I recently adopted a 7-month old lab mix (Dottie!) from Social Tees and had a great experience! Social Tees takes great care of their dogs to ensure they are matching them with the right home. It was clear to me that they really want to set both you and the dog up for success. The team was responsive to all my questions, both by email and in-person when I met my dog. The team was super knowledgeable and answered every question I had from recommendations on training to vaccinations and how to acclimate my new pup to my home. I would recommend Social Tees to anyone looking to adopt or foster!

These people are crazy. They have dozens of dogs and cats listed on their website who will probably never find a good home because of how extraneous their adoption process is. I spent over an hour filling out their adoption form which included insane and borderline invasive questions such as "when do you plan to have a child/get pregnant" and "have you spoken with a professional trainer about how to acclimate a dog with a new baby" as well as "what do you plan to do if you and your partner get divorced." I understand vetting applicants but these questions were a little loony. They also asked for a letter from our employer to prove we work from home. OK... I was actually willing to do all of it because I fell in love with the dog on their site... then they REJECT my application off the bat because I am 23. I own a home, make over 160k combined income and my fiance is 29. I think it is ridiculous to reject applicants due to a single statistic that the looneytoon boss of this place looked up on Wikipedia without looking at the whole person. A dog lost a good home today because of these nut jobs. You'd be better off going to a breeder.

I'm a huge fan of Social Tees! I was following Social Tees through their social media account for a long time. I found my forever dog through their site and they were very thorough to make sure that I was ready to take on that responsibility. For anyone looking to rescue a dog, I would highly recommend Social Tees!

The team at social tees is AMAZING. I wasn't sure if i was ready to commit to adopting a dog so I talked with social tees about becoming a foster parent. They were super helpful along the way. we did a zoom meeting for first time fosters to ask questions, get info and prepare for taking care of our fosters. Going to the pick up site at 630 am was really a special moment, you see the hard work the social tees team puts in and all the dogs they are helping to save. It was here I met my foster Patrick, a jack Russell terrier/Chihuahua mix. He was overwhelmed by his trip from Tennessee and the new city he was dropped off in, but over time he warmed up and yep, we became best friends. Only a few days after taking care of him I reached out to Social Tees to adopt him. Again, they were excellent, thorough, and helpful with the process. Even being a foster, they still made sure to properly review my application. This shows how much they care about finding great homes for their dogs. I cant thank social tees enough for matching me up with Patrick and the work the put in with every dog they save.

Hi! He was removed from the organization, we are no longer in contact. :)
They do adoption and foster kill shelter animals
What i did was connect to their social media sites on Instagram and twitter and Facebook and whenever they needed dog pickups from the airport or the vet appointments i responded back . You can also email them and give them your info
Hi Micaela, You have to be an approved adopter to schedule a meeting with a dog, since all dogs are fostered in a volunteer's home. They also have an adoption event tonight at a bar called "Mailroom" in Manhattan if you want to meet a puppy. I'm also fostering a Border Collie puppy, if that's what you're interested in.
Then complete an application that takes a while to be reviewed but afterwards it's quick and easy to get your desired puppy once they approve your application
They take a while to return a response there...maybe try going on person
You would have to contact. They're always looking for volunteer foster families. I know you have to be at least 18 to be eligible to foster.
It's also run entirely by volunteers and they don't have a land line. So they sometimes reach out using their personal cell phones. They obviously don't want to do that without an approved application
Take it to the police station. There is one right next door
Not sure this works. This place takes animals from shelters and tries to find homes for them. There is a broad range of pets you can adopt
