Than when you get in and talk to someone they will tell you someone will call you within 48 hours and you better answer or you will have to go back to unemployment again and do that whole process over and ask for another 48 hours to get ahold of someone that can help you. Same here. Through on-line chat. I was told they couldn't get a hold of my employers and that I should receive a letter in the mail for a phone interview or receive payments within a week. It's been a week and nothing. I try the on-line chat and no luck. I call and no luck. I am definitely considering going there in person.

Yes. The failure of Gov. Hogan's administration of the Unemployment Insurance Program is total. The phone service system is inoperable. Human contact is a non-sequitur, and has been for months. At his juncture, I believe your contacting your state senator; and perhaps media outreach is in order. Baltimore Sun / WBAL / WYPR might have easy means of contact. Ultimately, unceasing contact with Hogan's office is final measure. I have called his "number" and with three-way calling conducted the circle jerk phone prompts onto his voicemail. It helped. They would like for you to have some previous work and a college degree to meet the qualifications of the position. They also have contractual positions to start and eventually you can become permanent if you meet the qualifications for the position for which you are applying. Good Luck!

I reached them after trying all day about this issue, they sent a message to the IT Department asking them to correct the problem women explained it was not my filing but the portal corrected the problem I was able to file for the two weeks I could not the 3rd week same thing happened I called late in the afternoon, said they would look into the problem but seems its a IT Issue regardless they let me file for that week when I went to file yesterday same thing so its occured 3 times and each time states " no weeks availiable " if its IT Issue and I am not the only one why can they not correct this I would suggest not giving up do not stop calling , I tried friday and made over 150 calls nothing but I know they are trying I know its difficult I think regardless if you talk to someone this problem will not be fixed until they have someone fix it hope this helps

Waiting on hold sucks but if you hang up it's like waiting in line, getting angry and going to the back of the line because you were angry. DLL is going to stay busy.

Make sure, you take photos or screen shots of everything, the budget has been disamatted do to them sending funds to people that weren't eligible. So they will find any reason to not approve your weekly certification

In your situation, I would try to call unemployment back. Send them copies of all your income you made in 2020 to make sure u qualified for one of their programs...(especially one of the Covid ones that have now ended). They can retro your payments if you do get qualified!

Yes, everything is by appointment they are not doing walk-ins. If you don't have an appointment police officers at front door will not let you in. I had appointment the 27th of last month and that's what told me.

I been trying to get through since last year by phone and email! I got through spoke with a live person explained my situation and for my sponsor to reopen up my account and claim! Once my sponsor took care of it gave me an ticket number 4 my own personal record! So now I can't even get through or response at all! Virtual no good! I have a claimant that was put in on the 2nd of November about fraudulent activity and all this craziness stuff that the unemployment got going on when they see that people are suffering due to their actions! If nothing don't get resolve by the end of this month! Imma have to take drastic measured and get an lawyer because it's not right how unemployment treating us people like we're not suffering or like we don't exist and I resides in DC and all my jobs was in MD/VA but mostly in MD!

I got thru yesterday and spoke with someone and I explained the situation with their phones and virtual texting! But I did manage to file my extension! So call the 667 # and don't push 5

Yes , I need to recertify for the PUA and to have my DUI CARD UNLOCKED. Its been over a month since it was closed or blocked

They haven't responded or even picked up for any of the ~20 calls I made when I was first unemployed. I tried emailing them and no response over email either. Their physical office is also closed to the public. Eventually, I was able to do what I needed to do through the Beacon online portal. However, it's been over 2 months, and I still have not received any benefits, though I've been certifying every week

I have been locked out as well. I made inquiries to new stations ans the governor. I believe i got an automated email response. How does a government overlook cries for assistance from taxpayers who pay their salaries? Perhaps if their checks get blocked for a few months maybe they can empathize.

Hi Jenu, they have implemented a virtual chat on the MD unemployment website. After a few clicks you get connected to a LIVE chat agent. It's a real person and I was able to get my problem resolved. I hope this helps. Good luck.

I would like to know that also. Someone who is helpful. These machines have been giving us problems for months. The bills are piling up and there's no one to speak to and the emails say you can't reply to them when they send them out

If the Department of Labor can respond to Google reviews why can't they respond to our emails?

No there are no walkins for the public. All UI inquiries must be done through the UI Claim Centers. DLLR offices are currently closed.
