I wanted to purchase the any day tickets for next month, if while I'm there and he decides he wants to do the 4D experience, would I still be able to purchase that experience?

We bought it with our ticket on the day we went, so I don't know about buying it once you're there. I do recommend going to the 4D theater. I didn't know what to expect, and it was outstanding.

Yes, u can purchase tickets online and upgrade and pay the difference when u get there. Just go to guest services office at the entrance?

I believe you can purchase any of the extras while you are at the zoo. The train, the carousel, and the 4d experience are all extras anyways. I hope this helped even a little bit.
