Wonderful place to go with the family. Really enjoyed our visit there. Would have loved to stay longer.

Visited for a "Walkabout". Basically, we got a tour of the "Botanical Garden" aspect of the zoo. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff! ❤️

A very nice zoo. Lots of room to walk and lots of shade. Hippos are a blast to watch. Go there a few times during your visit. Download a map and plan your movements. The only negative is the parking process...you pre-pay and show your code on the way out which causes a slight delay. There are a few hills and it may be difficult for some to get around.
Buy tickets on line and you'll save.

I love the Cincinnati Zoo!! I've been going here my whole life, and it never disappoints. Compared to other zoos I've been to, I think this one is logically laid out, with enclosures close together so there's not too too much walking. (That said, I did get 10,000 steps in by seeing every exhibit!)
I went in early November, which was great weather for it! The rhinos and a couple other animals weren't out, but most of them were! All the animals were awesome. If you go see the kangaroos, you get to walk into the enclosure with the kangaroos!! Pretty sweet.
I also love knowing how much the Zoo does to be green and sustainable! They recycle their water, have many solar panels, and make lots of other efforts to be kind to the earth.
Some of the animals are out and visible but others are not. The cat house and reptile house are closed after 5 when it becomes free. But there are a lot of flowers and very park like. Enjoyable time to be had.
Absolutely! Although, I will want you the zoo has a pretty big hill that can be rough to push up without a good stroller. You can rent them there as well
Job applicants must be 21 or older. The zoo offers a variety of career opportunities including internships, food and service, as well as Veterinarian, Event Managers and Customer Experience coordinators.
The Safari Camp entrance is right by a picnic tables area. We were easily able to go get our lunch from the car, take it in for our picnic, and return everything to the car before continuing our day.
Yeah I'm wondering the same thing. Its not enough time to visit the whole zoo. You don't have time to actually look at all the wonderful animals an habitats. My guess is cleaning up the zoo an taking care of the animals.
As of April 2019: Prices generally range between senior/child fees and adult fees ($9 USD to $19 USD). The prices decrease and increase depending on traffic in the zoo (on quiet days less expensive, which would be throughout the weekday and more pricey on weekends). Savings offered on groups.
Parking is $10.00 USD. However I went in the afternoon and there was no parking fee.
The zoo is open daily rain/snow or shine, cold or hot--even inclement weather!
Copy the following link into your browser and check out more on admissions. Or you can simply search Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden and pull up their website for more information. Thank you and best of fun in your zoo adventures!

Yes! Her name is Moe and you can find her in the Discovery Forest. Sometimes you have to really look for her, she wanders the trees and she also has a few baskets scattered about that she lays in.
We bought it with our ticket on the day we went, so I don't know about buying it once you're there. I do recommend going to the 4D theater. I didn't know what to expect, and it was outstanding.
The zoo is open year round. Hours change a bit depending on the time of year (open later into the evening during Festival of Lights) but are generally 10am-5pm (truly open at 9am but the first hour is usually reserved for early entrance for Gold Members).
Even if you are not a member, reservations are not required, they are suggested. If you just show up and there is room, they will let you get a ticket. The gamble is, if you go on a weekend, there may not be room. Timed ticketing is genius and should stay around forever though. All venues are better with it in place.
I'd say about 3-5 pm is best. Closer to 5. Bc for most of the year ( besides the festival of lights ) that is closing time & most likely feeding time......so the animals can go back into their enclosed places. They are really active. & Most likey bc there is not a ton of people or kids . Even in the heat of the summer....... I go there alot in the afternoons , & most of the animals. Big cats, giraffes, etc; are really active

As long as you want... the timed tickets help cut back on the crowd at the entrance but the zoo is so big once people get in the crowd isn't as bad... you should bring as mask though just for the crowded exhibits like the new roo valley, seeing the giraffes and Fiona and the few indoor places thats open (e.g. insects and manatees)
Yes by all means take your cooler. Water is $3.50 a bottle or better. Food is also expensive. Just remember there are a lot of Hill's to walk. So bring a wagon for your grandchildren.
Yes, no glass or alcoholic beverage. I pack a lunch load the cooler up and take it straight to the picnic area. I actually leave the cooler in the picnic area and walk around. Then come back @ lunch. No problems at all
Can you gey a discount membership with a EBT card?
sarah fields | Nov 5, 2019
Maggiemay Smith | Nov 5, 2019
Yes I had a friend that used her card and got one for $40 it's good for 2 named adults up to eight children you get discounts on food and drinks and free parking
The day me and my girlfriend went it was 11.50 a person. And I tell you this. All the rude people not watching their kids kinda ruins it for you. There were more kids running around then there were animals in the exhibits.
Just so people know, Wi-Fi is basically everywhere at the zoo, so it's easy to work pretty much anywhere. Just find a bench with shade and you are good.
We're just there and some of the habitats were closed for renovations. But it was a nice day and they were active. Just be ready for some construction.
Yea Norma They Want Full Funds For A Membership 🤗
They Feel As If That's Your Decision To Purchase Tickets At That The Moment Entrance Instead Of Getting The Membership 😚😚😚
Adults are $17 online or $19 at the gate, children or seniors are $12 online or $13 at the gate, $2 off children's tickets and $3 off adults' tickets if bought by military member or first responder. Must have valid military or first responder ID, tickets must be purchased in person. Parking is $10. That means that if you had four adults and one child with military discount, your total before tax would be $88. I would suggest getting a pass if you intend to go again within a year of purchase.
Come for the animals, stay for the garden. They all exist beautifully together, so come on down and learn what the word 'interspersed' looks like in action.
Yes, family membership, that's 2 adults and any children in the house under 18. It includes parking, but not the unlimited rides on the train or carousel.
If you are considering buying a pass its well worth the money- as Delores mentioned, they are open at 9am for passholders and 10am for non members, every day except Christmas and New Years day. The zoo experience changes here with the seasons, as not all animals are out all year.
The best time to catch Fiona, from my experience as a pass holder, is early! Before 10am if possible.
She has gotten to popular that soon she will have her own show. Viewing will inevitavly change when that happens. 😊
I can recommend Hampton Inn and Suites. It's a very good hotel with swimming pool, spacious rooms, good breakfast. And about ten minutes walking distance from the zoo.
All buildings are open during the winter and the Cincinnati zoo in my opinion is better than the Detroit zoo as I've been to both multiple times. You can also look it up and see some differences and ratings and rankings from each zoo as Cincinnati zoo is ranked number one zoo worldwide.
I'm not sure. But they generally have little signs at the base of trees and plants. They also are great amount answering plant questions. If you call they will probably get you to someone that knows the answer. You can also try the Picture This phone app.
Presuming the weather is good and you are wearing your best sneakers for walking and that physically you are able to walk the whole zoo, maybe 6 hours to see the whole thing. Make a day of it --- Cincinnati has a GREAT zoo. Pack a lunch and a small cooler of Gatorade & water in a stroller-- food can be pricey. ENJOY!!
Tickets are different prices depending on the day. Sundays adult tickets are 21.50 and childrens tickets are 15.50. You have to reserve your tickets ahead of time as well, and a 10.00 fee for parking. Masks are required as well.
What type of fees? You do pay parking and admission (must buy admission tickets in advance as only so many are sold during certain block times). Food, snacks, and drinks are available for purchase. There are some other experiences available for purchase also, like face painting.
We got to pay 8 dollars for 2 romane leaves to feed the giraffe but were not aloud to pet it because ot could "bite" but all the giraffes had their top teeth removed so would have gotten half bit half gummed
Not that I'm aware. But they do only allow so many people to visit. Which is why you have to make a reservation. When my family and I visited, it was on a Saturday and it wasn't crowded at all.
When we went, tickets online were $20 for adults and $10 for parking. There was a $3 service fee.
Does it have electric power wheelchairs?
sandra shepherd | Nov 4, 2020
Mike Elliott | Nov 4, 2020
Yes, electric wheelchairs are available to rent while you're at the zoo! Electric wheelchair rental is $30. They also have them available with canopies above them for $40. That pays for the rental for the day, regardless of how long you stay. For more information check out CincinnatiZoo.org and check out the rentals section under where you purchase tickets.
Per the zoo: "Please arrive within the 30-minute window that’s on your reservation confirmation. If you’re early, please wait in your car until your scheduled entry time. Arriving after the 30-minute window will result in having to be rescheduled into an open time slot. If there is no availability, your visit may have to be rescheduled for another day."
They had no choice. It was terrible and a dark day for one of the greatest zoos in America. But what everyone seems to miss, is they saved the life of a small child who got into the gorilla enclosure and was being held by Harambre.
Some of the animals are out. The zoo is also creative in that they have specific animals out just in the winter time that live in colder weather climates that you wouldn't see at the zoo during the warmer months. They also have a number of interactive exhibits with zoo workers that you touch the animals throughout the zoo at indoor spaces.
Is the 4D experience worth the extra $? We don't have little kids so not sure we'd ride train or carousel
Jupiter the Argentine Tegu | Nov 5, 2019
James Hensley | Nov 5, 2019
The 4-d experience is short....but alot of fun... especially on a hot day!!!! That's all I'm sayin...you have to experience it for yourself...don't miss it. The train...kinda cheesy....more kiddy ride.. .yet you see whole zoo in a glance.....cheesy....but worth it...at least once.😀
$22.00 for adults. We bought the inclusive year pass. The Platinum was $299.00 that allows up to 8 guests to participating zoo's across the country. Inclusive means unlimited train and carousal rides.
How much does it cost to get in for a day with 2 adults and a two year old?
Kayla Mabry | Nov 5, 2019
N C | Nov 5, 2019
Ticket pricing and purchasing can be found here: http://cincinnatizoo.org/plan-your-visit/tickets/
Right now, general admission adults' (13-61) tickets are $20, and children's tickets are $14. Seniors' (62+) tickets are also $14.
Buying tickets at your local Kroger Customer Service desk saves $1-2/ticket. Sometimes friendly zoo members will help you out and offer to get you in at 1/2 price. :) Parking at the zoo is $10. If you don't mind a walk, there is nearby street parking.
No dolphins; NEVER rub a dolphin's belly btw. Check out the Chinese Alligators, you can get a really close look at them. The one exhibit that outshines the Newport Aquarium is the Manatees. Very informative and they're "catch and release". 👍
So I do know that all exhibits and facilities are handicapped accessible, so that's great. The Zoo has standard wheelchairs and electric wheelchairs for rent, but prices are not available on their website. But I know they have limited amounts, so make sure to call ahead and check before arriving.
Yes, a couple different varieties in separate locations. I just saw both varieties last week when visiting. Depends when you go, you may also see eggs and babies.
Anywhere from $11 (child or senior on off days) to $24 (adult peak time). Parking $10 extra. There are optional add on things like train ride/3d theater. Discounts available like through AAA. check the price calendar here: http://cincinnatizoo.org/plan-your-visit/tickets/
Q: How do I replace a lost or damaged card?
A: There is a $7.00 fee for lost or damaged membership cards. Please contact the membership office to pay by phone or visit Member Services on your next visit to replace your cards.
tomorrow is open?

Pl verify by telephone enquiry.
Can you buy personalized Christmas ornaments there?
Print it. It's cheaper and incase you buy at the gate watch out for the guys who sell you the ticket. They will. Make you waste money. It's so huge you won't cover everything less you go early so get just the tickets with no shows and then carry cash in case for example you want to feed the girrafe etc. You will save money. Just a means of making you pay for something you won't even get to.
I got 2 tickets for X-mas last year that say "2017 PNC Festival of Lights admission ticket" with a price of $17.00 and expiration date of Dec 31, 2018. Can I use the tickets this weekend or do I have to go during the festival of lights?
April Hullinger | Nov 5, 2018
Michael Kean | Nov 5, 2018
Most likely anytime they have the display showing.
Yes the zoo is open every day of the year except for Christmas. On Christmas day its close
Can you use columbus zoo pass for any discounts
Michelle Stapleton | Nov 5, 2018
Michael Dawson | Nov 5, 2018
They used to do the reciprocating zoo membership discount. I don't know if they still do, but we used it. No parking discount though. Their website will say so.
I think it was $5, but it is not worth it. Save your money and buy a souvenir. We did the train for a family of 6, and barely saw the zebra and we saw ducks.
Can you reserve a scooter??? Yes or No????
And also.... what time of day is the best to experience Fiona? ❤
Carolyn Cross | Nov 5, 2018
Roni Robbins | Nov 5, 2018
I was there this past Monday from 12ish till 2:30. The entire time I stayed with her because she and her Mama were so fun!! Some days it's like that some days she sleeps a lot. My suggestion is... Of she is not awake when you are first there come back in an hour or so to see if she is awake. Scooters I am not 100% on. Go to the web site, they may have info on that.
From their website: "General Admission to the Zoo. These tickets are valid any regular operating day until 12/31/18, including PNC Festival of Lights."
I think anytime is a good time. Fall and spring will have better temperatures, but can also be more rainy. In the summer until Labor Day the zoo is open until 6 p.m. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor exhibits. The animals are usually most active early in the morning and late afternoon.
There is a train that takes you around the zoo. Its about a 5 minute ride. You get to see some of the exhibits from above. The cost is $4 per person.
There is also a carrousel which costs $3 per person.
I need to use an electronic chair which is on a first come first serve basis. If I can't use a cart I can't come in. How can I find out if one is available before I pay for parking and / or admittance?
I tried on Google with no luck he would love to go to the library though, we took him to the zoo yesterday so today is just a lazy day, thank you,RR for responding back.
Yes they are. There is a picnic area there and they allow you to bring your own food and drinks in. If you park at the zoo lot, going to your car is a breeze but if you park at the outlying lots, it's a bit of a walk.
They have a ton of wheel chairs and strollers that you can get once you are there. I'm unfamiliar if you can reserve them unless you have a lot of people that are gonna need them
Yeah, there's a volunteen program that runs during the summer time. You must be 13 in order to be in the program. The applications usually open in December
Yes we just did yesterday. My wife and I took the two grandchildren and used the membership card for entrance. We also used the card for discounts on food and drink.
Yes. We have a membership at another zoo and had to wait until they opened at 10am to use the reciprocity. Zoo members and people who purchased zoo adventure ticket packages were able to get in at 9am.
I think you're asking if there are days its open to the public for free. There are free or discount promotions - mothers on mothers day, military personnel on memorial day for example. Zoo has also offered dollar days in the past, and after hours events like tunes and blooms where admission is free after 5. Check out their special events page for more info
The cost to rent an ECV or electronic convience vehicle is $30 per day per vehicle. I hope this helps. A few can be reserved online a few days in advance. If thst isnt possible then they are first come first serve. I hope this helps.
Babies under 2 are free. Don't forget parking. It's $9.00 to park. Unless you park outside. There are many spots for free. It may be cheaper for you to buy a family pass. Then you can go all year. It's only $129 for 2 adults and one child. The baby would be free. Parking is free with a pass. We always get passes.
There is a discounted price for individuals with a SNAP card. Im not sure of daily ticket cost but I know for sure that you can purchase the basic yearly pass for $35. This is for admission only, does not include parking or train. You can go to the zoo website and look under discounts or call the zoo.
Do u have free days in april and if so when and times please.
Bobbie Jo Wright | Nov 5, 2018
Karen Pierce | Nov 5, 2018
Not that I know of, but if you get SNAP benefits you can get a family membership for $35 for a year. This includes 2 adults and 8 kids plus free parking
Yes. Both would be doable. Agree that you'll likely want more time for the zoo but the shark bridge and ability to touch animals at the aquarium are worth a trip.
It must be above 50 degrees and sunny for her to be out. Looking at the forecast, I doubt she will be out. There are so many other animals that it would still be worth the drive.
I'm not sure about ticket prices. I can tell you that if you purchase a season pass and go twice you've pretty much broken even. As far as how many animals you can see now, I'd say it would be worth going. They have inside exhibits, and it's warm enough for more of the animals to be out.
Do ya stroller's for baby's I have 3 kids or something too put them in ???
Hippy Bustos | Nov 5, 2018
Working Mom Clean | Nov 5, 2018
They do have some you can pay to rent, but id suggest bringing your own. They may not have something for all three together, forcing you to get 3 individuals. My toddler was 1 the last time we went. He hardly was in the stroller while we were there.
