If you want to see the best of nature the there is Too much walking as many roads are closed, lots of areas are burnt down.. People without pass have to buy one time visit for usd 35 which seems to me way too high for this level of national park. But they do have frequent shuttle services for some places.

2022 Tips: To start, please be informed on all road and ground closures. There are closures depending on the season (usually winter), weather (if they’re expecting a storm) or day of the week (most areas are closed during the week) so I highly recommend checking before driving out. You can call their general phone number for automated updates but keep in mind it is very difficult to get somebody live on the phone. I recommend checking their website or getting in contact via social media if you have any questions. There are winding roads lasting ~20miles or so but they are fairly wide and have some sort of railing the majority of the way. My wife was so scared she could not drive so I had to take over. I had no issues. You should take snow tire chains if expecting snow. You can also take snow shoes if you’re planning to hike a bit Some roads are closed during winter but are accessible on foot. I believe there are chains and shoes for rent if you do not have your own. There is no wifi, cell phone reception, electrical outlet(s), fast food chains etc. so take anything you may need (eg portable chargers, generator, entertainment if needed, flash lights, gas stove, food etc) there are restaurants and snacks sold but restaurants can be closed depending on the day/season. Let me know if I missed something or if there are any questions! Have fun!

Absolutely delightful! Divine giant forest! Just makes us realize how small we are in the front of 2000yr old Sequoia trees! Congress and Sherman tree trails are easy for everyone and gives u glimpses of the giants! We had fun in the wolverton snow play area. Parking was easier last weekend but may get more crowded in coming weeks. There is still snow around above 6000ft to do snow walking.

Quite possibly the most beautiful place on Earth. Walking among the Giant Sequoias is an experience unlike any other, and something that needs to be experienced in person to be understood. If there was ever an area that so obviously deserves the protection of the National Park Service, it’s Sequoia.

Anytime. Late Fall to Winter, possible snow, which is a stunning aura. Summer is fairly cool in the forest.
There is a length requirement to get in the park its on the website
Yes. Preix of admission
If possible, I was with my family on September 6. Wear masks because they request them
Dogs are not permitted on any trail in Sequoia National park.
No.
I really don't know since I'm in Virginia at the moment.
I would find a park ranger person & go from there (assuming that the dog was tame & behaving normally, if not, I would note the approximate location, leaving the dog alone & still let the park ranger personnel address)
You can spend a lot or a little time actually in the park. Many of the sights are near or along the main road. The last time that I was there, I didn't have a lot of time. So I stayed on the main road, made a few stops and then kept going out the other end.
Hi. The pass for a private vehicle to drive in is $35. The pass is valid for 7 days. A walk in pass is $20. You can also get a yearly unlimited pass to every National Park for $80
Check a couple of days prior to you going on weather & road conditions.
Long time back.
There was a week ago.
You can't pan in National Park Service Land
At the entrance of the campground.
I am not sure, but most of the campground do allow firdy come first serve. It depends on the availability of the campground. If they are full, then they won't accept first come first serve.
It depends on which hotel you are booking.
Yes with a ca fishing licence. 15 and under don't need a licence
There is a Sequioa Shuttle service that will pick you up from few Visalia area hotels, Exeter, and Three Rivers.
The parks are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Occassionally, winter storms will close roads leading into the parks until they can be plowed.
Yes beautiful
Nope. There's a fee at the entrance like all National Parks unless you have a pass.
