Small lots, no fire rings. But hey you're on Disney grounds. Beautiful place with many activities.
FGH Vlog
Very nice, a bit expensive 😊

Not our kind of camping but it's Disney. Packed in like sardines but somehow didn't quite feel like it. Our loop was pretty quiet at night. No real disturbances except the dog that was left in the camper across the street every morning. Honestly even on the day we just hung around the campground, it was fairly quiet....most people are at the parks. Level concrete pad to pull right in. It was tough getting our 29ft trailer in. Laundry, showers and bathrooms were clean. This campground is huge. The majority of people rent golf carts to get around. Golf carts everywhere. You cannot just drive to the pool or the restaurant and park your vehicle.. there is no place to park unless it's a golf cart. Shuttle service is available. To pay $120 per night to stay inside Disney property is an incredible deal. You still get to take advantage of the magic hours for Disney hotel guests, the free parking at all the parks should you decide to take your own vehicle, and access to all the shuttle services from the campground to go anywhere in Disney. If you are doing Disney on a budget, this is it....but I would not plan to tent during the hot months! 😉

We've often gotten the FL Resident discount at the Cabins at Ft Wilderness. There are a limited number available though and open up over time. It's best to call back often to check if the discount is available after booking at full price. Keep trying and calling is better than online.
Yes they even have a dog park in the campgrounds. Their rules are clean up, do not leave pets outside unattended, keep on lease, and do not let dogs bark disturbing other guest.
I believe you have to be a registered guest or know someone staying there. They check at the gate.
Im an authorized Disney TA. Yes you can purchase packages and cake for inroom surprises in cabins. If you are camping chat with a guest relations castmember online or call to verify. If you use a travel agent, which doesnt cost you anything extra to do, they can set everything up for you and be available for all your needs and help should problems arise. Its like a peraonal disney expert at no extra cost. Have fun!
Go on to Disney.com info is on there
Yes Disney is doggie friendly and even has a great kennel for when your at the park
Actually, we were just there and our campsite did not have a fire ring. There was a charcoal grill which all have. I didn't see any rings but I believe you can bring your own and I did see people with ground fires.
Nope
I'm in the area and need a ride to my house in winter park I'll pay you
Yes, everything from tents to large RVs are welcome..
Sure. They all have a sandy area to put a tent and you would have a ton of room to park a pop-up.
During the holidays Disney is busy everywhere between January February March when school's out pick back up again
Yes fort wilderness has special magic hours you'll have to check what days you get early access or extra magic hours. And yes they also have magic bands, and Yes Disney's magical Express does drop off and pick up at fort wilderness. So Yes to all 3 of your questions.
Yes, there are 2. One even has a water slide.
Discount at the stores, yes, but no discount for reservations.
Yes you can! Even Amazon! We had our hammock shipped 2 day prime (;
Lots of busses are needed to get to the theme parks. Enjoy your next trip!!
No, buses only go to the Disney parks and resorts. You must drive or taxi to Universal.
Yes, there are buses that make round trips from Ft Wilderness to all of the Disney World theme parks and Disney Springs.
If you book an RV site, most of them will accommodate a tent as well as the RV. I don't think you can do a tent with the cabin rentals though.
That will depend on your site, the time of year, and length of stay. They range from around $74 (basic tent site) to $100+ (premium sites). The cabins are just over $300 per night, average. On my last visit, we stayed 11 nights and paid $84 (base/pre tax and fees) for our camper/tent site.
Yes you can. I have done this before and still utilized the Disney transportation to visit other resorts and Disney Springs.
I have seen Halloween decorations go up early October.
No club option, not DVC either.
You can arrive at any time but we didn’t see any arrivals at the campground after 10pm.
You can! You let the front desk know the cabin number.
Nope!
To much. Not worth it. You can only fish from one dock in a small pond.
Do you have the My Disney Experience app? You can download it and manage your reservation and your whole trip-- making dining reservations, planning your day with Genie, or making ride reservations with Genie+.
I believe it's 10 but anything goes
They have smaller sites that are made for parking a car and setting up a tent, they have bathrooms with showers close by also, so if you can keep the tent cool inside you are in business. I believe each site has power hook up so it's up to you to improvise.
Usually they're okay with visitors, just last weekend we stopped by just to walk around after lunch at Whispering Canyon and they let us on through. However, I know that at peak times they may turn you away if you aren't staying there.
Yes, you can watch the MK fireworks from the beach but they are not currently doing fireworks.
Yes
Also I recommend asking for a shaded area as well. You have to leave your phone number and they will reach out to you when a spot available. Masks are required while in your area, but not required while in the pool.
Yes. I was there the week of Feb. 14th and they were open but be advised I saw many kids playing close together.
Back in only, and if you have a big rig you should get a premium site. Some of the loops are a doozy. Lots of trees too, FYI. But we have our 46ft in every time. It's just been very close a time or two.
Yep!
Bus, golf cart, bikes or walk!
I don't sorry. We rented a cabin there. I would call Disney and see what that process is like. If u need service while on the campgrounds I'm sure Disney will have some rules.
they will only allow up to 6 per reservation for the cabins. there is only one type of cabin layout. the handicap cabin is larger but holds only 6.
You can reserve upto 30 days
As of yesterday they were
Yes there are alot of variables. You should contact Disney directly for more timely info.
They will not respond here. Either call Disney Reservations or check on their website or call a Disney vacation travel agent
Around 60 bucks. Highly recommend getting one. Cuts out alot of bus waiting.
Yes. There were some in the Loop with two services (water and electricity)
We always get in with no problems Jan and Feb.
It's pretty pricey from what I remember somewhere around $200 night
Disney is always hiring but maybe not for what you want to do. Check the website and send in a resume.
You can go on the Go Disney website. They have the price for the campsites there along with the availability
Your renting a trailer and want maid service? That would depend on the renty and how long of a stay. I ren't out my trailer there but would not allow a 3rd party. It could nullify your contract for insurance. If staying more then a week we refresh Linens and towels and do a cleaning.
No. You would have to rent from an outside company.
It depends on the site you choose, and when you want to go. The rates change all the time. Supply and Demand I guess. It's not cheap, but it sure is nice
Yes...very nice well maintained ones!
Yes
I would say the short answer here is yes. The grounds are extremely clean. Their comfort stations ( bathroom and showers) are clean and very well maintained thought the day. I feel the tent camping comfort stations take a heavier beating the the others and it is still "Disney" clean. Dining is the same as all other hotels the only thing to remember is it's a camp ground so you might find thing close a bit earlier and open a bit earlier then you are used too but I have not really found that to be an issue the many times I have stayed. My only complaint on dining is the sit down restaurant is buffet only and is definitely not worth the cost. There is your regular Disney transportation to get you around the grounds and if you would like they offer golf carts for rental but you need to book those early. I have gone with and with out a golf cart and my family really enjoys the golf cart aspect to go to the different parks, pools, and events with in the grounds. I hope this helps!
Yes, you can book now for memorial day
yes and no
When a gator attacked and killed a little boy... Sept 2017
Availability would be on Disney's website and I would Google Disney park guides about best times for Ft. Wilderness
There are electrical hookups on each and every site. No need for a generator at all
The convenience stores that are scattered through the fort have coffee.
Never made it to the tennis courts, sorry.
From first-hand experience...as soon as it's likely to hit with time to pack up & escape safely. BUT, if hurricane imminent ANYWHERE you live or travel to reach WDW, can cancel reservations with no penalties. AND, if don't wish to cancel, take risk campground will be closed & travel in anyway, Fort closes, Disney GREAT at outting you up in other on-site accommodations to fit your party. In 2017 husband and I arrived Sunday for Fort resv's, closed, put up in All-Star sports with other perks (camper food to concierge & unlimited access to fridge/freezer, extra FPs, etc.) Plus park big 5th wheel & tow vehicle in hotel parking lot with plenty of room - no disconnect! Disney does it RIGHT! All that said, Disney will be in touch days before Florida danger imminent.
If I remember correctly it's like 60 bucks or so a night and $19 a day for parking.
https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/resorts/campsites-at-fort-wilderness-resort/?CMP=OKC-wdw_lodging_gmap_14 Follow the link, click on availability. Select your reservation dates and select The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort.
Cheaper than a hotel room but you better bring your own food
I'm not sure. Would be disgusting if they didnt. If it wasn't for the military they wouldn't be there. Your gonna have to call sorry
Call the Disney hotline only way
Disney offers Military Rates on a resort rotation. They always offer it but not always at the same resort. I've stayed at the Fort Wilderness Cabins at 20% off.
I'm not sure, as I usually help my husband. Its worth asking if you really need someone. They are very accommodating.
If you're bringing in your own golf cart no. However there are rules and regulations you have to follow. -Guests need to have a driver's license. -Move over for both bus and cars -Do not drive on the grass through campsites or forbidden areas. -Obey all traffic laws. Now if you'd like to rent one from the Fort, it will be around 70.00 a day
Besides your basic discounts on food, and merch its not too often during the year where your annual pass will get you a decent discount off the cabin prices.
Sometimes on the cabins. Almost never on the campsites.
Yes, the RV sites have full hook ups. Also, just some info, the shower/bathrooms are some of the best I've seen at any RV campground. These can be useful especially when multiple people need to get ready early in the morning to go to the parks.
Yes he is right. Decide where and what you want to stay in on the fort. The canins run in the mid low $400s. You can rent campers and/or tents off property if you don't have them -lots range $60 into the low $500s. You may want to rent a golf cart to get around which are $60/day and you can rent cheaper off property as well. Go to disneyworld.com to estimate your trip cost.
If you have to sit down on the dock to board our watercraft than that is a major safety issue. So yes we would have to refer you to other modes of transportation.
There is a storage lot area. It is in front by the settlement check in area. It is "first come" parking area, but I have never seen it full.
Not 100% sure but highly doubt there is an RV mechanic or RV repair service provided by Fort Wilderness.
There is no discounts for seniors specifically but disney sometimes has discounts on the sites and packages. Minimum is 1 night.
http://www.traveltrailerrent.com/disneys-fort-wilderness-rental-packages.html or try www.rvshare.com
Yes for tent don't know rest, call them best ,on line room information best to,i had grate time there with wife going back in may
Yes they will set up mobile homes for you to rent during your stay. They will go out of their way and accommodate you by setting up the camper for you upon arrival . They also have little cabins there to rent.
Hello, They have facilities for motorhome vehicles, not just cottages. call them directly for price information.
You have to bring your own tent. There are companies you can rent travel trailers (caravans) from who will deliver them to the campground and set them up for you. At the end of your reservation they come and get them.
They also do a movie night out doors by the water. All Disney movies.
No but they have a lot where you can park your RV
12 months is as far in advance as they will let you do a reservation.
Just google map fort wilderness and it will take you to the front gate.
Absolutely yes
Yes. There are 2 pools
Most discounts and promotions do not apply to a stay at the campsites. The merch stores still honor APH and DVC.
By "Enter" do you mean check out the sites or actually camp? Ask at reception if you may examine sites. Campground prices are on the website. These are premium paced sites, close, but not crowded. Internal transportation is via rented or personal golf carts, or buses.
Check the online park rules, it seems nothing can be attached to trees.
Discount at the stores, yes, but no discount for reservations.
If what you mean by seasonal camping and year round rates being like private campground resorts where you pay one set price annually to have your camper parked there with acces to stay as you please anytime May - October for example then no they do not offer that.
Free parking but your friend will have to come and pick you up.
11:00, but seeing answers above, I will be asking for a later check out.
There is a website called disboards with a camping section that is filled with information and tips about the fort wilderness campground. Definitely check it out if you are seriously considering it
Don't rely on buses. Get a golf cart or sit around miserable waiting on buses that go 10 mph...
There are rarely ever any discounts for the campground because they stay pretty full all the time.
LPT: save your bands and order different colors on next visit. You can mix and match colors between the bracelets and the inserts/brains.
You do not get a discount at resorts. Only for park tickets.
Each site comes equipped with a charcoal grill. On the website you can find approved devices for having campfires. You have to supply one of those metal Camp pits on your own, otherwise there is a large campfire every night with Chip and Dale behind the Meadow Outpost.
All off the Full Hook Up, Preferred, and Premium sites have sewage dump. I have never stayed in a tent/pop-up sites to confirm. U would assume they do not though.
I believe the entire campground is pet friendly to an extent
Lots of info on the website. Lots are motorhome specific, some bigger than others
Its 11 but there is about 30 min of grace period afterward if no other guests are at the campsite by then.
From the all ears site....... There are two heated outdoor swimming pools available for FW resort guests only. The main pool is located near the Meadow Trading Post in the center of the campground and the second smaller pool is located with the Wilderness Cabins, between loops 2500 and 2700, which is more near the resort entrance. Lounge chairs. and tables are provided. The pools are open 24 hours, but the lifeguard hours vary seasonally
From one site they do say.....Pool hours are at least 9AM to 9 PM, extending to as much as 8 AM to 12 AM during busy times.
Disney does not offer a senior discount at Fort Wilderness.
No, you can take Disney transportation to the campground to enjoy the activities. One day, coming back from one of the parks, we met some people on the bus who were doing that for the dinner show. None of the activities we have done required any kind of check-in or verification that you are staying there, but there may be some that do.
Yes. Around $60 for one day and about $55/ day for multiple days. I believe it has changed to much cheaper for 5 days or more but not sure. Website has that info.
It depends on the season but when we went Nov 12 - 18 it was around $60-$70
Magic Kingdom Resort Area The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort Prices $59.00
You'll need to check. This summer due to the drought no campfires were allowed. Even the campfire sing-along went without the campfire
Yes! The Fort Wilderness Sites app is available at least in Android Play Store. It is a very basic app but anyway it clearly shows all the loops and every single site in the park area with pictures so you can have a general idea of how they are.
Yes, there a few restaurants and dining options by Pioneer hall including the mickeys backyard bar b q
I think you need to go to their website or call them to make reservations. I doubt they keep tabs on Google Maps questions.
I believe one can request a preference, but it's not guaranteed
Check online or contact Disney directly to check for availability.
