I want to see fall colors, any tips on good trails/area of the park to see? I've been told the east side would be fall feel.

Sequoia & Kings Canyon is more granite, and pine & sequoia trees that don't have the spectacular fall colors associated with trees that lose their leaves each season. The east side would provide more color, but it would still pale in comparison to a true fall color spectacle liked you're probably looking for.
