I surrendered 2 feral kittens there last week and the staff there was very nice and helpful.

Kill shelters kill. All of the NY boroughs should be shut down. The employees lie and tell you they will find a home for your dog/cat, but in reality many of them are euthanized not long after entering the shelters because they become sick with kennel cough and the shelters use that excuse to kill them. It's abhorrent. They also kill dogs if they show any sign of aggression or if the medical needs are too expensive. Shameful that they're having a gala to raise money (minimum ticket price $500) that will go directly into the pockets of the heartless people running these disgusting shelters.

They suck we had to argue with them to take the animal they didn't want to help us they said that the cats can live in the streets

We adopted our first two cats from ACC in Manhattan. We recently moved from the Bronx to Brooklyn, and decided to support this ACC location when adopting, even though it's out of our way. I'll start by saying that the location is clean, animals seem well kept, and the staff we interacted with when we adopted our most recent cat was helpful. However- I'm not sure if it's a bigger issue with all their locations right now because of COVID or something, but our newest cat was not spayed before being sent home with us AND they could not schedule a date until over a month later. (Both of our other cats were fixed BEFORE coming home with us for surgery recovery.) This is fine in theory because both our other cats are fixed, but was a nightmare because she started peeing on things to mark them and relieve some of her stress while being in heat. We also were not informed of her behavioral issues and food aggression, which we would have appreciated knowing beforehand. When we did finally get to drop her off before her spay surgery, we were told we could only come between 5 & 6 to pick her up. I don't get out of work until 5, but we tried to make it work. We hit traffic and got to the ACC around 6:10 and were told that after driving almost an hour, we'd have to come back tomorrow. I had tried to call multiple times to let them know, and could not get through. Really frustrating & unpleasant overall experience, definitely won't be adopting from this location again.

I think u can commenter, they would need yr parents signature because yr a miner. But thank God 4 people like you who have a heart. Animals do feel. They smell emotion. Rather than feel it. To animals are a great gift. Yr gonna grow to be a great person, just to wanna do that. U will learn so much about humanity. Good luck baby.!!!! U won't ever regrets it. No job u paid for will match the free one u wanna volenter for.!😃
They will take any and all
If it's respiratory, it's contagious to another cat, and a kitten might be too weak to recover. I've seen them die one after another. If very young, prob need liquid med. and be fed food and liquids with eyedropper. Good luck.
Yes
They do provide shelter for animals while waiting to be adopted.
Search dogs call them for information.
Majority of cats know what to do with the litter pan. In the wild big cats cover their mess, so they naturally do. Dogs not so much. Never adopted from them but like people each is different and some come with baggage. It can be environmentally or how they were treated previously, mean people, mean cat. I've encountered mean or standoffish cats but once you show that you're not the evil human they come around but building trust takes time and patience. I'm sure there is a fee. Caring for the animals costs money.
If you do not have .money they will take the animal.
On Google it says they're open from Noon to 5pm. I was just there yesterday to adopt a pet. If they close atv5 I suggest getting there by 3 or 330. They can cut the line off early if they need to.
Yes absolutely you can bring her to the ACC of Brooklyn if it's close to your location.
I called the phone number on their website and told me to just bring the animal down. The girl gave me her name if there were any problems, which there were none. Extremely professional and a sense of true caring. Definitely a far cry when I was a kid when they used to be called kill shelter
Hi there! I volunteer at the shelter and would suggest you check out the website for the available cats for adoption but also come to the shelter during business hours to speak to the staff and meet the cats that are available.
Yes they do they open go get you a kitty
U can go to NYCACC.org online. There will be a list n brief bio of all adorable pets. If u find 1 or several u r interested n, fill out the adoption application online n they will get back to u. I brought my rescue baby home within 1 week of starting my search.
VCA animal hospital. First appointment free.
Yes. You can complete the application, have a time to acquaint yourself with the kitty in less than 2 hours. If your kitty is scheduled to be spayed/neutered, you can pick them up the next day. They give you vet referrals, some free for booster shots, and spay/neuter when the kitten is old enough to be fixed (you must agree to fix the animal). The fee for one kitten age 6 months and under is $125.00, $150.00 if you adopt two. Kitties 7 months to 4 years is $75.00, 5 years and over is $25.00. I believe if you adopt a senior cat it's free. Consider one that's a young adult or older since they are less rambunctious, and likely better trained, and in most need of a furever loving home.
No, but they do provide them via mobile vet--call for the schedule and locations. Also, they can give you info and referrals to low cost vet's in your area.
Call first because sometimes their full
I believe adoption of kittens is $75.00, and you have to complete an application. Two kittens cost $100.00. They allow you "play time" to see if the kitty is right for you. Consider adopting an adult cat, as they are in most need, and can make wonderful companions while already trained.
I lot of people will donate them to a childrens museum 😊or aquarium 😊
Can you send a picture? I'm looking for a dog for my granddaughter. What is it?
We always welcome volunteers! Please check out our website for more information: https://www.nycacc.org/get-involved/volunteer
I don't know of events specifically but there are always adorable fur babies available for adoption. You can take a look at whose waiting on their website and set up a time to come meet them & see if you're a match.
What kind of dog are you looking for.? I’m trying to give my puggle away
Hey Nichelle! I think you would have to give her for adoption for them to treat her. But I'm sure you can call or go in and ask where you can take to be treated.
Call and then get there asap
What a shame, I called the center to ask if you can return it, I'm sorry, I know it is difficult because one becomes fond of them
Call the Brooklyn adoption center
I need one
Hey I can take care of them
ACC on 2336 Linden Blvd. They will do it 4 u, 4 a reasonable price. U can also look up the animal mobile center, they work 4 ASPCA. They will give U a reasonable price
Please check with the ASPCA Also post pictures of her around your area with your phone number.
Check the website or visit the shelter and bring the children with you
Yes
They get families, not sure if they have them now, but call or stop by
Yes, but it is only for puppies.
The baby squirrel I found was a rescue. I suggest you call them first and ask what to do...for instance, I should have picked up the squirrel with a glove not to leave my scent.
You don’t need to schedule appointment ahead of arrival. Just go there and they’ll call you in when they’re available
Yes they were accepting all types of animals. I was there last on 4/20/22.
Yes, check out careers section on the website!
You can reach to the ASPCA and they will assist or refer you to an agency that can.
Yes, they are
They have Vet's on site. They provide medical care & end of life services😓
No .I don't have a dog now.i put mines to sleep..I want a dog
The new adoption fee is 125.00
You gave to call the shelter. I don't work there.
Can you trap her and get her spayed?
Each animal gets some play time with a handler but a lot don't enjoy being in a shelter so they're stressed and not too friendly. I adopted mine from the Manhattan shelter and she developed a dislike for other dogs in the shelter so I'm having to train that behavior out but she's a great dog. The people at NYCACC love animals and treat them very well.
Yes they do. We just adopted last week at the Brooklyn center. Nice staff but you have to make an appointment.
I would think not
Yes.. depending on age. The younger cost more. It's still low low price. Everything is done by donation so the pay helps the animals that's there.
Yes they do. And yes they spayed or neutered if u get one that just got in then it won't be but they still schedule the surgery. The location in bk don't have anymore as of rite now. Just for a Lil bit tho. The other boros I don't know
You can take your cat to one of the animal shelters for continued care. Also check on their website for other options... https://www.nycacc.org
Yes
Yes0
No additional applications but there r papers to sign. When u get there u will meet the pet ur interested in. If at that point u want to take ur pet home, u will show ur ID. They'll go thru as much of the pet history as they have as well as any medical issues or special instructions. U sign the papers n take ur pet home. Some pets r released on a foster basis at first so make sure ur clear.
Im not sure but phone service was quick and reliable
You need to check there website changes constantly I didn't see any the day I went. If you see something you'd be interested in you need to apply also need to make an appointment to adopt
No. To your answer. Every bill clinic has days where they offer discounts on shots .call your vet to find out.1 day a month
They're doing things Different because of Covid - 19 no visiting.
Yes they do have small and medium-sized dogs there. You have to fill out an adoption application and they verify certain info on your app. If all goes well, they do a meet/greet with the dog so you have several minutes, supervised, with him/her to see if the match is a good one. Depending on the readiness of the dog's paperwork, you can possibly take the dog home the same day. The fee depends on the age of thr animal. If I remember correctly, 0-6 months is $75 and above 6mos is $150, if the fees haven't changed. If you don't have the money at the time, they only hold the pet for a very short time, like 24hrs and then put the dog back up for adoption. Their hours are limited because of COVID-19 and you have to make an appointment to see the dogs.
Call and ask them, I have no idea.
You will have to call their office or fill out the form on their website.
Yes you can
Its took only a day.
Many *many* years ago, I interviewed to work at ACC. It went extremely well and I was pretty excited at the prospect of working there - until they asked me if I'd have a problem with their euthanizing animals.... I replied "no," but couldn't shake those words outta my brain... Needless to say, I declined the job. So- unless they've changed their policy- ACC is a kill shelter.
Give them a call, you can surrender animals there.
Hi - please visit our website to learn more about our Community Kids program! We have volunteers under 18 who come into the shelter to read to the animals, help with outreach events, and talk to people about animal welfare in NYC.
They are not neuter there but I can help what Borough do you live in please email me I have a place where I get my cat done
Fees were waived because of overcrowding, call and see if that's still in effect. Otherwise, ACC adoption fees are as follows: Dogs and Puppies: 6 months and under: $250.00 7 months and over: $75.00 Small dogs (under 20 lbs.), 7 months and over: $150.00
What does the acc do with rabbits that do not get adopted
You would have to pay something.
Yes, you can.
It's not free, $ 200 dogs $ 100 cats
Yes they do the cost is free on a Saturday morning with appointment first come first see . they do cats and dogs drop off and pick up in the afternoon great service
I would think you can probably find out on their website if they have one.
I am a huge puppy lover. And I would love to buy one from acc
Yes or stray
Yes, you can walk in with your pet
Yes they do
Not sure, but they do ask for a donation....
And
I believe ita around $80
Yes... just call or go there.
Animal Care Centers 2336 Linden Blvd, Bklyn
Instagram or Facebook
What is a teddy bear mix? Is the baby still available??
Try to get health insurance and you will be ok
No, but there is pet insurance you can buy.
ACC is the only open admission shelter in NYC. Summer is our busiest time of year as we have an influx of cats and kittens. Please visit our website to find out more information about surrendering your pet: https://www.nycacc.org/services/surrender
I agree. Call first..
no
Take him to the nearest ASPCA and inform them that you found him, it's surrendering a stray. Good luck
If you need any kind of help please give your LOCATION first than what aided need help will arrive in minutes or anyone can direct you where to find help so the word is location
How does the dog look
No
Yes, absolutely. They are always looking for caring volunteers and the dogs, cats, and rabbits will shower you with love. Best wishes.
I would call ACC and discuss your options. You could also contact ASPCA. Depending on your financial situation, there may be help with care. Also, depending on where you live, there are some very good vets who could give you some options as well. Best wishes for you and healing for your dog.
Yes, they take them, and rabbits, too.
Yes they do you have to make an appointment for them to do it
So sorry. But, who was negligent? What is a transporter? I can't help you, if I don't understand what's happened. So sorry about "Don". If there was abuse/neglect, report the perpetrator to the police.
Or kill it as they are a higth killer shelther
Go in person and check out the kittens they have u just take more than one.
Adoption fees depend on the age, size, and type of animal. Call them to be sure.
You should call and ask
Yes you can drop him off to any center
I agree. Take him to the vet and report the abuser. Also, we just adopted a pit from ACC and he had some hair loss. There is definitely a stress component. It's been two weeks and his hair is coming back. Good wishes to you and your new pet.
Call and tell him you've lost your cat. If someone gives it back, they will tell you and they will contact you.
You can bring her in
I've not adopted from the Animal Center, instead from the ASPCA, at no cost when they did animal adoption campaigns, However, they would ask for a donation
Yes they do the TNR and kitten care ,just call them and they'll give all the info Good luck😊🐶🐈
Vaccinations are not free, they do not vaccinate there. Pricing for all animals in the shelter goes by age. If they were to have a small breed it would only be 75 if it were older, not a puppy.
Am looking for a puppy
Yes, spay or neuter by appointment. I understand they don't perform this surgery on the premises, but done in the morning, pick up your pet in the evening.
I paid what I could afford at time, they accepted what I gave. I later went back and gave a donation. I really like this facility and will donate t any time I can. I did the same as you, I cared for my sick dog as long as I could, I loved her very much, she was only 7 1/2 yrs. Good luck, I am sure you'll make the right decision.
Sadly, the ACC does euthanize for medical and behavioral reasons. They do try to place such animals in their New hope Foster Program, but sadly, some do get put down. They ARE a kill shelter unlike North Shore Animal League.
Yes and they will do all they can to get him adopted.or sent to a no kill shelter .good luck
They can get you information on low cost vet care as they want you to keep your pets if you can. Ultimately if you surrender a sick pet, you release all responsibility & ACC decides if the pet is safe/available for readoption.
I think you should call or email them to find out. They will get back to in 1-2 days.
Yes u get the pet the same day after the paper work is all done. Ur pet goes to his or her forever home
they have puppies and adult dogs for adoption you can download the ACC app on your phone and see what dogs they have available
Yes. We do provide end of life services for the public. We know it can be so difficult and we are there to provide comfort to you and your pet. I would recommend calling to schedule the appointment. This makes sure it is the easiest for you. Please call 212-788-4000. We are here for you!
They do have kittens from time to time but mostly early years (2-3) and older. You can download their app and see what's available
I have a cat and a dog, sorry.
Petco will trim nails I believe $10- Animal Care and Control maybe able to give you local numbers for vet care or grooming care but they endorse None of those numbers. They give these out as a FYI.
I believe the price varies by weight, age etc. But there are times when I went there and I saw deals for under $30 to adopt a dog
How much ? What bree? Any pic? We are looking for a puppy for our granddaughter as a gift.
They have a lot of a dogs the last time I was there pitbull and one rockweller
I live near by and I believe they do..they take all volunteers
Yes you can google the number
yes
Identification and just something with your address
Better yet call 311 and they will transfer u to them..
Yes I believe they will take him
I think it's free...I can get back to you this evening..my daughter works there...I think it's just a lot of paperwork
Take it to the wild bird fund! In manhattan! I brought one in :) they take different animals! Good luck
You may access their website.
Yes, they will do everything they can to find them a home. Even if your cats are a few years older.
Adoptions are free. U ve a fee that will be refunded. Around 100.00
They will send him to another shelter for exotics and he'll probably be fine. They take all animals but only keep cats, dogs and rabbits in their shelters. Other animals go to other shelters/rescue groups after intake.
It depends. I'm pretty sure there's some kind of minimal fee that they charge
Animals are only euthanized if they're extremely sick or extremely aggressive.
Or if u have Medicaid
I am sorry for your loss. I have not adopted so i do not know process but there are alot of animals there that need a home. This is a good start. Good luck
Cats sleep allot but if he's losing weight it's probably due to old age
It depends on the clearance of the pet.
Come in and fill out an application and if there is a $25 fee that's all it is to it
They have plenty from 4 months on up to 10 years old
Yes
The train To the uclet stop then You take a bus 13 about 4 stops and you arrive
Talk to your neighbors first and tell them how to correct the situation and if they do not call the Center or ASPCA which is directly involved with animal enforcement.
Why can't you keep him? What kind of breed is a dog?
They're really nice and they take any animals that you can keep in maintain anymore just give them a call and they give you a pointment and they move really fast
If you ever had another pet like a dog and to show that you had vaccinations for that dog everybody has a veterinarian that he has a veterinarian and like I said my previous reviews some places like if you have a house with a yard so they can roam around the be free but I had good luck with this animal shelter I highly recommend
A few hours and or mins, not long at all
It depends on the age. The younger they are, the more costly
How about you put down rat poisoning instead trying to put a cat life at risk
I don't work.there. but they always welcome volunteers. Good for internship
Hi Yes they'll take her I m not sure if they charge a fee to drop off you may new to call before you go to verify Sorry you can't care for her any more So happy you are not putting her in the street !!!!
Pups are rare. You have to call. Then act fast
I don't know if aspca handles emergency care more like . Let hospital I took mine's to one when he got hit by a car they didn't help me I had to go to a animal hospital I didn't have the money . They waved the after
They are always looking for volunteers.
I was there the other day and saw 3 small dogs, you just have to go every week and try your luck!
You could bring her in. I think she would get adopted quickly.
Aspca hospital
Two very nice people Alexis and Nicky put it in a box and Nicky took it to an animal care center in Manhattan somewhere... I tried calling differnt places before I posted my question and I received no response....
Can I please ask the name of the dog or can you send me a picture of it
3 things they will do. Put it up for adoption, send it to a rescue or it will be euthanized
THANKS BUT DO U KNOW OF ANY CARE UNITS I LIVE IN THE 12207-8 AREA OF BROOKLYN
Call 311 wildlife preservation may help the bird
You don't pay for Kittens. You do an adoption process
I have no idea you will have to call them and ask them that, sorry I couldn't help you
The only way they will hold the animals if you turn them in, Your probably going to have to say you found them, that's free..or simply tell them you are unable to care for them.. They will charge a fee for that. Tell your husband where they are. Shelter will hold the animals for a week (I think),enough time for the owners to come get them.
Hey Cynthia, drop them off at your earliest convenience to the center. They will find a new home for them.
Sorry to hear about your son, call the Animal Care Center or go there and see if your dog is there best of luck
Yes they will take her in.
Call animal control or just Google local animal control numbers
You go to animal center of your choice.
Do u still have her
It all depends what's in Stock take a ride over their and see
Yes
Yes
Can you post a pic? Might be interested in adopting.
You can bring it in to the Animal Care Center or you can call them and they will pickup the kitten.
Hey Summer thank you for responding. I'm guessing tho that it's hit or miss as far as parking is concerned.
Depending on the situation... find a good home for it if you can't get thur post a ad on the web
I'll take her.
Yes.
Their a charge ... go on the website of call for the fee
Hi. There are older and small kittens. I adopted one like 2 months ago and it has just 3 months. I wanted for my kids and they were so helpful on the info about the cat and its behavior with kids. Also there is a small room to see how it respond with you alone and you can see if you like the cat. The fee depends if is for older or small cat. The fee is cheaper if is for older and I payed 110 for my 3 months cat because they have to put the vaccines. That is all that I pay. Good luck!
I absolutely disagree. Yes, you can trap feral cat and with a lot of patience and time she will turn around. I have trapped hundred of cats, some ferals and strays after TNR couldn't go back to their original trapping spot. Instead we were able to keep feral cat initially in the trap, then cage for two or theee weeks( just to get used to indoor new surroundings). With time cats became friendly... maybe not a lap cats, but friendly enough. Please, trap this kitty! Google local rescue groups, or go to Acc and take trap from them. Cat will be checked there, vetted and spayed as well.Don't leave this cat behind!
Call 311 they can help you with what you need.
They don't neutered there. You have to call and see when one of their trucks are in your area. Not sure of the price.
Yes you can
Call Animal Care and they will pick them up or you could bring them in.
Belinda you are completely wrong! Russian blue IS a breed. It is not a Persian —which you spelled wrong— how can you work when you don’t know enough? And your answer about caregiving is also wrong. Google Russian blue and learn something.
They had lots of dogs ,but I can't say 4 sure I went into vat section, but call and ask
It's not free Margie. But not expensive at all.
Hey Brandi, I'm sure they would have records of all vaccinations
No it a shelter, they take In street animals. They provide care only for those. Don't no of any vets who provide free health care un fortunatly.many people are in this situation and there's nowhere, that I no of that provides help. Try advertising this on social media also maybe a vet or a person knows where you can get help or a goodhearted doc will volunteer. I hope so!! In the mean time get him to drink liquids in any form, chicken or beef broth, water, milk, tuna oil .anything liquid. He s dyhydrating!!!!Cost At Least 600, But Not From Shelter. They take in animals on death row. 125, spayed or neutered already with. Shots
If you're asking if you can give him to the Animal Care Center, yes you can
They ask me on pets I adopted they live out of state now,it is good to ask in person ok?
Dogs, cats, rabbits
That is a pest, not a pet. Call 311
Yes cant get through
They neutet
Fell out of favor with that center 3 weeks ago. Will not make donations.
I suppose you can report it so that it can be taken away.
They have vets there
If you plan to adopt, save an animal from the NYC ACC. We did and are going for our walk right now!
Who are you going to sue.?
Dont know for sure. Dogs are75 and cats are cheaper
Can you get to dogs before asking to get them, atleast ask dog owners what is happening with dogs, must you interupt dogs and owner
Yes
At nearest pet rescue that does not kill kittens cats, can you ask a friend to take care lil cat, even petco takes kittens cats with medical records
Yes you have to surrender t h e cat
Yes! We arrived at 6:45 pm and were home by 8pm with our new dog, Diesel. He had already been neutered, had a chip, vaccines and health check, etc.. All health related paperwork, food, collar, licence, a voucher for a free follow-up Vet visit was included. Save a Life, Adopt a Pet!
Put an ad on Craigs list pets, and Craigs list lost and found..There are also sites for lost, and found birds you can post on..It's been 3 months..I hope you found your birds by now..If not post
That I'm not sure about. Don't see why not though.
I adopted 2 , and there fine. But one is really shy
Have you found a home yet? I may be interested. How old, gender and spayed/neutered?
You can surrender cat but there's a fee to do so. Not sure how much
They cant check her at the aspca then does any one know of a vet that has good prices
You canadopt cats kittens dogs& puppies just have all the necessary id and adoption fee
If you go when the mobile spay/neuter van is there and have proof that you're on Medicaid or public assistance then they will do the spay/neuter for free plus vaccines will also be done that day for free. The only down side is they are very busy and they start taking in pets at 7am but you have to get there at like 5:30 or 6am otherwise you won't get taken that day.
Only for the pet you are adopting. Not for putside pets.
The only problem is they're a kill shelter try calling Last Hope Rescue they can help
Jose deJesus, agreed. It would be cruel to leave any dog out there in this weather. Linda, you should call your police precinct to arrange pickup.
This is not a kill shelter. They’ll place the dog/cat whatever it is at a different ACCNYC that has room
You cantake home the same day if it's not spayed or neutered they make you leave a $100 deposit you then get spaying or neutering done show the shelter the proof of having pet fixed and they will give you back the $100. Please consider adopting a pretty who is a year old our older they're already housebroken, trained, and you don't have to deal with the teething stage where they wreck a lot of things in the home that usuallygets then sent back to the shelter because people don't think of these issues. Plus everyone wants puppies adults don't always get adopted in their time limit and end up dead
Ask counter person for your cat health, if not there, ask to recommend 1
In the adoption application they do ask what your living situation is, whether you rent or own and if dogs are allowed where you live. As far as them actually calling where you live to find out, I highly doubt it but you never know
Have a boarding cats vet office, also grooming places have boarding, can be 50 to 100 for 1 overnite, have you asked petsmart, near you
Yes u can
You have to keep going in if you want those breeds in particular but they do have others there that are ready for a new home go check them out you won't be disappointed. 😎👍
Also if you rent instead of own the home you need to let them talk to the landlord so they can ask if pets are allowed
I have a dog that is sick the owner are death
Go see doctor they may prescribe meds before baby gets worse
Go to your local ASPCA and inquire within and they'll put you on to someone that can assist you as far as low prices okay.
Please be advised that I never worked for the shelter..I was a customer. Call up or go online to see if they are hiring... I AM A CUSTOMER!!!!!
Please be advised I do not work with any animal place. I was just a visitor there and I'm constantly asked questions which I cannot answer. I DO NOT WORK THERE.......
I am looking to adopt a 1 to 2 year old poodle male small dog as I live an apartment and recentwidowed.
Yes you can use your benefit card plus a Small donation.
You should call the various shelters and post some pics of your missing cat and see if you can get some response. We out here are the general public not the animal shelter. Good luck. 😎👍
The cat will be in danger eventually & we will also as we also will eventually be in danger as well!
Check the website, it's on there
There is a great effort to keep animals in place. This includes counseling. Your dog may have physical problems which make him incontinent. Before you give him up, which would traumatize both of you, call the shelter yo find out about services, veterinary and behavioral.
Bring your cat to a vetetinarian as soon as possible. Call them and tell them what is happening It could be something very serious.
You must be licensed here as a vet to give shots. See a vet.
I believe $75 check with website or call they are very pleasant people to speak with.
Check their website. Google nycacc and pick location brooklyn or manhattan or staten island.
If you have Medicaid its a small fee, like a donation.
Go to there website or visit the shelter speak with someone. You must qualify to adopt.
Yes
It is a process not just go and leave pet, is that each place you select has a process not able just take your pet not all places would, many questions forms, and understanding
Where can you go in Brooklyn for what? The address to ACC Brooklyn is 2336 Linden Boulevard. It is right after the overpass in the service lane
do u have any photos of the dogs u have up for adoptions
You have to pay the adoption fee
You have to fill out a fairly short application and the fee depends on the animal, and should be listed on their website. I paid a $75 adoption fee for a 1-2 yr old Chihuahua mix, so it's less expensive than most shelters or fostering organizations.
Go to the ACC, bring ID, names and numbers od references. There may be a fee involved.
