IKEA is a Scandinavian chain store that designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture, kitchen appliances and home accessories and other goods and home services. Started in Sweden in 1943 by 17-year-old Ingvar Kamprad, IKEA has been the world's largest furniture retailer. The brand used by the group is an acronym that consists of the founder's initials. IKEA at Renton, WA 98057 is a big store and we enjoyed the shopping there with our family. Their food court is very big and the Swedish meat balls are very tasty. The parking space is huge. The location is good and nice.

Ikea is the place to do household and furniture shopping with an always busy food court that you never want to miss going to when you're there. Just expect long wait standing in line because of lots of people. They have nice showrooms to give you design ideas of living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. They even have packages so you can easily set up your living spaces. It is like going inside a maze just make sure you follow the arrow lights. Be ready to spend half or even you whole day in this place because there are so many interesting things in here. I posted so much pictures from the food court because I loved the food.

It's best to come to IKEA on weekday evenings around 6 or 7 pm. It is not crowded and you can see it smoothly and shop. Please keep a 6F distance in the store and still require the mask. The IKEA store is large, so it's a good exercise, All the displays are helpful and good especially I called showrooms 2F, love those ideas for interiors. I think it's better to make a shopping list if possible. Otherwise, you may be distracted by other things and spend time on extra things. Am I the only one who sometimes feels like a maze inside the store...? If you have something you want, you can also make a shortcut, so don't overlook the sign. After all, I like IKEA and walk around the store for quite a long time. Since the start of the pandemics, the product shelves may be empty, and the products may be sold out. In such a case, you should check out online. The price of things is relatively reasonable and I think the design is good, but some things are difficult to assemble and do not last very long. However, all the ways to show the inside of the IKEA store are helpful.

One of the best places to indulge yourself in Swedish culture. The meatballs, the minimally designed Nordic furniture, the free pencils, the long lines, and random Knick knacks you never knew you needed. All for an accessible and humble price. I recommend coming here at least once in your life, even if you don’t buy anything.

I've found it easier to just show up.
Just like trying to reach Amazon, good luck. IKEA customer service is terrible at this store
https://ikea-status.dong.st The link here constantly keeps track of which stores in North America are open for click and collect. Sometimes it will show none and sometimes it will show a small handful. Each is only open for about 30 minutes to an hour at a time so keep a close eye on it. Also, you can add your email and they will contact you when they are open for scheduling. Move quickly when you see it open and make sure to send the guy who created the software a coffee. I ordered this morning based on the information from this site and I will be sending him some $ as soon as I get home from picking up my order. (I don't know the person but I appreciate the service so I am willing to pay a few bucks for it).
I have been trying every hour of the day for 2 weeks straight and it still says there are no available times for curbside pickup and I should try again later? Has anyone actually received anything from click and collect the past month???!!??
Word of advice. Don't go on weekends.
Poor service is usually a sign of poor management and lack of caring for customers.
A wide selection from single towel bars to train rack bars.
Yes
Not really. Unfortunately it's difficult to get help in an ikea.. not sure why. Perhaps a liability thing. Some ppl seem to get help loading but others do not. So it is unreliable.
I called 17 times one day and the line was busy every time. Seems like it's "off the hook". Terrible customer service. Long check out lines. Store employees are pretty helpful. Doing a kitchen takes several attempts to get the out of stocks and return line is long. Ikea used to be good but it's gone down hill!
Yes.
I've had no issues with shopping online; however many of the products are out of stock in Renton, so you're asked to remove them before continuing with your purchase.
Yes but only for in stock items. Go on the online website, select Renton as your store and the items in your cart and then put in your zip code to see how expensive it is. Shipping starts at $49 but I was charged $150 for a sofa and bed to Bothell, WA (45min away) so it will likely be much more. Also IKEA subcontracts out the shipping to a separate company so if there is missing item or something is broken it is a pain to have things resolved....
Yep they are sold out of so many things. Don't come unless you see the item you want in stock on the website and to be safe order ahead for click and collect curbside pickup!
Probably.
They do have "as is" section. It is located close to check out, at the end of your trip. They have great stuff in this section very often.
Quick bites like hot dog, veggie dogs, ice cream & pizza can be purchased on the first floor right in front of where you check out (merchandise). Line can be long sometimes depending on the time of day.
Technically yes, but also not really. Too few people are allowed in the store at a time to be worth a trip down.
They only allow so many orders placed a day. They have a cap, so once orders for that day are capped out that is it until the next day.
They are open
Almost certainly so, unless they are able to enact carryout and take out their tables and chairs. Your best bet of course would be to call them.
I'm pretty sure it's not. You have the option to have them deliver the items to your house for some charge, but if you come with your own truck, they won't help you load it.
Not sure if they have one in store. Maybe look online at the catalog
Its a plastic pet bowl with a vaguely-pill-shaped container that holds water. Also its called Lurvig, and was recalled for killing animals
Go and talk with them
I really think it's as items become available, I've seen the stock change on a daily basis. I was there 3 times in 1 week a few weeks back and saw new items each time
Lots of choices, you need to look online for exact measurements
Yes IKEA has good options for kids beds and bedding
They have been out of stock on ours for a month now. They keep giving us different dates, but still no night stands.
They receive items multiple times a week. Online you can check their stock for each store and see a prediction when the item is in stock again.
It's based on a height limit of 37"-54" tall

Yes I saw them downstairs in the holiday stuff.
Because the entire supply chain for furniture has been disrupted by COVID. Many furnishing stores have lead times that have been effected.
It's open and smells delicious! I had meatballs!
Probably have to get the correct bulb from Ikea as they sell their own for their products, sorry that's the best I can do
More than likely the store will hold your item until pickup. But I would advise that you give the store a call 1st to let them know there will be a delayed pickup.
Your best bet is to look on line.
Yes. I was just there on Friday July 16 and it was open and it was busy! The bistro downstairs was open too.
If you're looking for appliances or cabinets this is your place to be, but if you're looking to remodel walls Home Depot/Lowes might be a better option.
I don't think the play area is currently open. The restaurant is nice but not open on the weekend unless this changed in the past two weeks.
Masks required, hand sanitizer available many locations. 6 foot distance signage, partitions are checkout. Normal covid 2021 stuff. I went on a weekday so not crowded. Looks lime they have a large outside queue for the weekend crowds. Capacity of in store shoppers is still largely reduced.
I just want to point out that ordering online isn't always an option. Ikea has a $100 shipping fee. Doesn't matter if you order a $2.50 baby plate or a $200 couch, the shipping/delivery fee is $100.
It will be easier to match the hardware from local hardware store like home depot.
yes, it's open.
There's a bunch of numbered parking spots around the south side of the building. You'll see a sign that'll tell you to go to a certain website to tell them you're there, then they'll bring your order out to you
I was told by the salesman that they get stuff in every week, and can order for you which takes about 2 weeks
I believe if you go through their website, you can order it and have it shipped either to your home or to the IKEA in SoCal. I would check the website and see what your options are.
I have returned items a couple times recently. Just be prepared for a long wait.
Best option would be to call the store, or corporate line. This is probably not monitored by them for questions like this. Also, coronavirus has put a damper on supply lines for things like furniture, so might be a waiting game.
I would think it would be what's on the sofa. Sometimes furniture doesn't have a protective cover unless stating stain repellent or like scratch or claw cover on it.
It's probably very accurate at the moment, I was in the store yesterday and they are very low on stock. Give it a few days for them to restock maybe?
There is an option in the online checkout, when you choose the delivery option. But slots are very limited. You can use this tool https://clickcollect.info/ and sit behind your computer waiting for a slot 😊
Here is the link, for Ikea Renton WA https://v2.waitwhile.com/checkin/ikeareturns/confirm
Yes going closer to opening or closing is best. I was there 2 weeks ago, mid day. Waited in line 20 min. Restaurant is closed but cafe is open, with limited items. Lines to checkout were long because only a few were open
I've gone twice in the last two weeks. The first time my sister and I got there a little after 10am on a Friday and waiting around 30-40 minutes. The second time I went with my bestie and her sister and we waited less than 10 minutes after arriving a few minutes before 10am. On both occasions, me and my party were wearing masks the whole time. But some people in line were not and were not keeping conscious of social distancing. Most people were though and I'm not above telling people they were standing too close. I think if you get there between 9:30am and 10am when they open you should get in fairly quickly. One nice thing about all this is that because they are limiting how many people go into the store at one time, you won't get that crushed feeling like you would on a normal IKEA weekend shopping trip. BTW, masks are required the entire time you're in the store and the restaurant is closed.
They allow 40 people at a time. The Line moves pretty fast, 25 minute wait at best. Wednesday around lunch is best😁
No it's not open. The cafe at front of store is but limited items. Bottled soda, hot dogs, soft serve ice cream and cinnamon buns
Go to ikea and talk to customer service.
Yes
No appointments are being taken. Just be prepared to stand in line to enter the store as they are limiting occupancy.
It's open
Yes
Yes it is.
Yes
You can order online
Nothing new, always been like that. Try twitter or get a hold of someone at headquarters
Yes. It took me several days to get . just be patient. I finally got it and picked up next day.
I will talk to my supervisors in the morning about it and once I get a answer I will reach back out to you. Thanks for being a loyal IKEA MEMBER STAY SAFE
I dont know, just gonna wait till someone says something and forward that to you, what you think?
Not sure but they are doing curbside pickup
I don't know if they're open, but considering the erosion of New Year's as an actual holiday they very well may be.
IKEA doesn't do any assembly themselves. But they can help you get in touch with a service that will. IKEA uses TaskRabbit, but you could find someone locally on your own. More info is in the customer service section on their website. https://www.ikea.com/us/en/customer-service/services/assembly/
Generally, yes
About what, their meatballs?
Definitely go on a weekday if possible. Waiting that long tells me your callback got lost in the shuffle.
Yes
Contact IKEA they have some but not all parts and if they don't t you could request free delivery under warranty.
I believe their return policy is printed on the receipt. However if you have the receipt, and it's still in the box band new a lot of times stores will extend for unopened items. I hope this helps!
I believe that they are open. But you should double-check on the website. Also call them to ask their hours in case anything is different.
It can be opened, but complete, with receipt, and within the return window.
They do not
I'd reccomend going into the store. Probably earlier in the day.
Write down product #s Call their 800 number to place your order. Might even get a discount if you voice your displeasure :)
It's on the website.
This is a Google managed site. Refusal to check a website or make a phone call is very LAZY.
https://www.ikea.com/ms/en_US/service-offer/assembly.html
Ask IKEA. This is Google.
365 days any item with all materials. Doesnt have to be intact
The only animals allowed inside of IKEA U.S. stores are certified service dogs.
Yes it's right behind the entrance escalaror now. On the 2nd floor.
Yes
You better go to the store.
Maybe, I'm not sure, I think it will take a week or more.
I unfortunately had to drive, it is the best way to get help. I was missing a piece when I had to go, the good part is they were able to replace it for no problem.
I'm sorry. I've been doing this for a long time, but I've never heard of this.
This is a Google managed site. Refusal to check a website or make a phone call is very LAZY.
You have 365 days to return anything at all, anything, for any reason to any IKEA. At the Renton store, walk in, the returns is to your left. If this helped, please click like. Thanks.
Agreed
Your dog should stay home, unless he/she is a service animal.
No.
I am sorry, but this is Google Maps, not IKEA
I hope not. We love dogs, and have two, but they do not belong in a food store or furniture store
Renton IKEA customer service is that bad
I'm pretty sure they still do. Check their website though.
If you order online, one day delivery doesn't appear as an option. I'm not sure if you can get one day delivery from the store.
They have so many customers daily, it's impossible for them to stay on the phones. Customer service is great, I suggest NOT going on a weekend or evening! Or you may be in line for a while.
IKEA sells both duvets(the fabric cover for the comforters) and the comforters themselves (the stuffing/down quilted into a blanket). In the event that you needed to replace the stuffing inside a comforter it would be easier to buy a new one. If you had a duvet without a comforter inside it IKEA has a wide selection of options with different weights and fillers.
Possibly yes but Not sure, because sometimes they match your purchase from your credit card(the one you used during buying the item) else you have to ask them.
Virginia, you're speaking to other Google maps users on this forum, not the IKEA store in question.
I don't but Ikea does. But maybe only part of their kitchen solutions? Not sure, I'd stop in and ask.
As they get stuff. I don't think there's a benefit of putting them away for anytime.
They sell jars at the food section near the check out register.😁
You go to to IKEA then ask one of the professionals there and make an appointment. The cost will differ on how large and ect.
Starts at $29, but may change based on where you are and what you order. Delivery is not fulfilled by the Renton store; the order goes to California where it is picked, packed, and shipped by a third party (in my case it was shipped via FedEx). It took 11 days.
I believe it only takes 1 week.
They do not have motorized scooters but they do have manual wheelchairs (Behind the escalators in the main entrance or ask an employee).
I don't think so unless they've got them on a shelf somewhere. I know some other Ikeas I've been to have though.
Very, very likely especially if they are still new.
Yes 6 PM. One of few stores open on Easter in the area. If you plan on stopping anywhere else also check their hours as many stores are closed.
They are 40 employees short for the whole store.
IKEA has a pick and delivery were they pick the item out at the store and then deliver it to your house. It is a little cheaper and faster because when you do the shopping online, it gets shipped from a warehouse in California.
There's a loading zone you can park in and there's employees out there that can help
Yes they do - though it is pretty gross. Basically a large bathroom with a toilet, sink one of those fold down changing tables and a pretty beaten up uncomfortable chair. The light is fluorescent. So not different really to nursing on the toilet which is not where I would want to nurse.
Yes, Ikea has a number of cushion cover options in the 20 x 20 size range
You will have to contact The store
You'd have to go to the website to check. The business doesn't monitor this platform.
It looks like it's running all day Friday, march 9th. The website says you need to contact your local store to ourchase tickets in advance. This is all i could find. Hope it helps!
Pulled from their website... Click and Collect Q: Where should I pick up my Click and Collect order? A: Park your vehicle in the loading area near the exit. Go in the exit door to the furniture pick-up area. Look for the Click and Collect sign.
They have elephant's foot and it looks kind of like a mini Palm tree. Just FYI this doesn't ask IKEA staff, is just a place to ask fellow users like yourself
I think I saw the cheese with caraway in the market section near check out
No they do not. They focus more on "general" electronics such as lamps or clocks. They dont even sell TV's
It depends on where you live.and what is being delivered. I had two items and live south of Tacoma it was 89
In Fredmeyer home department(house wears section) U can find it.
They had (about a year ago) a white plastic chair we use in the shower. But it isn't an "official" shower chair.
I recently made a national return. Easy process. If i had had a receipt then that would have gone to the card bit since my item was a gift, i got store credit and got what i needed. Try calling the stateside store.
Yes, go to the returns, help desk, and ask, take a picture of what you, or the part
You will need to call the Renton store directly on this one.
You might also try emailing them. From the website or catalog. Also if you know what department it is try getting to that department for help instead of just customer service person. Also you can try leaving a bad review sometimes company's pay attention to that. Just some alternative ideas if you can't get down to the store.
No Ikea Renton no longer has powered chairs, they had them in the old store but did away with them now. They have wheelchairs now.
Personally I would use a centimeter to foot calculator on the internet. I doubt Ikea, which is a primarily Swedish company, would have their plans in inches
Ikea just got a new line called Djungleskog which includes a tiger (like the white but in orange) a lion and a cub!
Yeah they have like three or four different types of carts, ones to hang bags, flat beds, and normal grocery carts, not sure if the bag ones fold, but the 4 wheeled carts all have four swiveling wheels which is kinda annoying.
They do sell wireless chargers
You can call them on contact number on website. Or try their website there must be other contact options.
Went there last night and they were there
Bring your return item with your receipt or have your Ikea Family number and they can review your past transactions to help process your return. You will either receive credit back in your original form of payment or a store credit.
Yes, tie down Loading Straps At $6.49 / 2pack 16' And Tarpaulin Rope At $1.99 / 32.808 '
10am
IKEA has a 365 days return policy, together with proof of purchase, you can get a full refund in the manner you paid.
