Horrible. I was told I could take a house mate for my cat I adopted the day before... and then ths staff decided to pick and choose who I could take when I showed interest in one of the originals that were part of the cats original colony. I persisted and was told "no" bc the cat supposedly hissed at a few other cats. They'd rather keep them in cages then give them good homes. Liz was a wonderful worker and I want to commend her for her help, I liked her so much in fact I left a donation the day before. After dealing with the rest of the staff the next day, I would not recommend dealing with these individuals at all. Which is a shame bc the idea is to find homes for cats. I live in a large house with a huge screened in space and the cats would have been fine together! What a shame!

I'm not really sure but when I was thinking of adopting a cat they said it has to get neutered and I could pick it up the next day.
Go to the website I'm sure there is info.
If it is not open they will take it.
Cats are survivors don't give him a death sentence unless that's a no-kill shelter leave him be
Dont give it to a kill shelter give it to Secondchancerescue. They will find a good loving home for ur fur baby
I have a 14 year old dog who has a large mass and isn’t doing well I have called most of the vets on the island and I cannot afford their prices for euthanasia, can you please tell me if you guys can help me put my dog at peace, thank god she isn’t suffering at the moment but I don’t want her to suffer, i was told once she starts moaning or panting fast then she is in pain I want to avoid that and let her go painfree
CALL FIRST
Call their number, the phone menu has an option for that. I hope you and your cat are reunited soon! 🤞
You can go to nycacc.app and browse the available pets. If you see one you like, apply to foster or adopt it. They currently do not accept applications for specific animals so your application will be rejected BUT you will then get an email to make an appointment to come in to browse the available animals. Unfortunately, they don't guarantee that the animal you applied for will still be available when you come in.

ACC does offer that service. The fee is 125.00. You can find more info here: nycacc.org/services/end-of-life
I honestly don't know
You posted that you just got a cat from there and are looking for a playmate after you surrendered your other cat? Animals are not disposable!
Sometimes they do. But sometimes they're adopted, so you have to call if you're looking for that. They had a guinea pig family recently
You may have to be 21 or older
Yes, but the kittens may or may not be there at any particular time. People bring animals there, and these animals are available for adoption for a certain period of time. If no one brought kittens today, they may not have them today. So before going, it is best to call them and inquire. But they do take kittens in, I myself brought in 2 or 3 over a period of time.
Yes you can bring them to ACC. They will send to a rescue group.
Does the aspca provide medical services for cats that may have bone cancer?
ASPCA, also Police departments have an animal detective on staff.
You can bring any animal any time. No appointments for dropoffs
Yes
You would have to call the number on their website.
Yes
Yes they do
Yes you fill out paperwork and pay. If the cat is neuter you can take it home if not they will let you know when you can
They have a few cats to choose from. Just go and take a look
I just dropped off 3 kittens, but i never adapted one
No sorry, call 311
Do. We pay snything. To get. A cat. Or kitten
Yes
No, this is the city shelter. Try the aspca or low cost clinics
I'm not really sure but I would guess the vet or an animal hospital or you can call 311 and maybe they can give you information
But after a certain amount of time you send them off to possible kill shelters? Correct?
No just walk in
Not every pet there is house trained, but they all are required to have shots for adoption.
You can find out the price at the website or by calling.
You would probably have to go in person and ask because they don't pick up the phone and even if you leave a message, they don't call you back.
All they ever have there are pitbulls. If you are looking for a smaller breed of dog, you will have to go to the one either in Manhattan or Brooklyn.
Try vetco, mobile vets, or Google search low cost vets, animal shelters do not offer veterinary services.
How can we help
I'm not sure if it's free. But they may offer spay at a discounted price. Best to call and ask. Good question though.
No i have two beautiful kittens from Staten Island Animal rescue, they are awesome and the kittens come from foster homes not at a shelter.
