the pet you surrender is still available for adoption you could go that route. If you need resources, swing by our main facility and see if we can help so you don’t need to surrender. 1840 E Lancaster Ave. Fort Worth, TX 76103
Eric, at our offsite adoption event this weekend, yes. We'll be at Petco Presidio and Petco Watauga tomorrow 7-14-19 with our adoption trailers. Please visit our Facebook Event Page for more information!
We do not pick up strays. The city you live in will need to be alerted. Thank you.
Hi Kristie, we often do offer free, or $10 adoptions. If you follow our social media pages, you'll be notified via Facebook, or check our website. hsnt.org. We actually have a free adoption event happening THIS Friday, April 19, 2019 at ALL locations! We haven't posted it yet- so stay tuned.
Absolutely! We're happy to help. And thank you so much for the possible donation.
I'm sure it was just an error or the tag could have fallen out of the paper work. I believe a rabies shots have to be given once a year. Check with that humane society to find out how often . I hope this helps.
Best bet is to check the website- hsnt.org, daily. Our intake changes throughout the day, every day. The website will always show what is available to adopt!
I would call for information. Not all is the same prices or circumstances. Thanks for asking. Peace**
Rita, I am so sorry, we do not have a wellness clinic. We would recommend you take your pet into a veterinarian for care.
Yes!!!! They have a wide range of dogs—baby to full-grown! Just hop in, and their volunteers will be MORE than glad to help you find the pup of your dreams!👍👩👍
Where can I take 3 unwanted guinea pigs?
Great staff here.
You certainly can bring your current pet to our facility for a meet n greet. We’re happy to help. 🐾 Our website is hsnt.org.
Our equine and livestock adoption fees vary. Best bet is to check out our website HSNT.org and click on adopt/equine&livestock. They also have a Facebook page @HSNTEquine&Livestock!
When you carried the cat in they explain the paperwork very well and you signing release to them says you fully understood this people work to their best to find a forever place with minimal funds
If you go to the web site they have a price list.
Not a problem.....the staff is great here!!
Sorry to tell you this, but for the most part they always put down strays cats, they only put up for adoption the serendered one, like pets they can no longer care for,it sucks but not to much to be done, and that guy he is very rude, won't give a straight answer
Yes I do believe it's the same number for them
Our adoption fees range from $30-$285 depending on breed and age. All adoptions come with a spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines, microchip, a free vet exam, a month of complimentary pet insurance, and a bag of Purina One.
Call the humane society. There should be an emergency operator on call
If your surrendering your pet, it doesn't cost anything.
You need to take your dog in. Its not safe for you to ask here and expect a professional answer nor is it wise for your poor pup to suffer. There are several vets in the area and if you have to surrender him to the Humane Society because it'd be too expensove to provide the care he needs, maybe it'd be best.
I have not heard of any such thing. The cost you pay covers the dogs vaccinations and to get it fixed.
And call the SPCA sometimes they do it for free if you qualify..some vets do it for a lower price too
Yes. You can always take your pet after euthanasia. They also have info for pet cemeteries and crematorium if you need information.
They are having one this week or weekend check the website or call for more information
They're open 12 - 4 by appointment and 4 to 5 for walk up services.
Sylvia, thank you for contacting us. We do not pick up animals. We would recommend reaching out to your local animal control facility.
They have quite a lot of dogs. Mostly large dogs or puppies that will be large. Not very many small dogs.. They go fast. Getting a dog or puppy from them is literally saving a life.
HSNT has built our policies around saving lives. Our adoptions have grown in the past few years by expanding our transfer and foster programs in order to help save even more lives. This past year our average live release rate has been 96% or greater. Our live release rate in 2021 was 96%. We do everything in our power to find homes for all pets in our care or transfer them to other shelters, rescues or fosters. We continue to make great strides.
The fee depends on what kind of animal and yes you have to make an appointment. They are less expensive than a regular Vet. You can ask all your questions when you make an appointment.
It really depends on the animal. I can tell you they are much more affordable than any where else.
It varies on ur pets weight. It will cost more the older they get. If they do it at under 6 months it could b about $150 + u still have 2 get flea n tick n heartworm medicine so he is protected from all that. Ur pet is worth it. So get about 400 to $500 and u should b good 2 cover all expenses on that. Rabies shots r only once every 3 yrs so that's minus 1 on yrly. vaccinations. When u get parvo n distemper vaccinations w/ Dr's visits its not as much. I paid $300 max on a German shepherd once a year. Sometimes it wasn't as much. It depends on ur dogs 🐕 health. The more food n walks they get the healthier he is. Less money on yrly checkups. They r worth it my friend.
I do not work fir the Humnane society , therefore I unfortunately don't have the answer to your question. My apologies. However, a few suggestions to get the samw outcome is posting online or run an add. Word kof mourh or flyers areound then neighborhood. Wish you best , Lula
I volunteered there last week, and they had plenty dogs from small to Xtra large. You should definitely consider stopping by. They are all so sweet and looking for a forever home. Hope that helps!
I believe they do I know they have a no kill policy
Yes but you have to call and make a appointment
If you are 65 or older they have a progam called Rae of Hope that will give the shots for free, otherwise they are 5$ each so you can get them done 1 at a time. I would still call them and ask if they have any other free programs available. Good luck they will take good of your pet!
Gallath, please visit our website at https://www.hsnt.org/adopt. There you will our process and you are also able to schedule an appointment at one of our Adoption Centers.
Rachel, please visit our website at https://www.hsnt.org/become-a-foster-hero. There you will find our foster application and general information about our foster program.
Jacqueline, thank you for the offer of sheets, however, we aren't able to use sheets, we prefer blankets and towels.
Don't be ur pets is a little but it's u no they don't do cleaning it's a place on Lancaster vet that's does a great job next to the dog shelter
They really do have a 90% adoption rate they are really good it's on martin st in fort worth tx
They should. However, I think in certain zip codes. So get on their website and check.
They don't "sell" guinea pigs. You can adopt one but they don't sell anything to house them.
Sophia, you can view all of our adoptable pets on our website at hsnt.org.
Vivian, please visit our website at hsnt.org/rehoming-or-surrendering-a-pet for more information on our surrender process.
Animal control will likely not help with feral cats who cannot be easily caught. You need a group like mid cities community cats to help with catching and spaying them. I know it's been several months, but Linda, did you get help with your kittens? Can you message me or reply?
Mirna, HSNT's clinic only offers low cost spay/neuter services and vaccines. We do not do x-rays or provide wellness checks. We would recommend you contacting vets in your surrounding area for these services.
Cheryl, thank you for reaching out to us. HSNT's clinic does not provide this type of veterinary care. We provide low cost spay/neuter services and vaccines. We would recommend contacting local vets and seeing what their estimated quotes would be. Different vets can differ greatly in fees.
Depends on how full they are... and if it's adoptable..they do try
u
I would call. I believe right now they are doing appointments only
The zip code for our 1840 E. Lancaster location is 76103.
Amanda, thank you for reaching out to us. Our clinic does not offer this service. Our clinic only offers low cost vaccines and spay/neuter services. We would recommend contacting a local full service vet clinic.
Check with the humane society. In the past I've known them to come out and spay and neauter ferrals for free and then leaving them back where they found them.
Hello Randy, Please email [email protected] or visit our website (hsnt.org/clinic) for more information. We're here to help. Our Clinic team will be in touch with you within 24 hours once you've emailed. Let us know if you need anything else.
James, our adoptions fee vary. Please visit our website at hsnt.org to view all of our adoptable pets. There you will find our adoption process and adoption fees for the pet you are interested in adopting.
Yes you can. Please visit our website at hsnt.org to view all of our adoptable pets and to view our adoption process.
Star, please visit our website at hsnt.org. You can view all of our adoptable pets there, including any birds we may have.
I believe ur question has been answered. Please adopt and make sure the animal is what u want. Those guys get attached very quickly. If u give them up it breaks their hearts. They r like children. Once they get used 2 u... that's it. Small dogs can live 4 almost 30 years. So make sure it is what u want. Like children they will follow u even into the bathroom. Haha 😄
Diana, unfortunately we do not offer nail trimming services in our clinic, and would recommend you reach out to your veterinarian or local pet stores for recommendations on where to find these services. Have a great day!
Yes sir, adoptions are by appointment - at all locations including our PetSmart Cat Adoption Centers (in-store). Visit hsnt.org to view all available pets and which location they are at.
The human society off Lancaster will take them. They will be adopted fast.
We would recommend contacting a shelter or rescue in your area. We service the North Texas area. Although we do allow people from out of state to adopt with us, you would have to be here in person to process the adoption.
Tony, when you are fostering with HSNT, we provide you everything you need! If you are interested in learning more about our foster program, please visit our website at https://www.hsnt.org/become-a-foster-hero.
Please let the vet know that the medicine provided is still not helping.
Rasheda, please visit our website at hsnt.org to view all of our adoptable pets!
Kimberly, Please visit our website at hsnt.org to view all of our adoptable pets and their adoption fee.

Deborah, please visit our website at https://www.hsnt.org/rehoming-or-surrendering-a-pet for more information about the services we offer.
You need to call and schedule a time for drop off. You can't enter the building, they do intake from your car. There's a number you call on door when you get there for your appt. They also ask you to go to their website and print out paperwork on each pet to save time at appt.
Mahlia, please contact your local animal control or law enforcement in your area to make a report.
Our clinic is currently closed to the public.
All available pets can be found on our website hsnt.org. Our available pets change daily, so make sure you check often!
They usually have more dogs than puppies. But they do get puppies. You should look at their website, and you should go up there and look at them. There are some dogs that are not very old but they're not puppies either. I got one that was almost a year old and turned out to be one of the best dogs I ever had.
We hold many different adoption events throughout the year. Please visit our website at hsnt.org to our Facebook events. When we have adoption specials they will be posted in each of those places.

Heather, unfortunately we do not have Animal Control Officers. You would need to reach out to your local city and request them to pick up animals.
I'm not sure how to obtain a spay voucher but I will bet that if you will do a search on how to do that you'll come up with something. I wish I had time to do that for you right now and I would. Just extremely short on time but I wanted to try to throw an idea that might help
Yes they have cats. They dont adopt out newborns. They need to be at least 2lbs. So you can adopt a kitten but not a newborn
Hi Leslie, please visit https://hsnt.org/faq/ to learn more about surrendering pets!
Thank you..I was hoping for an additional option. HSNT is not high on my list for services. I appreciate it though. We will pursue privately I think.
This shelter does the best job possible to find homes for all pets. They use all available outlets including sending to no kill rescues. Please keep in mind, no kill shelters are great but they limit the number of animals they accept. HSNT relies exclusively on donation. Additionally, they could use assistance with volunteers. https://hsnt.org/volunteer/ The best way to limit the number of euthanized pets is to get your pets spayed and neutered and not buy from breeders or roadside sellers.
They are advertised as a no kill shelter.
Barbara, we offer low-cost flea and tick treatment in our clinic. It is a topical treatment which can be purchased over the counter. Our Spay & Neuter Clinic is open 9 a.m.–5 p.m. 2309 Chester St., Fort Worth, TX 76103.
Hello. Yes, we do have birds available for adoption on occasion. If you'll check our website– hsnt.org and view adoptable pets, our inventory changes daily! Our website will tell you which location the bird is at, when available.
All available pets can be found on our website hsnt.org. Yes, we certainly do have birds, and such but at this time—no. Keep checking, our intake changes daily!
Kimisha, our vaccination clinic is the second Saturday of every month, 10am—12pm! Visit https://hsnt.org/clinic/ for prices and more info!
Good morning. We are an Open Door shelter, meaning we will take all pets in need. If you need them spayed/neutered, vaccinations, food, etc- any other resources to help keep your pets IN your home, we'd be happy to help. Our goal is to keep them with you, and would ask you do what you can to find homes for them. If this isn't an option, you won't need an appointment, you would simply come during business hours 12-6 daily. I hope this helps. Let us know if we can assist you!
They don't do that as quickly as you've been told not puppys especially
Depending on how small the dog is by weight it will determine how much you'll need of a flea and or tick dips you can get at any local store especially Petco and or get. that we loxal Humane society.
That one I know with the donation fees include for either dogs and or feline they will give you a vouchers for your spay or neuter from what I understand they used to do they did when I adopted my special friend. Be sure ask for the coupons to help you with their first of shots for the rabies and combo shot of distemper parvo and corona after you pay the adoption fees. I hope that's helps you and good luck to u and your friend. Godspeed
Becky, our adoption fees vary from $30-$285. All adoptions include the pet being spayed/neutered, microchipped, current on vaccines, a free pet exam with 10 days of adoption and 30 days of free pet health insurance.
Does anyone on here know where to get help for my dog
you sure can mame
not for go online their website to find out that info. there should b able to find a contact number as well.
View all available pets at hsnt.org, depending on which of our 4 locations, you would arrive after they open, interview with an adoption counselor or manager, and then adopt your furever friend. You'll need a valid driver's license as well. Adoption fees vary based on age, breed and which type of pet you select.
We are indeed at capacity with cats right now. We could medically treat them for you if you are willing to foster them until they are of age for adoption? We will provide everything you need. Food, medication, vetting- we'll cover it all if you'll raise them up. Just stop by our Admitting Department and speak with a foster coordinator, or the director of admitting.
Hi Jeri, Yes, we offer monthly free veterinary services to senior citizens at community centers around the Fort Worth area. You can visit https://hsnt.org/rae-of-hope-services/ monthly to see which location we'll be at.
Just keep it away from the opposite Henry. 🖖
Puff is a 6 year old female maine coon mix, who has been transferred to our main facility at 1840 E Lancaster Ave. 76103. Her adoption fee is $30.
Kayla, we are an open door shelter. If you'd like to to learn more about everything HSNT does in our community and for our community, we invite you to visit hsnt.org.
I would try and see if you can help her to adjust. Our pup had been returned to the society and we knew that unless she did something like bite us or our kids, we were going to do everything in our power to not take her back. I heard a sad statistic that over half of the animals adopted at events will be returned the next week. Hopefully, things will work out for you. Just speak in a soothing voice and maybe that will help the pup.
Stephanie, if you took in a dog, we would definitely recommend you bring her to your vet for a checkup. If you adopted from HSNT all our pets are fixed, microchipped, vaccinated to date and more. You even get a free vet exam and a month of pet insurance when you adopt. If you took a dog from someone you know, just to reiterate, we recommend you bring your furkid to your local vet for a thorough checkup.
Yes, ages 16 and older! Visit our website at HSNT.org and fill out the application.
Sarahi, if you feel your cat is in distress or sad, we would encourage you to take him/her to the vet for a checkup.
We absolutely do! Please visit our website, fill out the application and you should hear back within 72 hours. https://hsnt.org/become-a-foster-parent/
Kittens are typically $75. They are spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, you'll get a month of free pet insurance, a complimentary vet exam at a participating vet, and more!
We do not. The suggestions made by other Google reviewers may be a great place to start.
We would love to have additional volunteers. The minimum age is 16. Visit hsnt.org and fill out the Volunteer Application. Happy to have you!
Hi Cheryl, our vaccination clinic is the second Saturday of each month at our clinic. Please visit hsnt.org to view all available services and pricing. We're happy to help.
No.
If you have seen this give the information to animal control or police. It is illegal. It harms the animal, the area they are dropped and could pose a health and saftey issue.
If you're looking for pictures of the adoptable pets https://hsnt.org/adopt/ let's you pick what kind of pet youre looking for. If you were looking for lost pets that have been found https://hsnt.org/lost-found/ has pictures at the bottom of found pets and at the top is help to find lost pets.
You wouldn’t donate, you would surrender. However we are at capacity. If they are old enough for adoption, we can get them vetted and on the adoption floor. If they are still young, and you’d like to foster, we will provide all supplies until they are big enough. We’re open 12-6 at 1840 E Lancaster Ave 76103
We would recommend finding a low-cost veterinarian. Unfortunately we don’t have a wellness clinic, I’m so sorry.
They are taken to the Fort Worth location at 4900 Martin Street, Fort Worth, Texas, 76119.
Visit our website HSNT.org.
We do not charge to surrender your pet. We would ask you to attempt to rehome your pet first. We are able to provide resources to help you keep your pet in your home, for free. Please call 817-332-4768 and we will share more!
Hi Donald. We actually are not animal control, you would need to contact your local animal control service. We do not pick up animals.
We are open until 6 pm. We do not charge for humane euthanasia at this time. We are here to help, so please come by 1840 E Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, 76103. We take our last appointment at 5:30 pm.
Try and find them a home before u surrender the animal but it qont coast a thing and there very polite and professional and will help you with all ur pet needs
Come on over- our foster department would be happy to help! We're open 12-6 daily. 1840 E. Lancaster Ave. Fort Worth, 76103
Yes and they are very nice and understanding
Please consult your location vet. I’m sorry, we wish we had answers for you but sounds like kitty needs to be seen.
Sure, it's HSNT.org. If you'd like to stop in and speak with our Intake Department, they will certainly help you! We are located at 1840 E Lancaster Ave. Fort Worth, 76103. We are open 12-6 pm daily.
Yes! Please visit HSNT.org to fill out the application and read the rules. Click on the Volunteers tab to learn more. 🐶
We adopt kittens for $75. We're going into kitten and puppy season, so we will have them at all locations- but we would always recommend you check the website first to see what is available hsnt.org.
We have feral cat programs to offer vaccinations, and sterilization for free in many zip codes. If you would like to participate in the TNR Program (Trap, Neuter, Release), we are happy to help. If you feel her life is in danger, of course, surrender her to us 12-6 daily.
I wouldn't necessarily say it's a bad idea. If you speak with adoption counselors at all locations, they are trained professionals and will certainly help you find your best friend- rain or shine!
We have a low-cost vaccine clinic the second Saturday of every month, from 10 am-12 pm. You do not need to be a Ft Worth resident. Come to 2309 Chester Street Fort Worth, TX 76103. We have numerous services, if you'll visit hsnt.org, you can see all we can do to help you!
Yes, we serve all of North Texas. We are so sorry you are going through this right now. We're open 12-6 p.m. daily.
You would definitely need to reach out to your local law officials, either municipal or county. We are not law enforcement, however when we are invited in by officials, we are happy to assist. Again, please reach out to your police, deputy, municipality- or county and report any suspected neglect and abuse.
As long as you have undeniable proof that it is indeed your pup, I think they might waive it, but let's see what response you get tomorrow morning.
This place is really great. They did a very good job on my little HOPE. THANK YOU ALL VERY MUCH. YOU ALL ARE #1 IN MY HEART
We do not- not at this time. We're going into puppy season, so keep watching the website!
Our phone lines have been down since last week during the storm, whenever you find a pet, please bring it to us.
Any guinea pigs we have available for adoption would be on our website- I'm fairly certain we do!!! We have them often, so if there aren't any at this time, please check back. hsnt.org They'll be under small animals.
Our shelter is Open Door, meaning that we accept all incoming animals, regardless of the condition of the animal. We do not have a waiting list and we will rarely reject an animal. We don’t impose a time limit on an animal’s stay and strive to find new ways to treat animals with medical or behavior problems, as well as enrich the pets while in our care. At times, we do have to euthanize animals, but mainly for reasons pertaining to health or temperament. When our shelter is full, unfortunately we may need to euthanize for space; however, only as a last resort. We do everything in our power to find homes for all pets in our care or transfer them to other shelters, rescues, or fosters.
She is going in a cage but, she will be cared for and have friends until adoption by a new family.
Hi Ashley. Jump on our website, HSNT.org/volunteer and fill out the volunteer application online. You have to fill it out from a computer/laptop (not your phone). Our Volunteer Coordinator will be in touch within 72 hours. Happy volunteering!
Consuelo, I am so sorry we do not offer a wellness clinic. We would recommend you take your puppy to your local veterinarian.
I responded to your previous question on the Keller page. Let us know if you have further questions.
Miguel, we would encourage you to return the kittens to the spot you found them- wait and watch to see if the mom comes back. If she does not return shortly, please bring them to us and we will do our best to find foster care for bottle babies. Or, if you were willing to foster, we will provide all the supplies you'll need for free- until they are old enough for adoption. Our Intake Department is open 12- 6 pm daily.
Michelle, we offer humane euthanasia, however we do not manage cremation. If you would like to have your pet cremated, you would need to organize that service. We are happy to help in your time of need but you would need to organize cremation, unless you'd like to take your fur-baby to be buried.
Our Intake Department, and all other departments open at noon. If there is anything we can do to help you keep you cat, we’re happy to help. Spay/neuter, vaccinations, any other additional resources are available, just let us know. If you must surrender we open at noon- 1840 E Lancaster Ave 76103
Yes, it does. We offer humane euthanasia at our Fort Worth location, but we do not handle cremation services.
Unfortunately, you sign a contract with the understanding we will not release any information on the surrendered pet. It it highly unlikely days later you would get her back. I suppose the bigger question is what can we do to help you decide to keep your pet. Do you need help? We’re here to help if you have needs. We have programs to help support you if that’s a decision maker. Please let us know.
Cheryl, we would always defer you to your veterinarian for these questions. There are many factors to consider and he/she would be the best person to answer this question.
Please try to find his home with other people you may know. We love to but we are at our full. Don't want where you live but ask your city animal control office. Good luck.. Peace

You should contact the clinic during normal hours and they can assist you.
The Texas coalition for animal protection does low cost neuters.

It's the law that your city animal control maybe able to help.
They don't charge, but please call them, they get so many cats in, not sure how many they could handle at once.

Google Search revealed the best rated dog boarding facility in FTW as Camp Bow Wow https://www.campbowwow.com/fort-worth-west/?utm_source=GMB&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=FortWorth
Hi Kerry, when an animal is brought in as a stray, there are 2 considerations. Do they have a microchip, or not. If they do- we will wait 10 days before release to our adoption program. In the meantime we reach out by phone, email and mail to contact the owners, making daily calls. We post them to our website and promote them on social media. If no one has claimed the pet after the 10 days, it will become available for adoption. If there is no microchip or identifying information, the stray hold is 3 days before release. Please let us know if you have further questions.
It's best to know you did the best you could and they are doing the best they could to get the forever home needed,They just had a large adoption advent With best wishes the cat found it home there.lt involves manpower to keep tabs on all the animals so it's better to use manpower on the hundreds of fur babies they attend, feeding, cleaning, and connecting to their forever families. As a stray you had options like getting it health care and providing it a good home.My own experience with them started when l was 13 we had a stray dog wonder up on our farm had 14 pups neighbor kids and l thought we could handle it was just puppies after a couple weeks the cute wore off and mother dog died we gave in and told our parents. Needless to say they took all the puppies and the $9.00 we scraped together that was 45+ years ago never had any complaints in all my years of dealing with them.plz give it a break and be thankful for what they can do
We offer free humane euthanasia for anyone in need of these services. No appointment is necessary. 1840 E Lancaster Ave 76103

Yeah I think you should be able to do that.
Candy, I’m so sorry to hear this about your kitty. Unfortunately we don’t have a public clinic. I would recommend calling local vets and get pricing. I am so sorry.
Dawn's response is absolutely correct! All cats 6 months and older are free to adopt until Friday (November 30). If you own your home, you just need picture ID and proof of residence. If you rent, you will need to show you are allowed to have a pet. We open at noon.
Yes its $30.00 cat or dog
If you'd like to come to our Spay & Neuter Clinic on the second Tuesday of the month every month (that's this weekend, November 10th) from 10 am-12 pm, you can speak with the vet about her vaccines and side effects. We're happy to help you.
We do not do teeth cleaning, however you could check Texas Coalitiin for Animal Protection (TCAP).
No
The Humane Society of North Texas is Open Door, meaning that we accept all incoming animals, regardless of the condition of the animal. We do not have a waiting list and we will never reject an animal. We don’t impose a time limit on an animal’s stay and strive to find new ways to treat animals with medical or behavior problems, as well as enrich the pets in our shelters. We do sometimes have to euthanize animals, but mainly for reasons pertaining to health or temperament. When our shelter is full, unfortunately we may need to euthanize for space; however, only as a last resort. We do everything in our power to find homes for all pets in our care or transfer them to other shelters, rescues, or fosters. I hope this helps answer your questions.
You can purchase low-cost heartworm prevention at our (Spay & Neuter Clinic 2309 Chester St Fort Worth, TX 76103) but proof of heartworm testing is required. You must either show results of recent heartworm test, or proof of being on heartworm prevention. I hope this helps! Call 817 332 4768 x 112 for more info.
Yup
This is not a no kill shelter. I don't know how long they keep them.
Always go to the shelter. If you call they have to many animals to be able to pick yours out correctly. Also I would take a picture with you and leave it just in case your pet comes in later. JFYI
You might try ASPCA also.
We do. It's a $100 cash deposit, and you would use it for 10 days. 1840 E. Lancaster Ave. Fort Worth, TX 76103
Crisma, if it would help you be able to keep your pet- we would be happy to provide free flea treatment, vaccines, a spay/neuter surgery or any other resource you may need. If you still want to surrender your pet, our Saxe-Forte location is open 12-6 for surrendering.
Hi Justin, If we can help you keep your pet by providing food, vaccines, a spay/neuter surgery or other services, it would be our pleasure. We are at capacity right now- so if you'd like to reconsider surrendering we will gladly help you keep your pet! If keeping your pet is not an option, you may surrender your pet at our Saxe-Forte location located at 1840 E Lancaster Ave., 76103. Please help us place your pet by having a "profile" written up about your pets personality.
Hi Erika, we do not spay or neuter rabbits, I am so sorry.
We do not. I am so sorry we don't have the equipment.
Art, to make sure I’m understanding-are you asking if we have a program for people to temporarily place their pets? Or do we have a foster program where you can foster, for a short time?
This Saturday, September 8th, from 10 a.m.– 12 p.m.! Check out our website at https://hsnt.org/clinic/.
Senaida, once you surrender a pet, we are unable to offer any further information. I’m sorry.
We will always recommend you try to rehome your pets with someone you know. We can also help provide resources allowing you to keep your pet(s). Surrendering for many to a shelter, is a last resort. We will certainly help once all means are exhausted. We are here for our community, just come in to our Admitting Department and let's see how we can help!
Gisell, our Intake Department is open seven days a week, from 12 noon– 6 p.m. You are welcome to surrender your guinea pig any day.
They don't unless they're gonna die anyway from injuries or disease
You are welcome to surrender them to us from 12-6 pm daily. Would you be able to keep them if we provided food and resources? 1840 E Lancaster Ave.

Ty. Well her son did it to her sooo
Sorry, I know nothing about reptiles
You can go to TCAP they have several locations.
They run shot clinic's that costs about $5 to $10 dollars!
Eyzi, you need to bring a drivers license showing a current address!
Hi Carmen, that is a great question for your veterinarian. I believe they can at most clinics, however a call first would be best.
Check out the Haltom City Animal Hospital. He's a good vet and his fees are the least ive ever paid in my 30 years of caring for my dogs
Not sure what you mean
If you send an email to the clinic, it only cost 20 bucks at the low cost clinic on Chester Street.
Just because your dog is old does not mean that he needs to be put down. Unless he is suffering in some way shape or form. We don't put humans down because they are old.
Aaron, we do not have a wellness clinic. We have a Spay & Neuter Clinic for sterilization surgeries and low-cost vaccinations (once a month).
Reyna, what city are you in? Our intake hours at Saxe-Forte (main shelter) are 12–6 p.m., however we are at capacity right now and would ask that you come to the main location at 1840 E Lancaster Ave to discuss availability.
Until you get her spayed she can just keep going into heat and possibly get pregnant. Email the clinic to make an appt to get her spayed.
Give them a call and see if they can do that. If not they know who to refer you to.
Call your local sheriff's department for assistance. Let them know the dogs are growling. They could be rabid.
Hi Chase, we do not offer cremation services, but we do offer humane euthanasia. We are so sorry you are going through this process, however we are here to help. We are open 12–6 p.m. seven days a week. No appointment is necessary.
They have several locations for adoption and will do all possible to adopt out all animals.
The clinic does not offer nail trimming. But you can call about vaccines.
The clinic is open from 10am - Noon. Must be in line by noon.
Most of the time the dogs are fixed. But it's a first come first serve basis. If the dog is not fixed it is a fee but you get the fee back. Some times they have special rates. The time is 12pm to 5pm for adoption
I suggest calling. A breed like that wont last long. I believe the website displays available dogs as well.
Just take them to the Humane Society and they will take them from you and put them up for adoption
We actually have a Low-Cost Vaccine Clinic the second Saturday of every month, and it happens to be THIS Saturday, April 14! It's 10 a.m.–12 p.m. You can visit our website for pricing, and bring your puppy in for shots and schedule her spay while there! 2309 Chester Street Fort Worth, 76103. We'll see you there! And we'll do everything we can to help! Make sure to bring your puppy in a carrier. No appointment is necessary for the Vaccination Clinic!
You can just bring them in.
You need to talk with a vet. But he may need to be neutered if you don't want him marking his terroritory.
It's cheap at n texas animal coalition
Call for information
I don't know I there because I found a dog but call them and ask they are so helpful.
It's right there near the corner of Riverside and Just watch for it in that area , it is impossible to miss
Animal Control
You might want to check with them on which Saturday it is but they do discount shots on one Saturday a month from 10am to 12pm. But be prepared to stand in line.
They may euthanize him, but best option over suffering. They may help him.
They will take them, if brought to the shelter. The Humane Society is not able to actively trap and remove ferals. They lack the resources and funding to sustain such endeavors.
Call The Humane Society first you may be able to go online and you might be able to be helped to get your dog spayed and TCAP will do the spading as long as your dog is under 80 lb I just got my Jasmine Spade through TCAP and the Humane Society help pay for
Must sign consent form to have pet put down, must drop off pet
TCAP is a great place to to get it done, and their not expensive.
Yes they do. There are a few city shelters in the metroplex that do not though, watauga and haltom city were no kill several years ago. The animal must have been "found in that area" though ;). Hope this helps.
Walmart is probably the cheapest.
I just called on the phone and gave them the information about my dog and they set up an appointment and I took her on down. I think the appointment was for a week to 10 days after I talk to him on the phone.
I don't know if They do low cost vaccination try TCAP rabies is only $5.00
Our website is hsnt.org. Please visit daily as fees vary for adoptions. Price to adopt will be on each pet profile. Fees range from $15 to $285 (excluding equine and livestock).
Purebred dogs are usually $100+, sometimes cheaper if they're considered a mix or over a certain age. Puppies cost most than adult/senior dogs too, so if they had a bullmastiff pup if could cost anywhere to $150-$200+. They have a 1 year old Saint Bernard for adoption with a fee of $285, if that helps.
Take it hunting. Sorry I couldn't help myself. Good luck finding a solution.
No
Neutering and spaying can be arranged for twenty dollars or less at the clinic. You must have filled out an application and have proof of income. Get the application at 1840 E. Lancaster.
I would call and ask them. When I adopted my dog who was 18 months old it was just $75.00.
Animal control
They have a clinic you can call and make an appointment to. Don't just bring your dog to the main building seeking help though. They will turn you away down there.
No, unfortunately you can't track your chipped pet, Madera is right, it is meant as identification, not a tracking device. Hopefully your dog is ok and will turn up at the shelter or your home. I would start calling around to see if they were found yet.
Yes you can but I believe only Monday through Friday between 12 & 5.
For my male cat, it was about $40 for his neuter, but calling the facility would be your best and most accurate estimate.
Depends on which ones... Rabies is five and the other two are 10 and 8.
If you adopt through the Humane Society of North Texas, the neutering is included in the adoption fee. There is no additional cost for the surgery with HSNT
Yes just had my dog done and they do not use the ones that dissolve. You need to have them taken out.
You can find bunnies sometimes at the hsnt waggin tails adoption center in benbrook. On hwy 377. If not there then try russells feed and supply. They usually always have some.
No. They do not offer grooming services. The vet may trim nails if you're dog is sedated for a surgery though.
They are not animal control and don't usually pick up strays unless it's for a specific service. (Ex. TNR program or a planned rescue)
They do euthanasia for free to the public. If you don't have any plans for the body though it just gets thrown away afterwards. Just a heads up
There is a Humane Society on 1840 East Lancaster in Fort Worth Texas USA
