This place is very clean and beautiful on the inside and I think it's great what they're doing helping animals.

Nice facility and friendly staff. Got a new furry friend.

Nicole Kass, shame on you for satisfying some petty vendetta on Google reviews in order to make yourself feel better! ESPECIALLY SINCE YOU HAVEN'T VISITED THIS SHELTER IN AT LEAST 3 YEARS, IF EVER!!!!! The rescue industry is difficult enough without trolls like yourself trashing shelters and rescues that want the best for the animals they take in. You should be ashamed of yourself. Not to mention it's against Google TOS to post in poorly due to competition. Want to see what this shelter actually does? It saves animals who have no shot anywhere else. I adopted my tripod cat here. He was less than 6 pounds when he should have been 12, covered in serious wounds. His front leg was completely mutilated. ANY other shelter would have euthanized him, but the SPCA saved his life, performed a costly amputation surgery after trying to save the leg, and then adopted him out FOR ONLY $10. This cat would be dead if not for the SPCA, it's amazing medical staff, and it's adopters/fosters. The pics are of his intake photo, when all he would do was cower in a ball of pain and fear, and him now.
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
Well go by there and ask if they have cat or kitten for adoption
Best way for this to happen is to have volunteers. You have to consider that you are able to get dogs and cats for very cheap and sometimes even $5 or $10. The turnover is very quick but yet it is not quick enough to save all the animals so there is likely just not enough manpower or time.
Call the police or animal control...what Stacy Miller said...
Adoptions for cats are generally $10. You would have to go in person to see if any are declawed. The times I've been to visit, I've only ever seen one declawed cat. But please reconsider on the declawing, it's so inhumane. There are little rubber caps you can have put on your cats nails instead and they're so cheap. Hope this helps!
Currently yes. When you go to the website hit adopt. Then you'll see a tab on the side that says dogs, cats and small animals. Hit small animals and you will see if there are any for adoption. Right now there is a black Dutch rabbit (male) for adoption. They are $25. You also can just go to adopt and scroll all the way down and you will see the small animals at the bottom. I have adopted two bunnies from there.

You could either sell him/her on Craigslist or take him to the SCPA but I think there's a fee.
Go to shelter and see if someone turned him in..Or put something outside he can smell and see if he will come home in a couple days..He may not be far away from home go outside and call for him as much as possible..
Petco or pet smart or any pet store.
Take them to the ASPCA and they will help them find homes..
Check The website of available animals or you will have to call the SPCA..
You’ll have to make an appointment, but I don’t understand why you would give up your dogs :(
Call them and will give you the price my kitten was $10...I'm quite sure you can bring your Dog to meet the new Dog you want to adopt besides they have the Dogs and Cats screened out anyway. Those who get along with other Dogs and those who Dont..etc...
Yes, they take drop offs.
I took four babies in two weeks. Ago they said no kill if they lied to me I'll sue
Please go and adopt. The SPCA lost its contract with Hamilton County and will be closing soon. They need to find homes for all the dogs and cats as they will not be able to hold them.
At certain times they get very busy just have to be patient
If you want to do a meet and greet with a certain dog to make sure they get along, absolutely. Just to socialize your dog, no.
Not sure maybe call them
This is not actually the SPCA this is Google and we are local guides however I do know quite a bit about the SPCA. they often times do have seen your pets if there are many rescues in the area and if you don't find what you're looking for at the SPCA just searched out some other rescues and give them a call. And thank you for not only going through rescue route but for desiring a senior animal, you must be a very special person.
I don't know about small puppies, 1-2 years yes, at both locations
Call them, there are fees associated with the return of your animal.
There are so many babies out there.that need a home to love them. Not because of the breed 🐾💟🤗
Spcacincinnati website. Not all dogs are listed, but most.
They have many types of dog so usually yes they have a few small ones.
I have a small miniature poodle/chi mix if you are interested
I'm under the impression that it is a separate organization that maintains the site and it is often out of date. Swing by from time to time. It's a very nice facility.
Call Spca and report it they will investigate
Yes also park services
Yes not sure the cost you'll have to call. Sorry
Big dog promotion right now any dog over 35lb is only $5. Normally $40 with license
P
If it's a stray they don't charge you.
No. They are not a harbor facility, they are a surrender facility. Once you surrender your dog you give up all rights.
Jared...I would visit your local spca facility near you in person...volunteer and discuss your fund raising options with mgmt...cheers...ziggy
You do not have to make an appointment; we are open from 12pm until 6pm everyday except for major holidays. You may also want to visit our website to see what dogs are available. Hope to see you soon.
Hello Tammy, thank you for reaching out to the SPCA Cincinnati. Currently we do not since it is not kitten season (which is usually in the spring) You can always check our website at spcacincinnati.org as a few may sneak in. You may also call 513-541-6100 and our customer service representative may be able to assist you further.
Hello Pam, we are very sorry to hear about your sister, and we wish her well. Please call our Managed Admissions Department at 513-541-6100 and they will be happy to assist you with George.
Please check the website at spcacincinnati.org
YES!!!! They are listed on our website or you can come into the facility at 11900 Conrey Road, we are open from 12-6pm.
You can go to their website spcacincinnati.org and see what animals are avaliable for adoption. Then, make an appointment to go in and meet them. All animals up for adoption have been spayed/neutered, have all their shots, and come with flea/tick medicine.
During business hours they do
They should be able to find them homes and fix the mom
I never had a problem with them answering the phone, as long as you call during hours
On September 4th, 2019, the SPCA Cincinnati began mirroring nationally recognized animal welfare industry procedures and made the decision to operate as a “managed admissions” facility. This program improves and streamlines the relinquishment process for pets. To speak to one of our staff members about surrendering a pet, please call our shelter at: 513-541-6100 ext. #2058. Please advise that you must call and have an appointment before showing up at the shelter with your animal.
No only to return. Make sure if you have pets at home that there pet they are adopting out to you is not aggressive.
A letter from ur doc is all U need
No, you'd need to call them to schedule an appointment to surrender the dog and bring it in at the scheduled time.
Try UCAN for the surgery and you can do shots (except rabies) by purchasing them at Rural King or Tractor Supply.
It is typically $40 total. The is because it is $20 for adoption, and a required $20 registration fee by the county for $40 total. Most of the dogs tend to be a year and up, but with intake and adoptions that can change for day to day.
The Hamilton County Dog Warden is located on Colerain. The SPCA Cincinnati did not accept the contract, so we no longer have a location at Northside. Hope to see you at our Sharonville shelter.
Call around
We just transported some from the Hurricane affected areas of our country. They are on a "First Scheduled, First Adopted" process. Please visit our website at https://www.spcacincinnati.org/adopt/ for a list of our adoptable pets and to schedule an adoption time. Thanks
Is the Momma cat around? "Momma knows Best". For help with un-weened kittens, please visit our Kitten site: https://www.dontkitnap.org/
Hi Allen, Sorry to hear about your loss. Furry Family-Members are very special. We hope you are at peace. We do accept unused food and toy donations. We are able to use them in our shelter and to help our Foster Families caring for our pets. At your convenience, you may take donations to our shelter in Sharonville. All Our Best,
They. Always take in pets. They would like a donation.
Call SPCA and ask. All pets are viewed by appointment only.
If the animal that was dropped off is still in their facility and has not yet been adopted, I always thought that if you called and ask for the well-being of the dog or if it has been adopted, they should be able to answer that question!!! Unless there is a rule that I'm not aware of.
Don't think so. Just dogs and cats
They had pretty many when I was there
Try an animal shelter
For what
I'm not sure at this time u can always go to one of the shelters to look rite happy Valentine's day for u rite
Unknown give a them a call or check official website. Good luck
The spca is the perfect place start there first
Have no ideal no u can adopt animals there they open at 12:00 noon to 6:00pm k thank u rite
I'm not sure?? Because you have to go through a whole orientation thing.
I would say check the SPCA website and see if there's a phone number you can call just see if your dog is still there
Call and see if they are open. I would think since it's a voluntary store that it might be closed. But its worth the wait. I absolutely love this shelter
I can't have another dog, but think it may help yours if you could describe him/her?
$15 or $20. Its very cheap. In my opinion they make it too cheap. Most of there dogs are pits and pit mixes. These babies need a loving home with someone who understands the breed.
I don't think it costs anything to hand them off. I would call ahead..
There are lots of kitty rescues in Cincinnati along with the SPCA. Check with vets they may know of someone.
I'm not sure of names, I do remember a Bruno, call them or check the web site they have a listing of the animals at both shelters.
Usually 40.00 but at special events it could go as low as 5. They take in consideration that owning a dog is going to be a responsibility and they try to make it affordable as possible since there's obligation of food and everything else.
Go in find a dog or cat and pay and go
At the SPCA the animals are given their shots and medical treatments before adopted and depending on who you choose to use as your vet, shot prices vary. There are some discount vets that the SPCA can recommend.
I'm not really sure but call the Sharonville SPCA they handle the small animals. They do have some rabbits and guinea pigs now. Good luck.
They usually have them in the front, but they don't have many more big dogs then anything. Smaller ones are really hard to find.
They do take cats and I think some weekends they take them for free if they have the room and depending on which location. You'll have to call and check. I hope I was helpful.
Don't believe so, but I would call to be sure
Check out the SPCA in sharonville on conray Rd. They have more small breeds. And there are some rescues you can Google. Good luck 👍
No, the colerain location is considered Northside
No you can usually get your pet back. It's not normally a problem.
I don't know what the charge is. I do know that the county is not renewing the SPCA contract and they have to close by the end on August. They will not be able to hold any animals and have to find other homes for them or euthanize them.
I agree with Audrey. When I was there a couple of weeks ago, most of the dogs were pit bulls. No puppies. If you don't have luck at the SPCA, you might want to try asking on Social Media.
Regina I know they groom and do rabies shots, unsure about cuts.
I would call and ask.
Hi Brendakay. All of the adoptable dogs are listed on the SPCA website which is www.spcacincinnati.org. There are pictures of nearly all of them.
I'm not sure what you're asking, I'm going to guess and say that you're asking when you can take your dog in to surrender it. They take dogs anytime
They might have that info on the website. Last time I was there they didn't but I imagine that the inventory changes.
You would have to call and ask it may be the same as a small dog or cat but I would still call.
They should have them, or a pit mix.
They have an area for big dogs and an area for small dogs... I'm sure due to adoptions and rescue it changes daily.
Probably as many as you can give them it's just they're going to charge you a fee for each one
Well, they do kill dogs. I'm not sure about the protocol, but it's probably after no one adopts them for a while.
This is just random people on Google I'm pretty sure, you would need to call them!
No
They won't come pick them up unless they are stray animals you have to take them to the dog drop off on the side street entrance of the SPCA.
No
I'd call ahead. They do have a place in the back where you can bring in an animal, but I'd call first.
Not sure I'm a volunteer
not sure bought my wife a dog for v day best pet we ever had
Sophia, I believe that it's about $40. I got a leash and collar too, and the sum was about $50. My dog was up to date on all shots, as I imagine all are there. He also has a microchip.
There one in Clearmont somewhere Google it. Using terms no kill shelter. Sorry couldn't help more.
I doubt they will hold them, so don't think you can use them as a kennel
Very nice place and very clean they try to help you
I believe so if not i think that they do it for 20 dollars ...but i do think that they are
It must be a reason why the dog is still there after the allowed time. You can definitely ask about it at the front desk.
They have low prices
They are indeed very lax on what they require from adopters. I believe it is just identification, you may or may not have to fill out an application form and the fee is $40. I've also volunteered there and this is to Jessica, the dogs are as well taken care of as they can be and they're never intentionally mistreated. There is overcrowding but the SPCA serves an amazing purpose by accepting any dog, they rescue strays and they take owner surrenders. They also asked questions of the owners that are surrendering to find out why they're surrendering in case they can do anything to help like if you can't afford vet care or dog food then they put you together with resources.
all animals that are available change constantly so sometimes yes and sometimes no. As you might imagine smaller animals are very popular with people with younger children. One of the beauties of the SPCA is that their selection changes all the time and the prices are extremely reasonable but there are inconveniences too. You have to go in on a regular basis and check or at least check their website.
First of all thank you so much for taking in this kitten! To answer your question the most important thing is patience and allow her to adjust in her own time, never force her to let you pet her or approach her or any other thing we as humans see as loving and frightened little kitties see as threatening. Continue to send out a confident secure energy and above all things do not worry. All animals pick up on those emotions and it translates to them as something to be afraid of... And you obviously don't want her to think that. Speak sweetly softly and lovingly to her from across the room or even if she's in another part of the house provide little treats at her feeding dish and leave her be until she comes out to explore. I wish you the best and if you have any more questions go ahead and ask right here and I will do my best to answer. :)
The SPCA is required by law to take any animal that is turned in. They charge a fee you'll have to call them to find out what that fee is. their goal is to keep animal and owner together so they will ask questions to find out if it's a landlord issue, affording food or a vet care issue and things like that.
Definitely call, go in and or check website
This is not the SPCA, this is Google guides and we are just local guides answering questions about businesses. You need to call them to find out specifically what animals they have
Check every Tuesday. They come from other pounds around Cincinnati. I actually have one. He is 8 months old. Shorthaired Brindle Has all his shots. Neutered. His name is Baby because that is exactly what he acts like. I got him from the pound 5 months ago. He's a sweetie pie but I'm going to be moving soon and where I'm going no pets are allowed. He likes to snuggle every morning and during nap time. Likes to be right under you.
Check out Roller at spca
Lol sure to can
You can't just drop them off. You need to turn them in. The process is about 15 minutes and you will need to show proof of ID. It costs money to turn in an owned animal but strays are no charge (to an extent). In both cases you need to be a resident of Hamilton County.
If they are owned animals, I believe its $30 for the first and $10 for each additional. My information is dates though.
Call the spca
What is code red?? There are summaries about each dog on the website..
I believe so, I know that access to fresh water is absolutely a requirement and evidence of being fed.
I believe all dogs are $40
How much is the fee to turn them over, I have to move somewhere where there's no pets allowed so I have no choice but to give them up... I've tried everywhere.. Nobody will take em..
Yes they open at noon
There are dogs of all sizes, including small.I'm sure there is the perfect one for you just waiting to have a nice home.
Poor puppy i feel for any dog there an then to be adopted an taken right back is heart breaking to me i can only imagine how the pup will feel. Im not bashing u or downing u just wish ppl did more research on the dog they are getting. My boy got bad sick i HAD to surrender him an they wont even tell me if hes dead or alive. I hate that place witj a passion
You would have to call the SPCA to get information like that I don't think SPCA answers questions on Google Maps. Might try their Facebook page too.
Of course they are but you'll need to go to their website
Everything you need to know about volunteering plus the application is on their website
I don't know exactly. From experience I'm sure they charge different rates depending on the desirability of the dog. I heard that dogs like pitbulls are very inexpensive. I guess inexpensive is a relative term but they will certainly be less than some of the smaller shelters
Yes they do, drop off opens at noon.
If it's a stray we don't charge anything
Please call them to find that out.
No we do not, I work there.
OK you
As far as I know they only carry dogs and cats
We've been taking both of our dogs to the VCA in College Hill including one we rescued from SPCA. The vets at VCA are terrific.
Call the individual county animal welfare... they may know numbers of no-kill shelters for their areas
I'm not sure. The best thing to do is call them and ask
There are a few ways to foster, go through the volunteer program and you will understand the process, otherwise, yes, please fill out the application online and submit. Thank you very much for your interest and support.
Different breeds and there's always new ones added everyday. I adopted my boy there in February but I only looked at the adult dogs so didnt see what breed of puppies they had but in adult area most of the dogs there at the time was pitbull mixed. And i can and will say that my 2 yr old American pit i adopted there has been the best dog I have ever been around and they do have papers hanging on kennels with all the information about the dogs they have to help you find one and what you would like to have in a dog.
Call them there open
Ucan is the only one I know, sorry
I'm not sure about that, but you could call them to find that out
Can't answer for spca but Pet Search & Rescue Cool Critters outreach Lousie's Legacy May help with your problem
Call them they would do it really awesome people
I would call them and see if they will reduce the price. I take many strays and because of that have been given a voucher for $5 per cat.
SPCA will help find the dog a new home. I have two dogs from there.
You have to live in Hamilton county to bring animals in. There is a fee for surrendering animals if they are not considered strays.
Call the shelter directly
As far as I know they wont take them but take them to Animal house they will take them
That's a little too specific question to ask via maps, it would Be Best To Go To the Shelter, they would love To SEE you! Great people
A call to the shelter would be the best course of action to take.
Yes. They have to be before adoption can happen.
It'll go fast. Puppies are at a premium.
They do not. Contact you local police department through non-emergency services as a public distubance/nuisance. If the believe the animals are not being treated well, the will involve SPCA. Otherwise they will give the owners a warning. A Second visit will result in a citation.
You can surrender the dog to them. If it's healthy and doesn't have aggression problems, they'll try to find a home for it. They will try bit there are no guarantees.
No you'll have to take it to them
$50. Call ahead to schedule please!
I adopted a sweet, 5 lb. Maltese there in January, and she's a really wonderful dog. Just keep checking...
Just call them they will explain
I thought the age was 21. It might depend on the shelter but everywhere I’ve gone the age is 21.
You can always look on their website to see what they have up for adoption, but best to go there yourself to see how you like the dog in person and if the fog likes you. You might me suprise you may see something you want but go home with another because they can win over your heart by meeting them in person. It is highly recommended you go there yourself, and if you don't see anything you like there are always adoption at pet stores every weekend.
Differenr breeds come in to the shelter every day practically. Who knows? You might someone else that's a great companion and needs a forever home. Good hunting!
They have a program for low income spay and neuter. I know it's 50.00 for a cat.
Yes, believe it or not, I actually saw some other breeds.
Call them
What are small LA dogs?
To find out if the SPCA has puppies you need to either call or go down and look for yourself the never take the word of anybody because it changes on a daily basis down there good luck
They have all kinds of dogs your best bet is to go there and take a look for yourself you can walk around and look at the dogs if you see one that you think you might like tell someone and they'll let you get it out or they'll get it out for you so that you can visit it they have a side yard that you can go into
If they don't have what you are looking for there are no kill shelters all over Cincinnati who have kittens. Just goggle and you will kind a few.
Call the police
They are all 20 dollars they come nuterd and with basic shots minus rabbie shot but they give you coupons to get that done. For me that was an additional 10 when I found time to do it
U can in camp Washington is very affordable. U can has a clinic every Friday. U can i believe you show up for clinic at 8 am .
Go to their website they have little bios for adoptable dogs might just find what youre after
You have to call or go in to look for your dog if you are missing one.
Give them a call
Yes
The cost 20 bucks you'd have to call to see if they have kittens they usually do
Its $20 if you live in Hamilton county, more if you live elsewhere, I think $30 or $40
Yes they do, though dogs get adopted out and others are surrendered on a regular basis, so its best to actually go to the shelter to see which dogs are available
Yes they have puppys, if you get one remember this is a life long obligation.
You can take your dog to Noah's Ark on Colerain and they'll see your dog right away
Go with a male, dominant females don't usually do as well with other females
No
Please consult your Vet. Cause we all have Unprofessional opinions and then there's the youtube Dr's with all the home remedies. Do not harm your dog, or cat, any pet.
I don't think so. There is a $20 fee to drop off animals but I think they will even waive that if necessary.
Yes
I think you have to bring your pet yourself. Just give them a call and ask...
No they don't. I had my cat 2 days and I came home from work and she was lifeless
If I'm not mistaken I seen it on Fb that they're only charging $25 for shots and spaying/neutering.
