Got kicked out over snacks. Karen had the cops called to remove me .the workers didn't want to hear my side. This was the day before the 4th..I'm already homeless and u have me removed with nowhere to go with my child .Still waiting on a call back from upper management. I was there almost two months n never had a issue or write up like everyone else in there. Most of the staff liked me.

You have to stay there a certain amount of time to be able to get housing but its worth it if you stick to it. If you leave for a night ypu wont be allowed to continue in the program for getting ypur housing. So stick with it and you will get there.
They do allow service animals within reason and with approval by management. They will not allow pets inside the building without prior approval.
Call and ask then Go up there , u gotta stay there a certain amount of nights to get housing help ect. Also go talk to True Worth they have a lot of resources to help!
Beatrice K There's True Worth, which is part of PNS, also known as Presbatery Night Shelter. Don't let the name discourage you, tons of resources. There's, When We Love. Wonderful organization. There's First Street United Mission They have resources to help you Union Gospel Mission will help you with a suitcase. I'm speaking from experience Every one I listed, helped me majorly. I currently live in Salvation Army, In a program waiting for housing.
I have some men's clothing I am trying to donate. 32-38 in waist xl tops and coats.
It doesn't cost anything and if you're in one of the programs you can leave your things while you're working but if you're in just a overnight park you not allowed to leave your things
They don't do motel vouchers they allow women and children to stay overnight or long term in programs
They do help with renting assistance however you need to have a notice to vacant. Call them to get in touch about it.
At the end of your stay you'll get a $800 voucher for a new house or apartment
depends...if you want low cost in a risky area in homeless shelter....there are motel like where I stay for 650 a month or 270 a week...then the shelters are free....but depends where you stay...recommend ugm...then salvation army and last PNS...hope that helps you....God bless your ventures
$125-$150, @ PNS UP THE HILL FROM SALVATION ARMY, WILL ECCEPT DOGS AS WELL AS HANDICAPPED 2401 CYPRESS ST. FORT WORTH TX. 76102
The family would check into the shelter and ask for a diversion.
Yes. In fact more family focused than individual resources.
Any case worker that is working at that time. All u have to do is call and ask for one.
There are programs for men and women. The emergency shelter is for families only. ( Single mothers, single fathers, and also couples with children.
Yes
They were rude when I asked about the air conditioning , I’m grown I understand there’s rules everywhere you go and wasn’t asking for nobody to break the rules or bend the rules just why was it so hot and the lady had a attitude but later after lights out after emailing and posting about it they “had a change of heart” but thanks for your opinion
Yes !
I think they do
Pregnant or with children you get in first. Look them up and call them. They are very nice. They will take care of you. Union Gospel mission will also help you.
The salvation army store will have it's own phone number.then just call and ask how to apply for the job.
Salvation Army A.r.c. on 28thst does. They jave amens program there but you must have a job or looking for one onli overnighters are woman and children with husband
Men are not included in the Emergency Shelter. You can call and ask for a male case worker to get information on programs available for men.
There are too many variables for me to give you a yes or no answer. Best advice I can give is to go there and find out what their qualifications are and see if you qualify for ANY of their programs. It's been MY experience in the Salvation Army shelter in Dallas that they have multiple programs for people with disabilities, and if you are a veteran the Dallas Chapter is a great place to get a new start. DON'T BE SHY! STATE YOUR NEED. ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT HOW THEY CAN HELP FULFILL THAT NEED. DEVISE A PLAN, FOLLOW THE PLAN, ENJOY THE REWARD. PS. As a personal note stay positive and avoid negative situations and negative people. I pray you be blessed with a PMA positive mental attitude and you find the good in every situation.
I believe that they can direct you to the right resources for those services.
Meals are served on the weekends at the same time that they were served on the weekdays
It is optional, some people would like to give, even of their meager resources.
No u can't . gospel mission stops at 4:45. Try PNS. Probably not. U can go to Peter Smith and hang out. If not it's outside. Been there.
It's free and you need to find your own way to store your stuff. Shalom
You can only stay if you have children or if you have a family.
Yes and it at 530
Yes. Lunch is served starting at 12:30pm and supper is served starting at 5:30pm.
Until housing assistace comes available, depending on your situation. Assistance is done on a priority basis. Women with kids first, at risk people, etc. Being at SA does not guarantee you will get housing, it does guarantee a place to stay, food to eat, and the basics. Housing is a time absorbed process. Look to be there a minimum of one year.
Yes they do have weather nights accordingly to the weather but it is limited to the amount of space. There are also other shelter places whom help as well during the weather seasons and churches pitch in as well to help throughout the metroplex but those places too are limited as well
It is best to be there around 5-5:30 AM. Call down there for verification.
I found out anyone can eat with ID. They want the scan card to collect data for funding, but can in fact feed you without the card and an ID card in it's stead. The problem comes with people on power trips more concerned with bringing in funding than feeding the poor.
You can also just take the clothes to the area of 1350 East Lancaster. The people that live on the street will be more than grateful to rifeful through them very quickly.
You could try the Union Gospel Mission on East Lancaster Ave. Fort Worth, Texas 76103
I think so
Go to Broadway baptist church the take in family and single women until there is places in the salvation army .

Not that I know
They do not...the serve free lunch everyday..there are food pantries located through out Ft. Worth...mostly churches..Google food pantries for Tarrant County area..you should be able to locate assistance..
Probably for themselves
No, they dont. They are not very helpful with anything
