Does anybody know, if by law, can sequoia national park charge visitor that are going to visit and camp at the national forest? It is approximately a five-mile drive from the park entrance to the national forest. The forest suppose to be free to all

Yes there's a fee by car like any national park. $35 if I'm not mistaken

It is free if you walk in, but of you bring a car there is a fee just like all the national parks. The vehicle pass is $35 and is good for 7 days.

I recently visited Sequoia National park and some of the camping areas require a camping permit. But at the National Forest I am not sure. Just call the park and see what they can do for you.
