I then took this medium advice and called ext 127 and got one miss bailey.who was very pleasant and advice ME on the status of my husband and my SELF passport.i received my passport yesterday still awaiting my husband. After waiting for 5 months. I called pica in jamaica.i called Washington dc I even went on social media calling out the workers of New York consulate.

If you are still minded to drive, there are a couple parking garages nearby but they tend to be expensive.

The job of the jamaican consulate is to protect the interest of jamaican citizens. Not americans. Being at the consulate is like being in 🇯🇲 its foreign soil in a foreign country. This literally applies to damn near every country that has an embassy or a consular in a foreign state territory or country

I believe it is best you come in. For if you mail the documents and something is wrong, then you would have to wait a long time to find that out (once it's mailed back to you) and then you would have to either correct the problem and mail it back or physically come in again.

Yes the service is reliable, if you have your passport and purchase your ticket, then you should not have a problem because you are using your right legal documents to travel. Once your passport is expire you should be ok. I strongly believe if it is expired that is where you have an issue.

I really think they are trying their best, but to sometimes it is never the best, what happen is that they, provide a nine AM service to 12 oclock afternoon service, it could be longer to help more people, but we dont not know their capacity in terms of expenses, so we have to work with them just like any other business and their process time availability. The address is 767 3rd Ave New york NY 10017, they will do your passport picture because they like it done professional, also take your old passport , take 110 us dollars in only ten dollars, they have not ATM machine, go and ask questions how you can get to your next level. Also your birth paper, they will assist you gladly.

You can request an emergency travel certificate. You mustcomplete the renewal process and present your travel itinerary, airline ticket, etc. It will cost $110 for renewal and $60 for the travel certificate.

I have heard that people can get passport card by using the number on their new passport reciept, but I learned that they the Consulate General of Jamaica have to give you the consent to do so, so why not go into them and let they direct you how to go about the matter, makes it easier for you. I really didnt have to call anyone to talk to them because I got mine on time so I really didnt have to call. I think its best to provide your receipt and go into them and speak to them. I'm not sure if their policy changed. I know you can print the passport form online. However, the application process was done in person. Once their processed your application in person then you would normally pay the fee. The payment method is only cash. At least at the time when I went. Calling them to find out would be a good way to go before making a trip out there.

If you had a transaction done there, they usually issue a receipt. For example if you applied for a passport and paid the processing fee, they would give you a receipt. You can use the receipt as proof of having been there.

Anywhere from 3 to 4 weeks..sometimes a little earlier..i had an emergency and ended up calling the consulate in Jamaica to ensure my passport was being processed. The consulate says 4 to 6 weeks., however it is usually faster.

Some one was asking how can the file for their daughter. I think they will have to go into the office early as nine , they close at twelve and ask them the information about filling and she will be able to get all the information they need, that is the only information i can give at this time.
