Main complaint - The food is horrible. I am serious some things my dog wouldn't eat. Sometimes you get the wrong order and then takes forever to get fixed. To be in the place not well and then be served food that is disgusting. One meal looked like a stack of vomit. Something needs to be done. I was in rehab and very glad to have gotten released. Do something re: the chef or whoever cooks this stuff.

I waited some time as to not provide an emotional review. What I can say is, Solaris had very few staff onboard who truly cared for their patients. My mom went originally for 3 weeks of rehab to help her strengthen her legs; being mostly deaf, suffering from vision issues from macular degeneration, and dementia the team basically wrote her off and let her lay in a bed for 2 months because they considered her uncooperative. She came out and died 20 days later. Blame covid, short staff; whatever makes those who run this place sleep at night; the staff there barely responded to our requests to aid my mother, one even told me I could wait because she would get to my mom when she could- allowing her to sit in soiled diapers for hours leading to extreme urine/fecal burn. I hear this is one of the best facilities which is highly concerning. My mother fell and we were notified 5 days later (the day of her discharge) when they finally saw she broke her front tooth In her fall. My recommendation if your loved one is here…. GO EVERYDAY.

Norm is very happy here. He says the food is good and the nurses are friendly. He has done well on his therapy. I wish his area was a little larger and that he could have a chair to sit in, but what is…..is. He spends a lot of time in bed. Hopefully he will become more social and attend the many programs that are available.
