Good morning. We are an Open Door shelter, meaning we will take all pets in need. If you need them spayed/neutered, vaccinations, food, etc- any other resources to help keep your pets IN your home, we'd be happy to help. Our goal is to keep them with you, and would ask you do what you can to find homes for them. If this isn't an option, you won't need an appointment, you would simply come during business hours 12-6 daily. I hope this helps. Let us know if we can assist you!
Pits dont get adopted like other dogs because a lot of places dont accept them and some think they are dangerous. So the pound is not a good place to take them because either they will be euthanized or pit fighter will come in and adopt them to fight to the death usually. The Humane Society is very strict on who adopts them but if i were you. I would call PAWS and have them either help you find good homes for them or help you find pit bull rescue centers.
Find a non kill rescue. This shelter stays full and all dogs that go are always endanger of euthanization make a donation and find a rescue. Please and thank youm
Ashamed to take a pet and not plan on keeping it forever yes shelter takes but at same time you need to think about making a donation to this great group
