Had to make an appointment a couple weeks in advance and still had to wait over 30 mins, WITH an appointment. It's not enough to rip us off with excessive fees, they waste our time, too. Some of the people working there are pleasant. Some are horrible and completely unhelpful.
Ted Landreth
You definitely need an appointment if you go here there was two people in line ahead of me in the appointment line there must have been 70 to 80 people in the non appointment line I was in and out of there in about 10 minutes
JoJo DiCesare
Make your appointment for a Thursday if you can!
MassAdoption 2022
Wow, today's DMV title transfer transaction without an appointment was the fastest I've ever experienced. Tuesday 2:30pm. In and out in Less than 1hr
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
That's because the other 27, are googling it to tell the other 10 on how to do there job,, -----------🙈🙉🙊---------
Well I recently went to the Lancaster branch of the DMV and from start to Finnish moved amazingly fast and the staff were very friendly and professional. I'm not saying all branches are like that but you don't "Throw the baby out with the bathwater right" maybe it was an off day for that branch.
Because they not happy with their job, but can't get a different one.
Cash and Debit
Way cheaper than the superego.
No, but if you go online and go to appointments it will have an option to get in line and you'll get your number right there and it'll notify you when to head to the door...I did it while in Walmart and by the time I got there I only waited for 10 minutes...
Don't call for appointment, they've set it up to where you can go on the site dmv.ca.gov and you can choose appointments then an option that says get in line, they'll give you your number right there and notify you when your number is about to be called...it's really quick...
It depends how old are your tags
Were you able to make an appointment for your written test for your driver's license??
Yes
You have to walk in. Go early like 6:00am in the morning and not early on Wednesday because DMV will stop taking walk ins at 3:30pm.
I went today around 9:30/10 and I was in and out in no more than 20 min. I'm not sure what it looks like now though.
Yes but u have to get there early, if ur line is around the corner it's an hour just to get in and another HR to get helped
The Lancaster DMV is open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. 😃👍
Hello... Hope you are in need of some sort of answer. Yes very frustrating waiting for those tags! As long as you haven't been waiting for more than 6 weeks (a month and a half) you should be good. It typically takes 4 to 6 weeks for new registration, renewal tags, or stickers to arrive. Hope you get it soon! Have a good one
All behind the wheel test are by appointment only. However if you pass the written exam it is possible that you can take the driver's test on the same day. However, I strongly recommend that you make a scheduled appointment for everything, even if it is on the same day. That way you don't have to wait around all day. Remember the DMV has a lot of people and they all want what you want.
Go to: www.DMV.CA.Gov you going to make an appointment for any day you want!! The Lancaster DMV is great lots of parking big office and a lot of nice people to help you!!
Call up the DMV or go in and ask them what you need to bring in to get a California state ID card it's really easy!!! Or go to their website they may have information that states what you need to bring in to get a state ID card. Dmv.ca.gov
I'm almost certain they are
It's always best to make an appointment and sometimes people cancel their appointment, so they let you set your own time and date and if it's available they'll give it to you!! I got an appointment in the last 3 weeks, and got in within a week and a half!! You can look on line at dmv.ca.gov to make the appointment and they're phone number and address in Lancaster is there as well!! They'll send a confirmation to your email address with all the info!!😃
No, you have to wait for it to be sent to you by mail or it takes 5 to 7 days
The Lancaster DMV is a big place and it moves very quickly, never hesitate to make an appointment and that's the key to make an appointment and go in and it should take less than an hour to handle your business!! It's a very very nice DMV!
This location does not accept cash, just credit and debit payments. Kiosks inside DMV offices DO accept cash.
You can change the address and renew the license there. You have to pay the fine at the court house.
I'm not sure you understand the question regarding my YOM plates. I don't necessarily want to register them at the kiosk. I just want to be able to punch in the numbers of the license plates and see if they can be registered. Instead of having to wait hours and hours and hours like always, I just want to see if the license plate is valid and then if it is I will go through the process of seeing a window Clerk. Can YOM license plates be verified at this kiosk? If not, what is the easiest way to see if a set of license plates are clear for new registration?
No, there is no additional fee to renew your registration at a kiosk.
Unfortunately no, this is only used for registration.
No, sorry. You can renew and print your vehicle registration and license plate stickers on the spot, along with other transactions. See cadmvnow.com for a full list of things you can do at the kiosk.
$5 for official dmv printout, if you do it online dmv will give you a $2 printout, but most driving jobs wont accept that, i learned the hard way (gas wasted )
No but it makes the wait easier.
Depending on how much was the original price of reg so around 200-300
That sucks. Go to the DMV and get a new I.D. You can make a appointment, but since your I.D. is missing, it's best just to go get a new one.
Not sure about ID prices.. yeah make a apt.. wait in a smaller line. Drive Friendly.
Taking the Written To get the permit is $33. Driving test is $38.
The Service was fast if u get there before 9am!!
Superior and Albertson also have kiosk you can use theirs
Who made error? If they did no if you did yes.
Yes you can. But if you are gonna be down here more than 10 days. With Texas plates. I think you have to fill out some paperwork still
How do I call and make an appointment to get my identification card ?
Yup
Yes.
They open up on Saturday morning and it's for commercial testing only!
Yes
No idea, I got mine less than two weeks. Mine was a myid as well.
I also got mine in a couple days. Get to contacting them!
I wouldn't recommend scheduling an appointment, the wait is way too long and their online appointment system doesn't work well either. If I were you I'd dhow up early in the day (around 7am) as a walk in appointment. Make sure you have the right documents with you and good luck! 😁
I don't think you can
Yes
No they are not waiving the test
Under what do i look for the application? Is it under the real ID or?
Yes CHP does mm they do also do them there at the DMV but you have to make an appointment at the CHP and it's easier I think
You have to fill application online before you go to the dmv they want all the information on the system before you get there
My brother hasn't received his ID in a month
No appointments at this time.
A very short one .
New registration was 131$ for a 2007 passenger car this average cost of DL is about 40$ plus the 10$ processing fee. Just a ball park, though. Based on my experience.
Better off calling i called and got an appointment 3 days from when i called i was in there for about hour and a half got all my stuff done
Nope 🙅🏻. It's hard to get next day appointments or same day. But they are available online.
Yes but I do recommend getting an appointment if they are doing appointments again.
You can, but if you come to Lancaster prepare to stand in line outside at leat 2 /2 hours, if you did the online renewal you can also pay it online and just wait for it to arrive, if you are applying for the real ID one prepare to go to DMV with all required docs
Your best bet is to make an appointment with a dmv Rep. You may be on hold for an hour but once you get there you could be on and out in 25 minutes. That was my experience two weeks ago. Good luck.
No, if u wanna stand in line. But Yes if u wanna get in & out of there! w/o waisting 1/2 ur day! (Unless u get there @ 6am!) it's ridiculous u can ONLY go in straight 2 the kiosk!
I will call the DMV and ask them before you go their numbers on their website. I was just there two days ago and the line was extremely long took me almost 3 hours to get something done. Just FYI.
Yes it has to be separate multiple people can't have same email with DMV!!
Right now you have to have appointment for everything
Wait time in line is approximately about 3 hrs
You may want to check with the DMV website. Lots of online options to avoid the long lines.
If you don't have any tickets you will only do the eye exam only.
Yes. I strongly recommend making an appointment if possible. Otherwise, plan for a 2-3 hour wait time.
Hello if you have to go to the DMV and apply only so you can have it. Good luck blessings
I believe there open for limited hours but not sure
$32 the real Id I think is $12 more than the regular
Yes. Its better to do application online first.
And don't forget the code number from application
Yes
When I went 2 weeks ago they were having people taking their driving test and getting permits renewed. My advice to you get there around 630. People start lining up outside before they open the doors
Yes - and I would get an appointment - the line was long and the employees in the front lack proper leadership
I finally just bit the bullet and walked in. 3 hours to renew my license
Online, print out the confirmation number and go directly to the appointment line. Please do not just walk in, especially for a driver's test!
at my age I am required to come in take test, have vision test and get new picture. I am ok with doing test online it is just that I will not be able due to my age
What was your question?
Won't let you make an appointment online, just fill out the application online and printout the confirmation page and show up in the morning early. Show it to the workers at the front door and they will give you a window number for when they open.
Yeah they take in walk ins but be prepared to be in line waiting for a GOOD chunk of your day.
They are but sometimes they decide randomly to take in walk ins or appointments only. But if you stay in line they always let some in but you will be waiting.
Yes
DMV test no
Wait...was it red, square and with 2021 on it? I might have it.
1. If she wants her real id it requires birth certificate or unexpired passpot. If she.doesnt plan to use it to fly, she can get a regular state id. Regular non-flying id does not require documentation. Either, i believe, requires going ro the dmv to take a photo. Also, i think you have to take the documents in with you. They don't accept copies or photos of the birth certificate, green card, permission to work , or other official documents. Get an appointment and take all original documents with you. You should also take proof of new address, like mail at the new address with her name on it, just in case they ask.
I assume you mean the little kiosks. They are inside the DMV, right at the entrance. 4 of them, I believe. As far as REAL ID goes., that has to be done at the window in person to verify the documents needed for the ID and to sign some stuff. That's what happened to me.
Yes you can but you will have to make line since they only allow a certain number of people inside. Best to get there early. I was there an hour before opening doors and there was already a line around the building. But once I got in it was a fast process aside from waiting for your number to be called.
5 pm
No appointment necessary. But to prevent delays you should complete online info about who you are & purpose so your assigned a number quick. When you arrive, their is a check in person who gives you a number if your prepared.
yes there open. There advising the elderly and anyone sick to stay home. if you can complete it on tge website do so. if not they are still open
Hello Mr. Babb, It looks like Ms. Rosie Treasure gives you the right info that you might need for your Real ID, I was about to give you the same info but I saw her reply, I just can say make also your appt online bc that'll save you time, I do that everytime that I need something from DMV bc in less than 15 minutes I'm done, good luck and have a safe week!
Of course you can, they have all your records but will be a good idea to bring an old one just to identify yourself, good luck in your test!
Unfortunately you do but try to make an appt online on your convenient time and with all your paperwork and you'll done in less than 15 minutes, that's what I do every year, have a great day!
I not sure but my friend had to go to DMV directly, but to save time you can make an online appointment to visit an DMV and it'll take you, no more than 10 minutes to do your paperwork , good luck and wish you a great weekend 🙂👍
Hello Mr. Avalos, I just registered a Toyota Camry 2018 from Nevada, it cost me $500.00 dollars to do it, I not sure how much will be yours but I just made my comment so I might help you to have an idea, have a great night 🙂👍
If you have an appointment. I don't know how soon. They would serve you. But I just walked in. And there'll be a person. Walking through the seeded waiting room. And you'll see them there asking questions. That's the person you want to find. With my second car needed to be Put in my name. I skipped. The line inside where the person tells you what to do. And look for that employee. That is asking questions. About what are you here for?
It all depends. If you have already taken the written exam then all you need to do is take the drivers test. However, if not then you need to take both
First of all did he surrender his previous LIC. Second did he give the Downey address or Lancaster? Thirdly does he have any outstanding factors that would hinder the process. Did he apply for the real I'd. If there are no restrictions or red flags, consider that the time to process may take a little longer than usual because of the real id stuff. In the news it was already reported that there would be a lot jam because people are waiting to the last minute to get the real I'd. If you are still concerned then contact them to see what is going on. But don't be frustrated just talk normal and above all be respectful.
This is not a question you should be asking openly. If someone else is using your ID it is better to notify all local government and federal agencies. Furthermore you need to report this to the DMV like last week. Because anything can happen between the time you read this message and the time you notify the DMV.
Well it is a national holiday, however, you might want to call them to find out.
No . is only for stickers
Most likely yes
You need to go to DMV and ask for the real id
You need to go to the DMV and add it to the title
Yes
It all depends on what you want. I suggest that you go to the DMV website and get all the information you need
Are you referring to the certication of business vehicles. Dude it's the DMV, think about it
I just checked with the Department of Motor Vehicles in Lancaster and they are going to be open on Saturday the 25th they will be closed on Monday which is Memorial Day!! Saturday hours are 8am to 5pm, you have a great weekend!! 😃☀️
At the kiosk you can only renew your license plates... And get your new stickers if you have the renewal notice..
Not the owner but someone with a driver license and the car needs to have all the paperwork like insurance and registration card i took my son and my little sister
For the written part you can just walk in.
Because according to city officials Lancaster and Palmdale are too small to have more than one DMV. And they're too close to each other
Yes they open Saturday
I'm not sure you can make that in the kiosk. I think that can only be done in the dmv..
The DMV now is only for renovate sticker car
Here is something to remember if it's a federal agency then all federal and local governments do not work on federal holidays. If it is a local government, then all local governments do not work on government holidays. But in case you still have questions, take a gander at this. OFFICES 2019 Holiday Closing Schedule For Major Customer Service Offices Offices are normally closed on Sundays and Mondays Holiday Observed on DMV Schedule New Year's Day Tuesday, January 1, 2019 Wednesday, January 2 - offices reopen at 7:45 a.m. Martin Luther King Day Monday, January 21 Friday, January 18 - Open 7:45 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Saturday, January 19 - Closed Lincoln’s Birthday Tuesday, February 12 Wednesday, February 13 - offices reopen at 7:45 a.m. Washington’s Birthday Monday, February
Yes
The documents you will need are ss card and proof of residency. On the other hand if you plan to travel or board a plane. You may as well get a real id, as long as you are 21 and older because by 2020 it won't matter. It will be mandatory. The id cost 30-33 dollars. And the real id cost is 35 dollars. To get a real id you will need proof of nationality and resident no copies will be allowed. For more information just go to www.dmv.gov
OMG it doesn't cost anything to take the test however, read this. In order to get your learner's permit, you'll need to take the California DMV written test, which will have 46 questions and you'll be required to answer 38 correctly to pass. To get a permit, you'll pay a $33 fee and must take a standard vision test at your local DMV, in addition to the written knowledge test.
Yes and it's better to get your real id now because full convert is in 2020 which means that you want have an option and in addition to that, you will have to pay for the real id all over again. https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/detail/realid/checklist
The DMV has posted a list of documents that Real ID applicants may use. The cost is the same as for a regular California driver's license, $35. The cost is $30 for state ID cards.Jan 22, 2018

If it's too much then you can always decline. Car titles vary depending on the car age and what you paid for it.
Yes
Unfortunately, you would not be able to receive a duplicate or replacement registration card or decal, from the SST.
You would not be able to get an H6 printout at the kiosk. See cadmvnow.com for a full list of things you can do at the kiosk.
You should get it before the 12th, it's probably still coming but if you don't have it by the 10th I would make a trip over to Lancaster DMV and you could make an appointment at this point the 8th or 9th and that way your wait time wouldn't be so long!! But I would bet that you will get it in the mail before the 12th!!!!!
Allen go on to the internet to dmv.ca.gov you can do this on a computer or your cell phone. they have the lookup feature where you can type in learner's permit and depending on whether you're over 18 or under 18 they tell you what paperwork you need to bring in!!! It didn't say that you have to have an appointment!! So it looks like you can just walk in! But still go to that website so that you can make sure you bring in the correct paperwork with you!! I will say that it is always good to make an appointment because your wait time is shorter no matter what your going in for!! the Lancaster office is very nice and the people there are very nice as well!! Good luck to you, I'm sure you'll do well!!
I would go first thing in the morning I would get up early and be there a half hour early and try to be one of the first people in line!! But I will also say that making an appointment is always a good idea!! Go to dmv.ca.gov and you usually can make an appointment within a week if you can wait that long!! If not just go early early in the morning! I believe they open at 8 in the morning but you can check that time at the website!! And by the way the website does come up on your cell phone!! I wish you good luck, it really is great to have a driver's license 😃👍
The two to six weeks may be right but you could always swing by their office and ask the girl at the information desk when you walk in!! Usually it only takes 5 or 10 minutes to go through that line, and she will probably know how long before you'll get it!!
I'm in palmdale I need a duplicate driver's licence
People have different experience and or expectations. Some days the wait is long and others it is much shorter. To have the best experience zi would say make an appointment, if possible, but more important is to go in with a positive attitude.
Depends. During the week fluctuates. The best time to come is on Saturday's after 10am.
With an old registration.
Linda, you will have to go into the DMV to get an ID card! You will also have to bring some documents with you in order to apply for that, such as birth certificate, proof of residency etc. You can go online to: dmv.ca.gov to make an appointment to do this so your wait time will be less then if you just walk in! Go online to: REALID.dmv.ca.gov and it will tell you exactly what you need to bring in order to get that ID card!! The DMV website is always very helpful and easy to maneuver!
Connie I agree with Larry, you can either walk in to the DMV and get a number and wait to talk to somebody and find out why or you can go to www.dmv.ca.gov and make an appointment and that may cut down your wait time!! But the people at our DMV here in Lancaster or super nice and they'll help you with whatever problem there is with your registration!!
You can renew a few Months in advance
Sorry, not at the kiosk. You can renew and print your vehicle registration and license plate stickers on the spot, along with other transactions. See cadmvnow.com for a full list of things you can do at the kiosk.
It can be but it will be about the same as your first time.
To my knowledge when you have a speeding ticket and you go to traffic school they either give you a certificate of completion and you take that to DMV or it's automatically sent to DMV!! If they gave you a certificate take that into the DMV and show it to them! You probably could go online and make an appointment, that way you wouldn't have to wait very long or you can just go in there, they have a line and there's a person there where you can show them what you have and they will tell you exactly what you need to do! The Lancaster DMV is one of the nicest ones I've ever seen, it's large, they have great parking, and the people that work there are very helpful!!👍
If you are planning on operating a motor vehicle, you'll need a Driver's License. If you are not driving and require identification, the ID will serve that purpose.
You can call the toll free number to find out where it is. Calling will be eadier and faster than going to the office. Either way someone can find out where it is.
I would call Sacramento. It could just be delayec in rhe mail or it could have been incorrectly delivered.
As long as your smog info has been updated in the DMV system, you'll be able to renew at the kiosk and get your tag immediately!
Do you know your license plate number and VIN number if you do you can go to the DMV and request a copy of your old registration or just update it and get a new one I hope this answer helps you with what you need have a great day
No
First go to dmv.ca.gov and make an appointment to register your out-of-state vehicle. There may be information on that website about registering an out-of-state vehicle but for sure you would need to bring all your paperwork for your car to your appointment!! You don't need to bring your car unless you need to drive it there! at the Lancaster DMV if you just walk in there they do have people that can answer your questions and an information desk! you might just swing by there so they can tell you what paperwork or information they will need to complete the transfer of your vehicle to California!! It's a nice big place lots of seating lots of parking and really nice people that work there that will help you!! I think it would be worth your while just to swing by there and talk to somebody and then make your appointment to go in!! With an appointment you get through the DMV pretty quick without an appointment you may be there two or three hours!!
Yes you can best to go early they stop giving the test at 4:30 for the written test. I believe for the writtwn test like previously reply said you need an appt sorry for the mix up
Passport or a US birth certificate, a piece of mail addressed to your current address, social security card, and your current driver's license is what I brought
Depending on the type of driver's license that you want. For the federally accepted identification you'll need your Washington driver's license, your Social Security card, your Passport (or US birth certificate) and a piece of mail with your new current California address
Mostly. If its busy, you'll still be waiting a while. We waited around 30 min.
You could try going to DMV.CA.GOV
Sorry, not at the kiosk. You can renew and print your vehicle registration and license plate stickers on the spot, along with other transactions. See cadmvnow.com for a full list of things you can do at the kiosk.
It is better to get an appointment
No, sorry. You can only renew a motorcycle (or other vehicle) registration at the kiosk.
No
Are you gonna print the sticker and glue it or ???
Complete an SR1 form on line
Yes, you can use it to renew at the kiosk.
All driving tests are appointment only.
No sorry, you can only file for planned non operation status or renew your vehicle registration at the kiosks.
You have to pay to apply for a license. First drive test is free, but if you fail, the second and third test have a small fee. I think it was 7 dollars 3 years ago, but it may have changed.
No
Yes. You need your current registration or your renewal notice.
Sorry, not at the kiosk. You can renew and print your vehicle registration and license plate stickers on the spot, along with other transactions. See cadmvnow.com for a full list of things you can do at the kiosk.
If it's just a regular ID all they wanted from me was the ID number (in my case my driver's license number) so I could get a replacement license and the 35 dollar replacement fee.
Yes, as long as it's been expired for less than a month.
How do you release a ownership of a vehicle to be salvaged
Managers discretion.. not something usually done though, they will prob tell u they cannot issue anything in lieu of receiving and processing doctors form... I'd ask my dr. What the hold up is??? If you've had a license previously and not revoked due to serious medical condition or reckless dui's, then should u come in contact with law enforcement for some unknown reason, they'd prob just give you a warning unless you've been revoked and their system indicates that... if it's pending status and just going thru renewal process then shouldn't be a big deal, ...but then again.. why is the medical form necessary? Did you have a seizure or lapse of consciousness while driving to initiate needing medical clearance?... it really depends on the specific facts in order to give completely accurate good advice on this matter... be safe & good luck!
Yes
Sorry, not at the kiosk. You can renew and print your vehicle registration and license plate stickers on the spot, along with other transactions. See cadmvnow.com for a full list of things you can do at the kiosk.
You would have to go into the office to find out.
Online. Just visit the DMV website and select "Online Services".
With truancy, they create a driving record for you so they can suspend your license. It's pretty messed up. You got to get it cleared by the court before you can do anything
I revisited the DMV portal and checked under the "appointments" link. Just entered the requested info and that allowed me to see my scheduled appointment.
Visit the DMV website. But be aware, there is a private website similar to the state's DMV. Good luck.
You'll need to contact the DMV about licenses. You can renew and print your vehicle registration and license plate stickers at the kiosk, along with other transactions. See cadmvnow.com for a full list of things you can do at the kiosk.
Inside Superior Grocers
Yes!
How can I pay 4 registration@ zDMV. Wasn't sent regis form?
Not sure sorry
No you don't have to pay because he is your family but you have to pay taxes for the value of the car. Of course the penalty when the car was parked.
No weekend
No
Yes it's open Saturday's
Yes you can get a service without appointment 😉
I don't believe so. You do need one for the driving test though.
From what I found out from the website, they're open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., but Saturday field office hours are by appointment only for Real ID driver license and identification (ID) card customers.
Usually the smog check report is uploaded electronically by the smog check shop. I would try the yellow sticker machine first before making line
Hacta of birth 2 forms of I.D co photos And some billes in his name
If you have already gotten an id, or driver license in this state, then you are already in the database. Just give them your full name and dmv id/license#. Back when I first applied for my dl I brought in my U.S.passport and my social security card.
So this year, it's a year if a year does not
With your registration
No
No
If by today you mean m-f yes!
Depends how much you paid for it generally I've spent anywhere from 75 to 185
It's $29 I believe
Take a change of clothes and some food
You can go online
No but the best time to go there is in the morning less crouded
It's not mandatory, smart to have, because you never know when you might need it.
It is $33 and I believe they give you an estimation of 2-4 weeks.
No
No
No
You going to need a social security card some other form of ID like a school ID
Go the DMV and tell them to change your status.
No grandma you can't pay with a check anymore
Yes call agian
From speaking with my insurance company, and the DMV, yes they do. If your SR22 hasn't even filed you can either bring the hard copy or have your insurance fax it to the DMV while you are there.
Overall it's takes about 2 weeks it ge a new photo ID. Also consider the reason why you're getting a ID in the first place..either you took a test or your renewing. Drive Friendly.
I wish i can be more of a help. I would think that they would have it in their system. Best bet though is to call them.
Take your registration to DMV and tell them your sticker was stolen
No, they are not. 50$, and they are special offers for customers.
Use DMV website, for making the appointment. Go to a smog station and get it tested regardless, pay the money. Once that's done, and your car passes smog, your renewal will be available but you have to pass smog. This is the process if you live in California. Drive friendly.
The DMV is open 8am to 5pm Monday thru Friday. Excluding holidays. I'm going to safely assume this question was in regards to Labor day in which case no the DMV was closed on Labor day.
Very unfortunate circumstance. You should contact your insurance they will create a claim. Your claim number should be submitted through your insurance to the DMV. Once submitted to DMV you can contact the DMV confirming the situation and your claim number. Your insurance may tell you otherwise.
