Yes I agree with Cariann, ACC is a SHELTER. Most of the dogs will need training of some sort and an adjustment period. The whole "hypoallergenic" thing is just marketing. All breeds shed, just different amounts. Please do your research before picking out a dog.

There really isn't a such thing as a hypoallergenic dog, but some breeds are less prone to cause allergies. ACC is a shelter, and a lot of the times they don't know the actual breed of the animals when they're surrendered and are very limited with information on the animals. I adopted a dog from them in September, it was a challenge at first, but thankfully he has settled in well. Keep in mind, it's a lot of work getting a rescue dog to adapt to a new home, especially with 3 children, it might be an even bigger challenge. For large dogs I believe they charge a $75 fee, and small dogs $150. Good luck on your dog search, hope it works out well for you!
