Very nice place and people, but selection is sadly limited 🤷🏻♂️
Ryan Breen
The staff and volunteers at the center could not have been nicer. Alexander (formally known as Aries Loki) is my first cat and everyone provided me with the knowledge in order to feel confident in becoming a new pet parent. Alex is now my best friend. I told them a little bit about myself and they knew which cat I was going to pick. Today, it is clear that Alex and I belong together.

Nice welcoming staff. Very clean too.
Maria Ferrer
By bad luck every time I go there's a lot of emergencies and I have to wait a long time, but they are very nice and polite
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
Yes a beautiful black and white female husky with one blue eye and one brown eye
We just lost our dog 🐶.. and we think we are ready to adopt a hairy small dog .. we are kind of allergic but is okay 👍
I still want puppy plz contact me
I have a dog that needs moral support that I can’t give n he will be there for u as well
I have 2dogs that need emergency fostering is this still feasible for you.. The owner has been evicted and they need a home
For a free dog you'll be spending that same amount or more , you'll have to get the dog checked , fixed, etc.your better off adopting a dog at ACC where all that stuff is done and you don't have to pay the amount you would at a clinic if someone gave you a "free" dog
Sry someone already adopted her
I have 2 kittens, brothers, 4 months old if anyone wants them. Willing to drop off..
ACC??? A pitbull?? They will put her down. They are NOT A BOARDING FACILITY.
Call, email or walk-in to get all the info u need to know how to volunteer. Staff is friendly and helpful, and I know they could use the extra help!
GO TO THE SMALL ANIMAL SHELTER ON 110 ST.IN HARLEM BETWEEN 2ND AND 3RD AVE THEY CARRY SMALL PUPS THERE OK.
The ACC has some kittens available as it is kitten season but you have to make an appointment to be seen by the adoption coordinators. You can look on thier website at available animals. Hope this helps
U can take her to a animal shealter...or call an thy will pick her up an for free bcuz she is a stray...
Michelle is right
https://www.nycacc.org/services/surrender
I cant adopt or foster him
I believe if you have Medicaid you pay $5. Call ASPCA first to make sure.
No they do not have overnight service this is a city shelter for lost and abondoned animals. Try a cat sitter. 🙃
To my knowledge, the ACC may euthanize (humanely) an animal, but only as a last resort. Please reach out to them directly for more guidance on this issue. The folks at ACC are compassionate and very sensitive about animal care and rescue. Good luck and God bless.
I'm sorry but honestly having some random person take your dog is not a responsible thing to do either. If you want to give him up to the shelter then just make an appointment with ACC its free when you make an appointment and they will take him in. If you can not wait its a 50.00 fee. Or even try another dog rehoming group on facebook. But to randomly put your dog in harms way by not vetting the person is not the way to go. Best of Luck
ACC takes in homeless pets - very rare to find small breed puppies here. Adoption fees vary by age and are listed on the website. We don't offer financing but it's not very expensive.
You can check out our animals at one website nycacc.org or do a walk-in during open hours 12-5 every day.
You can go to the website or call to make an appointment
Any dog is trainable, no matter size/age. It’s UP TO the PERSON to be consistent with upkeep of the dog’s training. There is a tendency for guardians of small dogs who either do not train them, or ignore their habits because they are small. Example: Barking all the time, lunging at other dogs. Also, a lot of the times, not picking up after them. Because they are small..?? Please consider these factors. A dog is a lot of work, care, and love. Puppies NEED even more training if you want to “mold” them so to speak.
👋 The first thing I did was go online to the site, you'll fill out some info about yourself, and from there you'll make an appointment to adopt. There's a deposit for neutering that you'll get back in a couple of weeks.
I did not pay that much. I adopted a 7 month old. Already spayed by ACC with a surgical herna repair aleeady done. Fee was $75. Plus they give you a voucher for free medical if animal get cat croup and a bag of cat food. They might charge more for kittens. Call them directly to find out
do you have any kittens at 326 110th st and h=If so how much are they?
Gotta wait until they our
I believe you can with parental consent. Please call them and ask
Yes I agree with Cariann, ACC is a SHELTER. Most of the dogs will need training of some sort and an adjustment period. The whole "hypoallergenic" thing is just marketing. All breeds shed, just different amounts. Please do your research before picking out a dog.
You can open up his ears and go in and remove the pus with Q tips and normal saline on the tip
You can go in to see the animals
No huskies in sight
326 e 110th st,new York, NY it's very simple look at pet copy information and show workers who will let you need to obtain pet.
Was it micro chiped ? Go there.
They do. The best option is to check online and see where they will be next time. They have a lot of events around Manhattan and Bronx. They are coming to Queens in November
In general it takes about 3 days till about 3 weeks to adopt the dog there are various stages
Yes they do..
If u go when the trucks are out is free. Ask for the spay and neuter mobile.
Get there early and go every day...there are small.dogs but they go quickly
First go to website and fill in online form to surrender dog, have you thought of a no kill shelter is safer for your pet, most surrender dogs are killed if not adopted within 7 days of arrival be certain first you take and other would adopt to acc center, please
Whatever you do don't give it to ACC. It will be dead in a few days if nobody adopts her
1. Go on the bus 2. Go to the store 3. Get some Benadryl, if all fails do this step again. How does anyone expect to believe you "happen to get allergies all of a sudden" You promised to take care of those cats, now put your grown woman undies on and take care of them". Bringing to a shelter will not be the same as a home. Unless your dying don't put excuses unto why you can't take care of your cats If you need help with food and litter ACC can help you. Also the chances of them being killed are high. I wouldn't want that on hands. Go on Facebook tons of groups for rehoming too. Do not look for the easy way out. It's not fair to them!
No they do not, and how is it abondoned if your asking questions? Take the cat and give it a home, it's much better than having it at a shelter.
This is a shelter.. they don't "sell" if you look on their website you can see what's available for adoption 🙂
Call them and ask. They’re very good at keeping up with phone calls!!
Can you explain what you mean by "update"?
Brenda the shelter can help you and Lulu...and you don't need to worry about the fees!! I recently had to put my elderly cat down and money was the lest of the centers concern. They will work with you on whatever you can or cannot afford. They were amazingly gracious to me and my baby at a very fragile time! You will not be disappointed!
Let me just say this, not many folks want a pit. the likelihood of it being euthanized is very high. They maybe a no kill shelter but it doesn't mean they don't put down down dogs in others. I.e: give them other to other organizations to handle it. The conditions of that shelter for dogs are horrendous and disgusting!!! Do me a favor and look up ways to take care of your dog. in other ways. They have boarding places and dogs sitters to take care of him while your away. If you paid for shots than you can pay to have him doggie sat. I'm not trying to shame you but help find a solution to your problem. if you don't believe me about the conditions they are left in, by all means go there and take a look your self. Best of luck.
Go to ACC adoption website. And browse through dog section. If you like someone click “adopt” then fill out the form. Or you can also call the animal shelter with animal name and ID. They’ll give you how to proceed with adoption
Yes However, you need an appointment. Go online and fill out the paper work, if not it's $50.00 for same day surrender.
You should call their hotline and ask any inquiries that Are of concern to you
You should just surrender them to ACC before you get a hording case put against you
First off sorry ,it's always sad to see things like this happen. GIVE ACC a call first see if your friend should know or send anything before there arrival .
They DO have Guinea Pigs! just be prepared for a visit to a VET soon after.
Please check our website nycacc.org for a list of dogs available for adoption and click the "adopt me" button to submit an application :)
You should make an appointment. I don't think they are taking walk-ins right now because of Omicron. You can also see all the available animals on their website.
Yes they do.
Yes any donation helps
Hi there friend. I believe they still are living by "COVID rules" and You can't like before just Come and choose some one there. Better check web sites. Now is kinda easies. Shelter has pictures all animals and they info online. You dont need breack your heart and see them there Sheppard is great chose. But you know, 2 years agoe I came there for some cat... Now I have one of the best person, my bro Haku) Shar-pey mix bulterier.... The best dog in the world) If you are going to check shelters, just listen your heart) Good luck!
I took a sick kitten and they did not give me help and less to sterilize
You can go on their site and search for the pet you want, then the site with provide you with a number to contact and discuss when you would like to first met the pet in person. After that they will ask you if you are sure before paying and taking the pet to their new home
Why don't you try to groom Coke every other day do the dander doesn't trigger your sisters allergies .even try to keep coke only in your room just to take extra precautions .
if the dog is part of your life/family to keep the remembrance,In my opinion i would have him/her Cremated. I did it when my Feline passed I had her cremated an presently she's in the living room on a glass table with a Candle and a picture of her in a crystal tray😢🙏😇
So nice of you i am unsure cats and dogs yes not sure about birds you may want to give them a call much luck
Yes but you won't be able to adopt on the same day (idk why there policy) you'll have to schedule the adoption
They're not a store or a breeder. The animals they have there are the ones found or surrendered at a particular point in time.
Yes adopted there recently. Cannot walk in. All visits of any kind must be by appointment. Call and make one. Cannot schedule online
Yes and you may have to do a virtual meeting before actually meeting the dog in person.
Can't walk in the building for anything without calling first.
I WANT TO ADOPT TWO PUPPIES FOR MY DAUGHTER THE MENTABLE MIND I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO BUY IT PLEASE LET ME KNOW OF ANY ADOPTION POSSIBILITIES THANK YOU
ACC
I DO NOT know I don't have animals. 🤔😮😪 🇩🇴🇺🇸🇪🇸🇦🇪🇩🇪 I like you all without distinction.
Yes they can take that
Visit the adoption center
Not sure about that but you can try. Just give them a call.
Post on Facebook groups, people always looking for puppies and kittens
Westside veterinary center on West 83St. Bet bway & Amsterdam. Call first
Go the their website and fill out an application.
No, you can't do it there. However, if you have a Medicaid card, and you look for an animal care truck on wheels, they do it for free.
Check their website for available dogs. They don't often have puppies.
I'm sure they can give you the information you need. Just give them a call. They're super friendly
Trust me. The procedure is not bad. Make sure you have your id and a way to pay for the adoption fee. I went to the Manhattan one. But there are cats and dogs that need loving. Lots of it.
You can foster for a few weeks.
Yes. Go to the webpage or call and they will set up your donation. If you call its option 7 for donations.
They're very informative, will steer you in the right direction. I thought they care for pets, mine was sick, but there at ACC, is only for people that cant care for their pets that will surrender them there to ACC. ASPCA is a gr8t choice to adopt. ASPCA vets are dedicated to saving pets lives. Like with everything now, because of the pandemic, you must call to make appointment to adopt, or the care of a sick pet.
I don't think you'd have. Problem turning your dog in
Sorry the have an adoption of which I don't know
Call the center. Not sure if they do adoptions not sure how that is there but depends on what they have. Hope you'll fine one. Best of luck!!
You can call them
They do. You need to make an appointment
You need to go to the acc website to see who they have for adoption. Then you need to apply and make an appointment because of the pandemic, you can't just show up and browse.
Hi! This is just the google page! Check out the website to see what dogs need adoption! https://www.nycacc.org/adopt/adoption-search
Go to their site and find a dog, apply online, and they will coordinate! https://nycacc.app/#/
They have a Fb page under the same name with pics of kittens and cats that need homes. I could be wrong, but I believe the adoption fee is $175 and that covers all shots, spay/ neuter, microchip etc. Check their Fb page, maybe they can help with more info
They have a Facebook page and an Instagram page with all the cats that are currently up for adoption. I am fostering a sweet 2 year old black and white cat I named Domino now. She's just one of a few waiting for their forever home 😊
They do accept animal surrenders but call them to confirm. Also google Little Wanderers they might be able ti set up an adoption. You can also post on PetFinders.
Call them first to make sure.
PLEASE IF ANYBODY HAVE A CAT THAT HAVE KITTENS I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE ONE A HOME I WANT ONE
Kittens come and go real fast you'll have to check the site everyday to see who is available
Hi - please fill out the owner surrender form on our website and our admissions team will follow up with you!
Animal Care & Control or ASPCA. Don't buy...adopt.
Hi! We have fewer rabbits for adoption than usual at this time but are still adopting them out. All of our adoptions are being processed remotely at this time. You can see the rabbits for adoption on our website www.nycacc.org or on our app.
$75.00...but sometimes they waive the fee. Ask them about it.
You can see the dogs available on our site, and send questions: adopt @ nycacc.org (without space).
No
Yes, you can. But call ahead before doing so.
No. Try ASPCA Hospital for health needs and shots. All puppies adopted from 110th Street are already given their shots before you adopt them. EAST 110th St. Is for adoption, putting down near end life pets, and rescue. By the way, very kind, efficient and informational staff.
There have a lot great. Dog seen a tall german shepherd one time you may get lucky
I got in contact with them though they facebook page. They replied with a direct number to call they main office.
Dogs like huskies, german shepherds, french bulldogs, etc. Get adopted very quickly.
My niece has a big pit bull great dog guards the family and kids he now 12 years old a big teddy bear
How are you planning on taking care of a puppy with no money? What about food? What if something happens and you need to take it to the vet?
This is a kill shelter. Please research online for no-kill groups like Kitty Kind.
I took my Dog to the animal hospital because I knew it was time for him to pass.. They did a great job in caring for Christian...and I.
Call the animal control center and they will tell u what to do.the address is 326 E 110th St new York ,ny google the number.
I dont believe so they found a home for my cat. They try their best to get your animal healthy and fi d them a home
Post it on craigslist or Facebook marketplace
Yes they have kittens and cats a year older
You have to call but yes they usually do! Let me know if you get one. I know another.

No they euthanize
All shots included with microchip, also neutered, and she is house trained, playful, very loving, and she is 1 years old. Prices are reasonable. My cat is black/white.
All I can say if that's your beloved family pet you better find a way to keep it with the family
Try to post it on craigslist or any pet shop there might take her to good home
Please don't go to a pet store! There are plenty of dogs looking for a loving home at ACC! Save a life. ADOPT ❤️
They take hamsters!
But it's only 75 dollars
You should call and ask, they aren't very responsive on here...
No. The dogs were left at my mother's by my brother my mother cannot handle the dogs with her health.
Call to find out!
No it is closed to observe Labor Day. Will be open tomorrow at 10 am.
Google Yorkie rescues in your area. Or I would visit the ASPCA like 2 or 3xs a week, looking for one. The staff will get to know you and most likely give you a heads up on one, that's what I would do.
Yes. Check the adoptions page or go to one of the locations
Hello, do you still have cats and kittens available? I am interested.
if it has a microchip you can contact the chip company and report your dog missing you can also contact any local or surrounding shelters and let them know to keep a look out for your missing dog.
You can go and see them whenever you want however I believe you need to put in an adoption application to have an interaction. Just to be sure though you can call and ask.
I would call them first but I'm sure they would take it they are very helpful there
Also a counselor will work with you to identify the dogs who are good with cats and they can give you tips on introducing the dog and cats. I will tell you from experience that there always is an adjustment period. Good wishes.
no they dont.. but if you show your Medicaid you can get shots and neuter for a donation they do however have low cost vet services at several locations throughout nyc.if you call them up they can guide you to the services that you need.
they provide shots and free spay and neuter at any nyc mobile clinic there is one in every borough of nyc. it is based on donations so you can show your public assistance card and give a donation and they will vaccinate and neuter your dog.
They will take him for you and if in the future you want him back you may be able to get him back
You need to call them directly before you make the trip. They don't hold on to the animals. First come, first serve! But, they do have many other dogs!
Dogs and Puppies: 6 months and under: $250.00 7 months and over: $75.00 Small dogs (under 20 lbs.), 7 months and over: $150.00 Cats and Kittens: 6 months and under: $125 7 months to 4 years: $75 Cats 5 years and over: $25 Two Kittens: $150 Rabbits: All ages $50.00 Bonded pair $75.00
Take her to the vet. If she is suffering and in pain, be merciful and humanely euthanize her.
Found a stray kitten can keep it already have five cats please help
I think u can drop off pets there also try aspca. Call them first though
I think that there's no cost if any it's minimal
Yes they do if not adopted. You can check the humain society or aspca those are no kill and maybe they can help with your cat.
Yes. Try North Shore Animal League is a no-kill shelter. Also, Bide-A-Wee in Manhattan. Some older cats get lucky at the ACC, but they do put them down. You should try listing privately on Adopt-A-Pet. But, I don't see what's so hard about caring for a kitty so make an effort. A pet should be a lifelong commitment or not at all.
Not sure but you can call them to find out
I don't know. But are you sure that it's medically necessary? Have you seen a Vet first?
Animal care centers offer surrendering a pet and adoption services. They have locations in brooklyn, manhattan & staten island
I really don't know about volunteering, but I don't see why not. Best to contact them directly.
U go online or directly there
They might, I KNOW they have bunnies. Your best bet is to take a trip. :)
You gotta pay for the dogs I don't have any idea how much does it cost to adopt.
Walk thr distance. Check out who they have. The doggies come and go quickly.
Place flyers around your neighborhood An animal that old has little chance in a shelter
No Spanish sorry
Fix the doggy first, worry about money later. Money comes and goes. Dog has one life to live!
They will probably recommend you to the aspca or something . But give them a call .wont hurt to find out
Yes
YES
Probably.
You can always ask about foster parents and let them know your situation
Ranges from 50 to 75
Definitely. You can come by and check them out anytime.
You can return the cat to the shelter without a huge hassle. Just go to their website and schedule a meeting to surrender the pet. Also keep in mind there is a surrender fee.
Dogs 6 months and under are $ 250. Dogs that are 7 months old are $ 75. Small dogs that are 7 months old (also less than 20 pounds) cost $ 150. Cats that are 6 months and under cost $ 125. Cats 7 months to 4 years old cost $ 75. Cats 5 years and older cost $ 25. Two kittens is $ 150. Rabbit of all ages is $ 50 and two are $ 75. Please remember that they do not have animals for you, they are the first to arrive and the first service. Any other information can go to their website: www.nycacc.org. Good luck finding your furry baby.
You're speaking to the one who wrote the reviews I'll be glad to take a Yorkie I already have a shitzu they can get along together
Just walk in
You should call or email them directly to work that out.
You just better off putting posters in the area with her with a picture of the dog and your number to call number to you can go and see and ask people if there's cameras in the area you could go and ask them to get the video from the cameras and you can estimate the proximally where your dog was it's always cameras in a location somewhere
Make sure he vaccinated and he is good with other dogs.
Try to find a no kill shelter... I live in Houston, Texas and I went to mACC to adopt a 95lbs Doberman Shepherd who may not have found a home and gotten the needle. Hope you can find a way to hold on to your pet, but you can ask other rescues for advice on help on facebook in the area.
Yes, please call or visit ACC. They offer assistance
Yes
Im intrested
No you don't. You can reside in any state. The shelter also works with other shelters from other states in case you are looking for some place closer
Drop him off
Wouldn't it be easier to simply call the shelter directly??
I am sure you brought it to the shelter, but it would have been better to bring it to a small animal rescue and not a shelter like that. There are rescues specifically all around us that take guinea pigs, mice, rats, etc.
Call 311
Adult dogs are $75 and puppies varies between $150/$200.
They did not ask a fee.
Check their website. They list all their available animals including age.
Well, posting here won't get you the answer. Animal Care Centers is a shelter. Finding a pure breed puppy isn't that easy, but you can always search for puppy's in need of a forever home at: NYCACC.ORG
I don't know you can go on their website and call them to ask them.best of luck
Wow!!! I have no idea!!! But i adopted one years ago and the change me $350 for the dog!
You mean, if the kittens at their adoption events have been seen/treated by a vet? Yes. All pets have been seen by vets, spayed/neutered, and in many cases, they've been socialized and littered trained by foster parents and staff.
Try no kill shelter like Bide a wee home
Yes, they have all kinds of bunnies. Not sure what the adoption fees are but go online and check for special summer events where fees are waived. They have a large variety of beautiful bunnies.
Dont surrender your dog to them, they will kill him/her Give it to a friend or family member
Go to acc. Or take a looj at Craigslist fir someone who may be trying to unload a dog. Good luck.
They do not have any medical staff on location so it limits the types of animals they can accept
I can't answer that question you would have to call them or go on their website or email them.
Earlier this week I adopted a 3 year old cat that was already neutered. $75
I'd contact the ACC directly for help.
No. You can contact the humane society. They can help.
You're a horrible person. I hope you're put down and am willing to pay for it.
I believe its under $100 but they'll help u explore saving the cat if they can.
I think it's about $150 for the adoption and make sure that you can have a dog in your apartment or house. Be prepared to make a commitment for the duration of the animals life. Good luck.
At the moment, I am not sure what can be done on the same day but if it is good to go where they are very kind
Shelter on 110 street but they do have other locations there one in bk
Yes but very minimal, I paid $8.50 Which is far less than if you were to go to a breeder and you're doing a much better thing by doing a rescue, good luck.
Take them to a vet, not the shelter.
Petco does it at low cost but your dog needs to be up to date on all her shots
Sorry I have no idea of what your talk in about
a relative
18 yrs and older and you got apply in person
Sometimes they ship to the ASPCA to spay or neuter. They then get brought back to acc. Sometimes, within days, they end up on the kill list
That sucks...however your random statement does NOTHING to further getting your dog back. Go find your dog. Get off your phone
Matthew is correct, except small dogs will get adopted. The larger ones get put down.
hello I m looking to adopt a small dog or a puppy for my granddaughtet
Acc is a kill shelter stop surrendering your pets...they are beings and should not just be disguarded when you don’t care for them any more...you people make me sick work harder to find a better place for you pet before bringing them here...especially pits they are on borrowed time soon as you bring them through those doors.
I would definitely recommend calling 311. I have called 3-1-1 myself on several occasions, once for a loose raccoon and they followed up each time and every time
Animal Care center will take it and put it down. Perhaps if you listed it on Craigslist you might find someone who wants an iguana an will care for it.
Go to ASPCA HOSPITAL... If you can provide proof of low income they will pay for it.
You can but perhaps shouldn't...it is a kill shelter...so if you are so inclined perhaps you could attempt to find its owner...or as a thought you may have just been given a Xmas gift in the form of a new addition to your family
Call them
You have days after you adopt the dog. To bring it back to the adoption place. Try the home remedies until you get an appointment. Lemon and Honey heat it up, not too hot. Put it in a syringe and give it to the dog a couple of times a day. It will help him or her
They have all ages just depends on what animals are there when you go. Stop in and see.
No, ACC does not accept Medicaid. You can get free vet care with Medicaid at the ASPCA mobile vet clinic.
That happen to puppy that died out of womb, what I did went to vet and cremated was very hard to let go ,and I could of kept ashes, and decided not to even have boxes to keep in ,nurses told me sent to other area and ,I never asked again
Well im currently.not from ny but i heard they do give.discounts
They usually put dog's up for adoption after a three to six day period
You can but they may euthanize him if nobody adopts him at a certain time so it's better to be home alone than dead
Your best bet is to go in person and ask for assistance from a supervisor.
It is for pets have a donation for them to keep them alive and healthy if very few dollars are givin each month from donations is reason to death
