Iconic and one of a kind.

The Kennedy Space Center was amazing! There is so much to do and experience. My kids, ages 6 and 8, both loved it and so did my husband and I.
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
They have
Can my husband use his own scooter during a visit?
Yes, there are lockers made just for this past the turnstile behind the Information building.
Price is on website. Approx $50 with various discounts for age and vets.
Yes you can bring water bottle.. near to most of the restrooms water fountain is there...
Accessible parking is located near the entrance of the Visitor Complex for a fee. A valid parking permit is required, and a temporary disabled parking permit is available at any ticket window. All guests should have an equal opportunity to experience Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex attractions, exhibits and tours.
Yes, just bring and umbrella. You'll only need it going between buildings.
They are still there and the bus tour drives right by them. It was very cool to see!
Well. They do have lockers, but you should leave the luggage in a vehicle if you can. They go through all bags and scan just like an airport. If you are traveling without a vehicle you may want to ask someone to stash your luggage.
Yes
You can't bring your own rocket. Unless you have your own Saturn 5 in your car.
Kids will love this place. Need two days to see everything.
For Kennedy space center my advice would be to buy a yearly pass it's just much better Plus parking is free with a yearly pass and you also get 10% of food and merchandise.
There is a small gift shop outside the main gates but you would still need to pay for parking
If you visit their website, you can add your name and they will put it on the Artemis 1 to fly around the moon. Just your name though, not your body. Otherwise you will have to join the astronaut program and hope for the best. Maybe in the future they will be able to take people but it would still most likely be costly.
Park at the visitors center for most of the exhibits. And take a short bus ride for the rest. $10 to park unless you have an annual pass.
Mask up and keep your distance. Carry sanitizer with you if that is a concern. Stay away from holidays and weekends if crowds are a concern. We spent all day Friday. A few school groups but not really crowded at all.
We visited in Feb 2022 and there was a general access ticket and 2 add ons that seemed geared for children. I was able to access all these areas with general admission. Also received a free bus tour ticket from the ATX building to go nearer to the launch sites, drive by the assembly building and visit an incredible building that houses the biggest rocket ever built.
Hi Richard, I do not see any special rates or discounts right now for Kennedy space center, Florida. My brother was saying that last year there were some coupons available in Groupon. May be in future we can expect some coupons on Groupon. We love the experience visiting KSC, Florida. It's worth for money. Kasi
You will if you have imbibed
They do but I would suggest to call in advance to make sure that you can get one because this place gets busy fast.
Anytime, today was nice, but I'm excited to go back when it's a little cooler, to be able to enjoy the outdoor sites more
Not sure u would have to call .sorry Do u have last year's tickets it may help when u call
I would check the website, but pretty sure only service dogs are allowed on the property. I saw no pets during my visit.
Not until they open everything up again. No bus... No sat 5... Not much for the full price... 1/4 the experience. Feb 2021
Yes u can just show the barcode. Also I printed mine at Staples . Just send it to there e mail address
If it is a registered service animal you may bring it into the premises otherwise you'll have to leave it in the kennel
The entry fee is around US $70 in .. add to that the amount of trip from India
Day of visit is fine, plenty available
Yes there is a veggies you can eat
I didn't see electric scooters when there but I do know they have wheelchairs.
It is only observable from the bus tour, however they do drive around the entire building, so you get a very good look!
Yes, you can park on the highway that leads to KSC and watch it from the highway. You will not see the first 3 to 5 seconds of lift off is all.
And $ 4
Yes. Probably not in hurricane, or if it rains at night when it's always closed.
Service animals are allowed anywhere humans are allowed. It's the law. How does KSC get around a federal law?
$10 to park a car. $5 FOR A motorcycle And $15 for an RV. After you park go to the ticket counter. Tickets range from $46 for seniors $50 for adults and up to $260 for a multi day park pass.
They post the launching times in their site.
Around 15 mins and got short video to watch
There is a decent amount of walking, but a bunch of it is indoors at the various buildings. I didn't feel like I had done a ton of walking after spending the entire day there. According to my Garmin I walked about 9000 steps/5 miles over the course of the day.
My opinion here. It is a full day of very interesting, educational and unforgettable experiences. I think it is a unique destination experience, not a place most people would go without planning for it. In fact, I think taking some time before the visit to catch up on the Apollo and Shuttle programs would make it even more interesting! I think it is well worth the price of admission.
I am not sure whether Thanksgiving day is a holiday or not for KSC. It's better to visit KSC's website.
Go on line and check. Its pricey but worth it
I saw several. So yes. They also take a photo of you before you board. It's fun.
No... No day... Unless you take the groupon offer that allows you to buy tickets in advance.
9:30 am get there by 8:30 am to reserve a bus seat. Use the Kiosk in the building, to your right of the bus entrance and get your ticket or get your digital copy on your electronic device.
There's a dog kennel for vaccinated dogs. Otherwise service dogs only.
We were on the first bus so no waiting and a nice ride.
Reservations are recommended. But they also have a will call window. There you can get your admission cleared. This happened to me as I purchased my ticket before the reservation date requirement. As long as you get there early enough(I got there at 9:30 and it opened at 9:00) they should be able to accommodate you. Good luck and enjoy.
Yes, will receive complimentary admission to the visitor complex. Up to four guest will receive a 50% discount on admission.
Orlando airport is the closes. It's about a 40 minute drive from there.
We bought our tickets at the Cocoa Beach pier for $50. I think at the park they're $57.
Yes and for active duty military. Year pass is best deal.
The bus (air conditioned tour bus) takes you from the visitor center to the Apollo/ Saturn V center. The bus passes the NASA vehicle assembly building on the way. No full tour that I recall from several years ago. You are required to reserve a spot on the bus for your group as you enter the visitor center. Look for a board with a QR code as you walk from the parking lot to the entrance.
They stamp your hand so your can return. And the parking is $10.00.
Im sure you can take your on lunch. We are at the café that is their.
Same here email the web site or customer service to check.
There are kiosks
Depends on how old and big he is
No, you can purchase the ticket on spot, by just walking in.
Only reservation for the Saturn-Apollo bus tour. As soon as you get there. Or via the app.
It's open but you have to reserve transportation upon arriving at the visitor center through a mobile app. I recommend reserving transportation as soon as you get there as spots do fill up quick. Also last bus of the day over there is at 2pm!
I got tickets the morning we went, online. However, I got a notification of a specific hour we can enter (12pm). We have a pass and that time worked well for us, but if your want to make sure you start your day early, buy at least 24 hours ahead - when I checked the night before it already gave me only the option of entering at 12pm.
It might but will be different. Be safe.
Any day is best to go, just bring a hoodie or jacket! The Space Center is near the ocean, so it will be very windy! You can actually purchase tickets the day of! Try getting there early though, if not the lines will be long.
You can purchase on site or on line which ever is best for you. We purchased on line with out delay at gates
No bus service. Things are certainly not as they were!
I imagine that for being of service if ... I say! But it would be better if you called to see what they say!
I honestly don't know, but it was only like a 30 min drive from where we were staying.
I'm not sure the discount, but they only fill up on launch days. You can certainly just buy on site. It's an amazing experience!
Huh?
Yes, you pay a $20 shopping pass fee. You get your $20 back if you finish shopping within 2 hours.
There should be no problem visiting the space center but just call before you take the drive.
Yes
I would say you should plan for an entire day. But if you only have 3 hrs take the bus tour and get some of the high points on the grounds. That's if there isnt a large crowd and you walk quickly through it all.
We didn't see any at the main parking; however, if you ask when you are entering the parking, they have a much better answer. There are 3 on property and you will have access just by asking.
Last launch we saw, we had to pay admission to the Kennedy space center and then a $50 per person ticket for the launch on top of admission fee. You have to be there early and they bus you into viewing stands and then bus you back out after.
Many of the attractions are indoors like the shuttle experience and other simulators. Places like the rocket garden and any bus tour are outside though.
Better check their website for schedule would save lot of trouble.
I like the Orbit Cafe the best. Food seems really fresh for a fast food place.
I spent just 5 hours there, took only the basic bus tour, and felt like I missed half of what there was to see. You really need at least a whole day--more if you want to experience some of the paid extras.
It's a lot of walking, personally I made sure all of our crew wore real shoes...flip flops might leave sore spots.
No
Their website says that a general admission ticket is required. The Banana River location is in KSC grounds, and you can't get there without taking a bus from the Bisitor Complex.
It can get really crowded on holidays. This means that the wait times are longer and everytime you go into an exhibit it will be full.
There is a SpaceX Falcon Heavy launch in Monday Jan 24 at 11:30 PM local time (EDT).
Yes
Motorcycle -$5, cars/trucks -$10, RV's -$15.
Yes. You can wait at the restaurant. You can go see a movie or you can visit the big exhibit for the Atlantis. You have the nature exhibit, or heroes and legends. And also the Mars experience. So a couple of very nice and cool places to stay at while the family enjoys the bus tour 👍🙂🌈
Included all the tours, less the lunch with austronauta. This place have a good parking. And you need almost all day for to visit this place.
Use regular parking. Lunch with an Astronaut is inside the complex, ususlly at the Debus Center, so you will also need complex admission.
Hi, here is a link to visitor info and hours. I would call them. https://kennedyspacecenter.com/info/hours-of-operation
Motorcycles - $5.00 Automobiles - $10.00 Oversized vehicles, motor homes or RVs - $15.00
I would plan to spend the whole day, because you won't get to see and do everything
It would depend on the time of the launch if that's what you're going to see but you could see the space shuttle go up from just about anywhere in Florida I would go early they have fun things to do
I'd check for an affordable Airbnb. I stayed 10 mins from KSC for one night and was on the first tour bus to the Sat V centre. Nice to get in as they open.... Straight to busses and tick that box early, frees up time later.
Just show up and purchase tickets. They have tours available once you arrive.
No.
nothing very good hot dog pretzil chips soda water cafe
Parking is around $10:00 to $20:00 dollars. Pay when you get there .
You can eat it out of the package, is designed to not melt at room temperature, is a little brittle but soft to the bite... You don't have to do anything to the product,... ENJOY
$50 for seniors age 55+
Hi Maria. Not that we saw or heard of. That would be cool though.
Not sure best to call 1st high level of security
They have bus parking. I'd reckon a semi is gtg. Call ahead to confirm.
Lots of really good food at the restaurant. Bacon onion burgers were amazing.
Yes. Go to the "shopping" tab in the pull down menu on their website. They have a larger selection at Kennedy, but you can buy online.
No, you can purchase at the entrance gate, cash or card payment.
Noon to 1:30
No they don't but they accept all major credit cards and I don't know how he can make it all the way from Canada to South Florida and not have American money so I think it's a moot point
They do actually check everything that you bring into the park but my experiences that they don't restrict food and water but again like everything else they do expect that you're going to buy products there because they have rest restaurants or places to eat
There are a couple of things which you should book in advance. For example, the astronaut training experience.
$50 for adults unless youre military, then its a few dollars off ☺ oh i forgot - $10 to park your car 👍
Uh, you could have used google but it stands for National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
We went on a Sunday, got there at 9am and the crowds were pretty good until midday.
50 bucks for adults. I felt it was money well spent.
You can buy tickets from outside vender. Google Orlando tickets
50 plus parking
I still think they do, but I don't know the price call the kennedy space center
Make sure to go early! There is so much to see and do there now! The newest addition is train like an astronaut- mission to Mars. Costs extra but worth it! 😄
Blue Origin also has a facility going up at Exploration Park, that's another 330 jobs with an average wage of $89,000.
Every 90 minutes it orbits the Earth but whether it passes over your location is a different thing. That's not really something heavily talked about at Kennedy Space Center. However, according to the ISS Detector app (you can get it on your phone) the next time the ISS will pass north Central Florida is Friday at 4:26 am. Seeing it also depends on cloud cover and whether or not it's in the Earth's shadow -those are only some of the factors that determine whether you'll see it or not.
Yes. If you take a cooler, they are doing security checking at the gate they might have you leave it in the car. You can get a 'hand stamp' to leave and reenter the park. There are several restaurants and lunch stands and seating areas.
Not at all. I've been there a few weeks and there was this service.
East coast of Florida. 5 hours North driving from Miami.
The posted 2018 hours: now to April 8 9:00-7:00 April 9-July 1 9:00-6:00 July 2- Aug 12 9:00-7:00 Aug 13-Dec 20 9:00-6:00 Dec 21-Dec 24. 9:00-7:00 Dec 25. 9:00-5:00 Dec 26-30 9:00-8:00 Dec 31 9:00-6:00
Even if you do not know English, the experience is understandable. Very graphic, concrete, and there is always an opportunity to expand the information with documentation. They will not regret it.
Lots of walking and reading. Interactive displays .
Admission fees: $50 ages 12+, $40 ages 3-11, children under 3 are free. Also, there are other add-ons that cost more, like lunch with an astronaut, etc.
Nobody's going to search your car for no reason
Nancy Sharon and Matthew your answers are mean spirited and not helpful. The answer to the question is yes they are open on thanksgiving.
It all depends on your enthusiasm. I personally would like 2 days. One day for the bus tour alone, but you can zip through it in 3 hours. However, you can do the whole facility in 1 day if you time it just right but get there early and stay till closing time to get the full effect.
No there is no cost for rides however all extra expenses like food you do have to pay for
Yes you can Depending on type of correspondence you may need to send the letter to NASA in Houston
Not sure, but I would call to verify.
Their gift shop has plenty of options like t shirts, toys also mostly scientific gifts you might find there for a science enthusiast who will definitely like them. Thank you.
No, i don't.
Welcome! Hope they will have a good time. The language used by bus tour and in auditorium was English but that was 1hr - 1.5hr...rest is the shuttles and other things where language will not be a barrier. Also try using english -> spanish translate on the map/details and that will help. Hope this helps.
There used to be an air force station and missile rest range there and there was a whole lot of uninhabited space that the federal government was able to buy up for this purpose. The climate also allows for year round operations.
We arrived at about 11 and stayed till they closed down, feeling that we had to get there earlier.
Yes check the nasa website for tickets or you can find a place along the Indian river there is a small restaurant on rivers edge dr in titusville called new York new York that has a great outside dock and tiki and good food
