It's hard to find a young puppy in t he shelter, they go very quickly, if you realy want one on time for Christmas I advise you to buy one, don't worry about it being your first time being a dog owner, you will learn and experience it together as a family
A dog should never ever be a Christmas gift and as a first time dog owner you should really do a lot of research before you get a dog, it's a lifelong commitment it's not a toy I have one dog that is 21 years old
