Just called and the bridge has been repaired and is operational 11/27/21. I could not find information on how to request an opening, but the bridge has a sign to call channel 9 or 16. The bridge opened, but I did not hear an acknowledgement of the call.

It’s is a okay fishing spot not that much action going on. I do recommend for beginners because you’ll don’t need to do anything crazy shrimp and a hook is all u need

Yes it did colapce in 1955 my mother was 6 months pregnant with me here name is Joyce Jalford my dad Harry better known as blue loved to go there. I've been there when I was younger and they had a picture of my mother on it under water. She said prisoners had been working on the bridge at that time.

Mathers is the bridge that connects Merritt Island with Indian Harbor.
It's a bridge! The only phone out there would be for the draw bridge tenders, and I don't believe that the Dept of Transportation publish those numbers.
