Sequoia national park is beautiful. This is the kind of place everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime. There is a lot of hiking trails to choose from. The most popular ones such as Moro rock and General Sherman have paved paths so they are easily accessible to everyone. There is plenty of parking and a lot of wildlife. We saw a mama bear and her cubs climbing up a tree during our trip.

If you want to take a fantastic walk through the woods, this is where you need to go. The views are beyond words. So many wonderful things to see. The trees and mountains, and wildlife. The experience is one that you will remember for a lifetime. It's an amazing walk, you truly will enjoy. If you have never felt small after your stroll through the tree you will. Have a picnic and take in all of the beauty.

Firstly, I would applaud that this national park is built and managed so well for the handicapped! Major attractions are handicap accessible. Secondly, the giant sequoia trees, the hiking trails, the black bears, the tunnel log, the meadows and Moro Rock are amazing. We had a fun time exploring the park for a full 3 days. Finally, the rangers and shuttle drivers are extremely knowledgeable and helpful! We will come back again to explore different parts of the park.

Absolutely gorgeous national park. We were able to explore both sequoia national park and king's canyon national park in the same day. The short walk down to the general Sherman tree was fantastic. Don't miss the short congress trail - it is beautiful
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
Yes, redwoods are very special
Moro Rock? You cannot enter the road to Moro Rock Saturday or Sunday.
Do the loop hike in the early morning and let yourself be overwhelmed by the beauty of the trees and the knowledge that our lives are just a very small part of the life of those ancient giants.
Comfort inn at three rivers, ca is close to great Sherman tree
You need to check every day the weather, ...I went last week and it was a "Alert" of "may use chains " but I think that it's better to go in summer time because you can walk in all the trails.
Not closed but there will be nobody to assist him, for the closure of the government.
About a month ago it was 50 at night and 80 in the day. Many trails are shaded so it was perfect weather for hiking and exploring.
The park manages a few accommodations. Buckeye Tree is a nice place, at 1300 ft. The General Sherman tree is at 7,000 ft of elevation, the winding mountain road, General highway leads to the Giant Forest. Buckeye Tree, Gateway Hotel, Sequoia Village Inn are the last few lodgings before you drive towards the Giant Forest.
There was the warning for February 25 but today February 29 there are no warnings
Paying for the day IS paying $30 dollars. Even if you stay for an hour each vehicle must pay the entry fee Now this park is $35 just fyi But i don't mind paying it because the money goes to the park service : ) Active duty military members (with VALID ID) get free access to all Natl parks as well, and can get a free annual pass!
Only certain areas are open due to the fires that have occurred but there are many to keep them open
If there are 35 per car and the pass is valid for a week Jose Briceno in any of the 2 tickets, they make it valid
In the daytime it should be warm. But at nights it get really cold, even in the summer months.
Some are, the General Sherman is the one I can recommend for stroller. Regards.
And how much did they charge you to enter the park?
Hello, this is one of the Sequoia biosphere reserves recognized by UNESCO. You can find a Sequoia named General Grant which is 82 meters high and 12 meters in diameter, the 2nd most massive tree in the world. He is said to be 2,000 years old. A president proclaimed it "the nation's Christmas tree". I recommend this family site for the splendor of the place and relaxation. Unmissable place to discover! ---------- Hello, this is one of the Sequoia biosphere reserves recognized by UNESCO. I dont know I never been there.
Take all the 5 NORTH then 99 north of Hay leaves in Visalia in 198 and from Hay it goes straight to the mountains
Too far in advance to be certain. Mother Nature has been crazy this year.
Hi Niky Alberto. Just bring your little cottage and mosquito repellent 😫 because there are many and I recommend you arrive night to dawn, the contact with nature is beautiful. This last time I went. It rained twice in the morning. 👍 I recommend it. Oh and you pay when you leave 🤗
We spent 2.5 days lots of hiking and got to Sherman tree , waterfall, caves, missed the giant tree museum and moro rock mountain!! So I say like 3 - 4 days it's worth it, awesome experience it's a must!! Going back next summer
Yes but check availability before planning the trip. We stayed in 3 rivers as well.
Not very deep, about 1 meter or 3 feet as the stability Comes from the fact that under the thin layer of soil the bedrock is found. Their root system spreads very wide so it is not advised and sometimes forbidden to get close to the trunk of the tree.
If you get in before the stations close
Now it's good. But.. It maybe different. So said even boss of tavern where I has rent snow chain . In the bottom and on t he top
You should check the snow level ... it's supposed to be opened but it depends if the roads are able to be used !
Given the seriousness of the government shutdown and that there are no federal park employees to manage restrooms (closed) and garbage (come on people, pack it out, duh), it's not a good time to have an enjoyable visit. All visitor centers are also closed. Give the parks a break while waiting for our wonderful National Park employees to deal with the terrible mess left behind from the uncaring. Sadly, some visitors are definitely choosing to ignore sensible rules and regulations that protect our most beautiful lands, wildlife and cultural heritage sites. And yes, there are road closures but because of the shutdown, park road information is not being updated. Also, when Sequoia/Kings Canyon NPs do open, consider adding a membership to the Sequoia National History Association or the Sequoia Parks Foundation while at a visitor center. Given the damage currently being done to our Park lands, all parks will need extra help from concerned visitors to aid in park recovery.
It is wonderful to be there, to breathe that fresh air, unparalleled experience!
Go on their website! They have up to date weather information and road closures.
It is beautiful, it has many curves if it gets dizzy, take those pills for seasickness. But it is something that can not be described how beautiful it is. Enjoy your trip!
Yes you can fish here, but don't expect any monsters. If you like hiking you can hike out to the lake and fish some beautiful brook trout. Or if you want bigger fish, try "hume?" Lake about an hour away from the campgrounds
Preferably comfortable clothes / tennis shoes, cool clothes for the summer, bring repellent because there are a lot of mosquitoes
Yes you have all week from the day you buy it
Supposedly Lodgepole campsite, where was the one I stayed like a week ago, has the most visits from bears. My wife was freaked out but I started seeing people camping in tents, cooking next to it, and small children doing hikings. I honestly felt safe. We stayed two nights. We didn't see any bear. I guess it's too many people camping hence too much noise for a bear to venture in the campsite. Just follow the guidelines and bring a bear spray just in case. I honestly wanted to see a bear.
Hi, dogs are not permitted on any of the trails. Here is what the NPS says, "Pets and Wildlife. For you and your neighbors to see and appreciate wildlife, please note that pets are not permitted on any trails at Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks. In campgrounds and picnic areas, pets must be kept on a leash at all times. The leash must be less than 6 feet (1.8 meters) long."
I think it will be open that day 4/7/18.
Yes
It depends from weather conditions. You can find current information at their website.
Yes. All of the National Parks such as Yosemete. Yellowstone, Sequoia etc. There is a entrance fee of 30 dollars per car. However if you get the annual pass for I believe 80 or 90 dollars it's good for the whole year for any national park in the USA
Zoom in, hold down the Control key & hit "P" to print.
There is a fee to enter the park if you're driving. The fee gets you in and it for a week.
I'm not sure. My guess would be no. I was there pretty recently at it was all closed down.
I'm pretty sure is still open i stayed at the Sierra lodge it has really good prices
They will be open. Bring snow chains and or be ready to rent them near by cause snow is expected on Saturday.
If you want to go, I can assure you that it is a fantastic place since you arrive at the entrance and start the ascent to the park, it is a landscape like a fantasy story and being together in the Secuoyas is an incredible unique experience
Agree 🤗🤗🤗
I was there 2 weeks ago, for sure Is open!
If fresno is the closest to drought but there are more hotels closer to 15 minutes ..
Campgrounds need reservations, day use is till dusk but roads are 24/7
The entire region is submerged in smoke and ash from the fires. I recommend checking the park's website or social networks.
Last week we went, but later they were evacuating all the people. !! 😏😏
I think so, for more security you can call.
Yes
Yes but I was very uncomfortable with the large number of visitors on the weekend. About 30% of them were not wearing masks.
It will be open to the public at 8:00 in the morning, so it is better to be early
Tou should check their webpage and the park number so they can clear your questions!
Awesome! thank you for your feedback(;
$$35 per car or $80 for a pass to most all federal parks, but be aware if you also plan on visiting Yosemite that you need to make a reservation (We learned the hard way.) Reservations are available 1 month in advance with a remaining 20 released 48 hours in advance. They go fast and are hard to get, there is a $2 reservation fee as well. But we did enjoy 3 days of visiting Sequoia National Park. Climed Moro Rock with my wife and 12yr old son (a must do), got to see NEOWISE comet from the mountain tops 2 nights in a row (a once in many lifetimes event). Saw a bear up close (within 30-40 yards) definitely unforgettable memories were made worth whatever hassles it takes to go. And give yourself several days there if possible, there is more there than can truly be appreciated in a single day.
I went 2 weeks ago and Park was open for visitors. Trials were open, but not the camping areas. Good luck!
If you go to the camping place in Crystal Lake, yes there you pay $ 12 and 5 for the second car
The park is open and free dispersed camping near Big Meadows Campground just a fire ban. Spent three weeks there enjoyed both parks
Sherman, tunnel tree, Moro rock, car log, kings canyon, general Grant tree, walk through log and a bunch of trails . Crystal cave is closed at the moment.
To the crystal cave if you pay. But the weekend I went it was closed
Not currently, if inside the National Park. Forest Service areas have RVs out there right now, but I know nothing about hookups.
It was open. Would try to call them in the morning, just to check. Things are happening very quickly
Pets are not allowed on any trails in Sequoia or kings. They are allowed in campgrounds if kept on a leash. Here's the NPS page on pets https://www.nps.gov/seki/planyourvisit/pets.htm
The park is open. Bring your van on July 5!
Yes
Its a national park
Todd is correct in all he told you and take heed about clothing and boots. If you have hiking poles take them as well or ski poles. Snow and ice are slippery!
The highest part where all the people arrive is 9000 feet high and from there up to be another 2000 or 3000 more
The land of giants.
The world will go on, life on the other hand changes with every breath
Yes, there is snow.
I went in mid July and there was still plenty of snow on the ground. The weather in March may bring snow which means you'd need all sorts of gear so you're prepared for everything.
Yes you can visit Sequoia National Park on Christmas Day. If it is snowing you must wear chains on your vehicle tires
Make your reservation you usually do it half a year in advance and clear tent sleeping bags mattresses food etc.
Yes this Parc never close but some area, for snow and ice reasons are more dangerous because of the snow/ice and the great altitudes. Chains may be required.
Check out the websit: https://www.nps.gov/seki/index.htm
Beautiful park giving you the opportunity to see trees as old as 3000 years. Must see!
If it should have snow, and the entrance costs 35 dlls per vehicle
Reservations are recommended...
They dont close the park. Its opened all the time. Dont miss to visit General Sherman tree. Enjoy your trip..👍
Yes, you can sleep in your car - IF you have signed into a campground. You cannot just pull over somewhere and sleep - although obviously, in parks like Death Valley you are more likely to get away with it.
I agree with Rick above
December is a tricky month. The park is open but be prepared for the worst possible weather. Food, water, blankets, extra clothing, and snow chains! Even a butane stove isn't out of the question IF you truly want to be prepared. And it is one of the most beautiful places you will ever see.
You can swim at Sequoia Lake too. Watch sign for warnings if there's any or better ask Park ranger for permission.
Yes, you can go around by car and also go by the wheelchair to see "general sherman"
Hello! Sorry! I don't know. By! Karl und Kerstin Richards.
The huge Sequoia trees are "everywhere". You can't help but be amazed.
Hi Lisa, we bought the "America the beautiful card" (80$ per vehicle) with which you can visit the majority of US parks. Duration: 1 year. Having visited 6-7 parks we saved a lot of money with that card! If you only want to visit Sequoia, it should be 35$ per vehicle or 20$ per person (if on foot or by bicycle)
That depends on where you are in the Park or Forest. It can be from 2,000 feet to 14,500 feet.
No, you do need to pay the $35 entry fee
Yes, you have to ask permission, there are several places but I thought they were all complete. That's why I think it's better to manage it in advance
February, March and April are good dates to see snow. The same more spring rn looks beautiful and very green
There are a lot of places dogs are not allowed. We brought our dogs several years back and we felt very restricted on what we could do. We were there the whole last week and we left our dogs with a sitter. We got to experience a lot more of the National Park without our dogs. We are animal lovers, but if you want the full experience, we recommend leaving them at home, if that's an option.
English please
Sequoia is 2000 meters high. If you want to fish the best will be to find another more accessible site. Maybe in Yosemite.
There are Camping area and hotels too but you have to make reservations in advance if you do not do it so then you will not get anything available. The ticket is worth $ 35 per vehicle. If you are very careful driving there because it is at an altitude of 6000 or more and the roads are very small and a bit dangerous. Take a sickness tablet and the tank is full before entering the national park because when you pay for the car at the entrance, you will still have an extra hour before reaching the top. If you drive do not drink because it is very dangerous. Now it is an unforgettable experience. The greatest beauty on the planet. I recommend it 100% I hope you enjoy it. Also the cell phone will not work in several parts of the park. Try to go very early in the morning because one is quite full and another that if you are late you can fuck the night and then to go out there is a nightmare because it is dangerous.
Many. Depends on how long you want to hike. You can see them on the park's website.
If there are some places near the river area and near the park
Entrance fee at park is US $35 plus camp permit fee is payable. You may use your car for sleeping.
Sequoia park entrance fee US $35 valid for 7 days
Absolutely, great for bikes. I agree with with Diego, narrow roads, hills.
And'
For the paved trails, yes, however I wouldn't recommend for natural trails.
And'
Not sure might want to call to verify...
Sunrise to sunset
I assume this park is not closed anytime?
I recommend RV Ranch where they can camp, I think it's cheap they can carry their tent or carry their campaign trailer, there's more to camp more up in El Bosque, only I know that El RV Ranch is safer ... You can look it up on Google and call for reservation ... look for it as Sequoia RV Ranch.
Most of the snow has melted. Carry chains for safety in high altitude areas.
You do not need reservations but you need to pay an entrance fee at the beginning so you can drive into the park the only thing that has reservations would be the hotel
The shuttles start running at 8AM. I believe Lodgepole Visitor Center opens at 7. We found it better to get out on the trails early before the crowds. The trails are always open.
Dogs must be on leash no longer than six feet at all times and are only allowed in developed areas such as campgrounds, picnic areas, and other areas open to motor vehicles. Pets areNOT allowed on hiking trails, public buildings, and backcountry areas.
Well We like to camp at tree Rivers camping ground and from there sequoia entrance is about 15 min , then visit crystal cove.....amazing and then redwoods .. Note: make appointment on line for crystal cove they take you down in grups of about 20 people..bring a sweater😉
Contact the Visitors center
Yes
California I think. Sequoia National Park is the best for them!
I miss the nice green trees the elevation nice little town in Springville the owners of Gifford store awesome people Al is very considerate of is costomer
The ones in Sequoia park are semper virens, the tallest is 275feet, the coastal redwoods grow over 300.
Hello it is possible to go camping or you have to book a hotel, there are several before entering the park.
Def don't need chains this time of year. Alta peak trail can be the best rewarding hike if the weather is right. It's not a beginners hike. I don't wanna spoil it but some breathtaking views of some beautiful landscapes
Oh yes, I believe its $35.00 per car and good for 7 days. Campsites need to be reserved online and often months in advance. They're all good trails it all depends on you level of fitness which one to take. Lastly, it's been snowing up there for a few days now and the last I heard when leaving the park 3 days ago, the road between parks and all access roads are closed and chains maybe required at anytime.
YES! Beautiful.
I think yes. I saw buses.
Go in South entrance, more to see, though north entrance has snow but longer drive until you get to trees and vistas. Many beautiful vistas right away on South end. Be sure to stop at general Sherman site and tunnel rock.
It's okay
We had a VW Passat there last week and was fine.
No, for the GPS do not worry, but the truth, live that experience in the best way is without a cell phone, only the camera to save that magnificent adventure.
They can reach 3,000 years each!
9.00 am
The trails are closed and cover in snow
No
You would have to use a campsite if you're wanting a campfire. No campfires allowed when you do remote camping because of wildfire risk. As far as the remote camping, you would have to call and ask specifically what the details are. Here is a link to the fees so you can get an idea how this place operates https://www.nps.gov/seki/planyourvisit/basicinfo.htm
Vehicle pass - $ 35.00 This pass is valid for 1 to 7 days and includes all those traveling in a single vehicle for the Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks and the Hume Lake District of the Sequoia National Forest / Sequoia Giant National Monument. You can buy this pass in advance at www.yourpassnow.com. https://www.nps.gov/seki/planyourvisit/fees.htm
Right now they do not take care of it but you can call for information
Central California and you can get in on either highway 198 off highway 99 or, highway 180 which is off the 41 Freeway in Fresno. If you are coming from the North it would be advisable to take the 41 Freeway to the 180. This is a very pleasant drive that will take you into Kings Canyon or, you can take the road between parks and circle around to the 198 back to the 99. Enjoy your visit.
I think you need chains .
for the monento almost everything is full of snow there are no places for camping but it is better to call to ask why all bia is snowing and much
Quite far apart, probably drive time of 3 to 4 hours
We were there last weekend. Beautiful but wish we wouldve waited till spring. We had whiteout conditions so road closures and long detours and ranger escorts down the sierras. Chains required even with 4x4 and AWD. I dont advise to go up there when snowfall is expected. I also heard it was snowing again from this weeks storm so just check your local weather channel for current conditions and 10 day forecast or Sequoia. Oh btw...we stayed at Wuksachi lodge..it was amazing and the staff are great but bc of winter season its really under staffed and very slow in service.
It's hard to choose but I would choose sequioa national park it is a must
check now.org for current warnings and other info. To my knowledge this site is updated frequently with details
Here you can ask what you want... Paul and Becky Bischoff at Sequoia Sightseeing Tours provide half-day tours of Sequoia National Park
It's not clear what you're asking. Do you want to drive a bus into the park? Vehicle size regulations are here: https://www.nps.gov/seki/planyourvisit/vehicle-restrictions.htm If instead you are looking to hire a commercial bus into the park, there are several commercial operators that offer service into the park from nearby cities.
At first I was a little hung up on stats (how tall and how old), which is very cool from a knowing standpoint. I then just starting enjoying the fact I was there walking amongst these majestic ancient trees that have withstood time.
It does not have lots of restrooms open and may not have trash collector or road maintain but it is safe if you have snow chains
Unfortunately I think the parks are closed, I went to the sequoia on the 31st and they only let me climb 4 miles up from the house but everything else was blocked.
Yes
No, not sure if you are being serious but it actually smells very good, when I was there air quality was outstanding.
During the federal government shutdown, we will not monitor or update social media. Some Sequoia and Kings Canyon areas are accessible; however access may change without notice, and there are no NPS-provided services. For more information, see www.nps.gov/seki.
Yes, check the website
Suggest checking their website.
Sequoias are the biggest in the US and redwoods are the tallest
Entrance Fees: Vehicle Pass - $35.00 This pass is valid for 1-7 days and includes everyone traveling in a single vehicle for Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks and Hume Lake District of Sequoia National Forest/Giant Sequoia National Monument. You can purchase this pass in advance at www.yourpassnow.com. Individual Entry Pass - $20.00 This entry fee is for a single person traveling on foot or by bicycle. It is valid for 1-7 days in Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Parks and Hume Lake District of Sequoia National Forest/Giant Sequoia National Monument. Non-Commercial Group - $15.00 Groups traveling in a bus or vehicle with a capacity of 16 persons or more are charged per person. People 15 years old or younger, drivers hired for transportation only, or anyone with a pass that may be used for park entry is exempt from paying the entrance fee. Commercial Group, 1-6 Passenger Capacity - $25.00 This entrance fee is for commercial tours of one or more people traveling on an itinerary
Yes
April or October
Not currently
Apparently, yes.
The Park service put out forest fires in the area which caused the leaves and other litter on the forest floor to be too deep for the Sequoia seeds to grow. They now control fires to ensure the health of the forest.
Can you translate your question in English maybe we can help you in this community? I'm sorry but I was there in summer. Although the park is at altitude 5000 ft I think it can be cold and maybe snowing during winter. Maybe you can ask it a ranger from the park in advance?
Yes ... there are hotels and restaurants
The giant Forrest museum in the Sequoia National park opens at 9am and closed at 6pm.
I do not know, but try in English?
I would think so.
Early Access
Sequoia National Park is located in Visalia, CA.
Yes $35 entrance fee for the day or $80 for an annual pass to all the parks in the nation
No snow up there... Campgrounds are open
Check first if park is open, as it is not open year round. Should be cooling down, especially at night. As far as bears go, if you are in a very remote part have a pot and spoon handy. Bang on that if you encounter a bear. Don't approach bears, especially is Cubs are around. Dont turn and run. Back up. They are more afraid of humans. Utilize bear lockers for food, throw your trash away in bear proof trash cans. Also rangers at any visitor center will give you all sorts of tips.
The roads here have 10 mph switchbacks and inclines. In my opinion you should double your estimated drive times to be sure you are on time for any activity you do im the park. Check the website suggested above for information on shuttle buses that run within the park. There are shuttles that take you from Moro Rock, giant tree Forrest, tunnel tree etc. They may not run in winter as they barely can pass another small car on the narrow 'roads". But park is beautiful and im sure snow covered trees will be a lovely sight for the holiday season. We stayed at Comfort in in the very close town of Three Rivers. Awesome breakfast buffet, hot tub, coffee all day and free shuttle to the park entrance (check with the front desk for shuttle season). Make sure you have full yank of gas before you hot the main highway to the park as there isnt much around.
As late as you want just have to pay when you leave if it's late when you pass the gate
October is unpredictable. It is rare that snow exists on roads at that time. It can however be cold so plan accordingly
Yup. There are still construction delays between the Giant Forest Museum and Three Rivers.
You should be able to. Some road works overnight.
Yes it open, suggest buy annual parks pass enjoy all parks often
Surely foothill visitor center is the closest one from LA or Texas and famous sequoia trees. I recommend that you park at the giant Sequoia museum, and take the park shuttle(free fee) and move to the general sherman trail. Then you can enjoy general sherman tree and congress trees
I was in Camp Nelson and the nearest waterfall from there is about 6.5 miles along highway 190. I wouldn't know towards 3 Rivers.
Nose to me ospede en hotel
No, but the ideal is to arrive early. On weekends it gets very crowded and there are areas that are closed to traffic and can only be accessed by shuttle. The shuttle service is very good and reliable, it is a good way to get around the park without worrying about parking in every place you go.
Sequoia National Park, for sure visit Crystal cave might be open... General Sherman Three,Morro climbing rock, and Grant grove is owesone and Yosemite is also beautiful too 4.5 miles to climbing from bottom to top and beautiful Creek but isn't true 30 miles away from each other.
Yes, you have to ask for authorization
There is a 22 foot vehicle length limit on Highway 198 (south entrance). I guess that includes trailer length, but, I'm not sure. Google "sequoia road restrictions" for current info.
Only the campgrounds. Winter storms close roads leading into the park. Weather varies from area to are due to high elevation.
I believe all are already booked. You can go to recreation.gov and look at all campgrounds and their availability.
You can drive up to it on the weekdays and take the shuttle on the weekends.
Google or siri or someone you know
I believe it can be done. It is worth it to get an anual pass and visit several parks thru the year.
It all depends on the season you go, you must visit the park site or call ahead as there is high demand and may not be available at the time you want to go, I hope it helps.
We had to pay $35.00
Leash only and only in certain areas. Same as all national parks. Service dogs are exempt and can go anywhere.
It is summer and that is the best time, I advise you to visit the park's website that constantly updates the information about which roads are closed, if there are fires, etc. Accommodation inside the park is not cheap, it is usually convenient to sleep in a nearby town and leave early for the visit. For example
From May 24th to September 9th, the access to Moro Rock is only available by taking a ride with the free park shuttle. Lines at the bus stop are long during holidays.
She thought so, I'm not sure why I didn't go
Yes on rv spots but no on full hook ups
$120 per night
The hwy between sequoia and kings canyon peaks @ 7000'. Most of the trees are between 4000 and 6000.
If there are specific camping areas
No. There is a risk of forest fire and another is the presence of bears.
Yes! It is pretty windy too and does take a while depending on which spot you want to visit. The sequoias only grow at a very specific height so there is only one way to go - up :)
Park never closes unless there are fires, snow or road maintenance which is usually announced. In fact if you go after 4 or 6pm there is no entrance fees. There are multiple overnight camping sites and park is a 24 7. Hope this helps
Yes, in the camping sections. Limited spaces. Call and ask for more information and size of the RV.
Over 2000 years
The park is very large so you decide how long you want to be there, each area you go through is worth enjoying.
Most of the campgrounds don't open till may. You probably should call or check the website before you decide when to go.
No and you need to get a fire permit if you want to have a campfire
The oldest are over 2,000 years old. There are many groves of Sequoia in the park, with varying species, sizes and ages of trees. A magic sacred place on earth.
Its pretty rainy right now so check the weather first. Unless u dont mind rain.
Even when the government was shut down the park was still open lol I had a blast that day
15 for walk in 30 bucks a day per car 50 for a season pass 80 for annual US national park pass
It really is the most beautiful area where the general tree is
If you have an all terrain car, I do not think there's a problem,
It's opened. I was there two weeks ago, no snow, no chains needed
There are many and I think there are ones or one that is around 2,000 years old
Yes. But you will need to enter from the hwy 180 side.
Yes
Yosemite was clear all the way through the pass in 2017. Saw no evidence of any upcoming construction or road blockages.
Open throughout the year but its better to come back from the park before sunset if going for one day trip.
Average 40F look up the weather for Wilsonia California it will give you an idea
Its open all year around but dangerous on the roads in the winter
15$ one person & 30$ one car
When I went there was none but there might be some now
I didn't see any when I was there... but I imagine there are some.
Hi hello right now, no ahy snow ... and to climb up the big trees, it takes about an hour are pure curves .. but you are stopping this very nice for the photos..ahy a very unique stone .. if you go when you take the photo in that stone you will deke te able .. luck and much care in the vajada..if you have a ban like mine 15 passengers.be careful ke not hot brake discs .. strong
Yes. Bcz the roads are very narrow and its risky to drive in the snow. Our car got stuck even when it was very low snowfall. Had to use chains to get it out
Yes, the park is open (New Year's Eve) the daytime weather is forecast to be partly cloudy and 30-40 degrees at the Giant Forest Museum and Lodgepole areas.
No there is not, but some trails are like hiking.

Yes depends on the weather but yes
It is in between Fresno and Bakersfield in central California east of Visalia just above Three Rivers
As far as I know pets are not allowed at Sequoia, they have signs stating it.
Go for an all year all parks access. If you want to visit throughout the various seasons, it is worth the money
There are trees that come down naturally or are brought down for safety. There are lots of fallen trees all throughout the park. If you find a tree down over a path, its always good to report it to the National Park employees if possible.
It is very nice to walk nose if you can hunt.
Thank you very much for the information Nicolás. Which route do you recommend?
Sequoia & Kings Canyon is more granite, and pine & sequoia trees that don't have the spectacular fall colors associated with trees that lose their leaves each season. The east side would provide more color, but it would still pale in comparison to a true fall color spectacle liked you're probably looking for.
I have been in a lodge inside the park. It was amazing but Christmas season you have to take care about the snow. They can close the park and you could not go trough. So think about it. ..
My wife and I usually go in August or sept. May and after are less crowded because of the cold nights. Middle of summer is too crowded and kinda hot.
Wuksachi Lodge is located in the Giant Forest area of Sequoia NP --- 2 miles from Lodgepole Village, 4 miles from the Giant Forest Museum.
When you check with the rangers about fishing permits, they can tell you where the river is safe, abd where the fish are biting!
Sorry I only speak English
are picnic areas reservation only or first come first serve ?
The tree got its name from the Cherokee scholar Sequoya (also known as George Guess), the inventor of the Cherokee alphabet.
Yes
30 Dollars to enter but if you want to camp have to do reservations on January for the next summer..have so many places to visit.and have public showers and a coin laundry shop, gift shop and small market.no idea of the price of the reservation cost but you should visit the website
Couldn't get cell service anywhere in the park. YMMV
It usually snows starting as early as September In the higher elevations. You can pretty much guarantee snow in November.
Yes! Open for scenic drives, hiking, snow fun and more year round.
Actually when we went last week it was FREE!!👍
The park is open 24 hours. Camp grounds and lodging were temporarily closed. Please check park wedsite for any new update.
Some rangers speak Spanish to train you do not need to reserve, to camp if you have to reserve, in winter they will be a few days
Ok thanks a lot
Yes, the park is open. I was up there last week. If you plan on going to see the big trees take tire chain for ice.
I think that in winter the vast majority of the park will be closed, since the park is on a fairly high place and it usually snows a lot. There is also often a lot of fog and poor visibility in the cold months. It would be advisable to visit it in spring / summer
It's 24/7 on the Visalia Ca side. It's where I come in
There are many picnic areas throughout the park
I do not remember
Parking lots are far from attractions. But there are trucks that take you as soon as you park. The only thing I recommend is that you go with plenty of time to appreciate everything.
