The clinic is not answering the phone. I need information on how to obtain a copy of my dog’s lab report. I dial zero & explain this to the front desk, only for them to connect me back to the clinic with no answer. This is extremely frustrating. I don’t see the need to travel to the clinic to get a simple answer over the phone, especially if the lab report could be emailed to me. Do better people! My dog needs an ultrasound, which they do not offer. I need his lab info to take to a clinic that does offer ultrasounds!

This place is terrible. If you ever lose your pet, and this place gets a hold of your pet they will tell you you can adopt it back after 7 days. Adopt your dog back like are you kidding me? This place a very very bad reputation for putting dogs and cats to sleep right away and not giving owners back their pets. They've been closed down before for it and only doing it again

My daughter was looking for a smaller dog between the age of 3 to 5 years old. We both looked and did a lot of research. She found her new fur baby here. It took her several days to get her application approved. She then made an appt to meet Clyde and the day after we went and picked him up. The gentlemen and younger female volunteer that helped us were very nice and helpful. He such a wonderful addition to our family. For those of you that had bad experiences with trying to adopt an animal, please remember to be patient. Covid really did a number on all businesses. Everyone is short staffed and things everywhere move alot slower. For the people who say they are fed up with this place and will not be donating anymore, why would you hurt the welfare of the poor animals because you have an issue with humans that work there. Really??? Grin and bare it and move on.

Better hope your pet doesn’t ever get lost and taken here because if there is no chip or tags they will not give you your pet back and will give it up for adoption to another family. The workers there are heartless and that’s not the only bad thing I’ve heard about them.
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
I feel sorry for the dog too cuz they put them to sleep there
Veterinarians is what you meant
I love dr kahn, he is an angel. He was so patient with me
It needs new management and board.
Why wouldn't they let you adopt him? What was their reason?
The discussion was about the flea poop and how I could pass my credit card by phone the next day, when Princess died at home while I was at work.On Tuesday November 21, 2017, I found my cat dead at home, when I came back from work. I took her to ASK in Chicago Ridge and I wanted to pay the lab fee to know what was wrong. An Indian vet told me it was not necessary, and that they would run the tests and inform me. Then, the staff passed me on the phone with Ms. Estrada who said she was friends with Dr. Reza. When she hang up on me, the police was already called to have me leave, because I was looking for answers. Needless to say, when I called a few days later for the test results, Dr. Hilary told me that I could not have them, because I did not pay, and I should keep the hundred dollars for my expenses (sic). I was also barred from the premises! Would you mind being more humane and kinder with your clients? Thanks!
Try to google your question it will probably direct you to the source to speak to
Do you need to get a exam if it’s their first set of shots ?
They kill the animals that are not adoptable!
If you're on medicaid, you'll get a discount on 26th
I was going to have that done for my pup. I think couple hundred. Versus 500 at the vet. Her tooth fell out on its own . When it comes to expenses it is always best to call the clinic to get an accurate price
You can also cook chicken for cats... Just simply boil and then pull the meat off the bone, cool and then chop into tiny bits before feeding...
It depends on the case. If your dog needs stitches, get it to a vet ASAP before infection sets in. Don't let your pet suffer
Get there early it is a mad house. Drive up shot clinic on Saturdays.
I don't have a good answer for you Sandra that makes no sense.
That is,wrong report them to a supervisor
She want to know all the va in e she need for her cat
Yes I believe so
The day I went, it was my first time, you may have to call before going in
I believe the age is 18, but call them & check to make sure.
Yeah that happened to me at another one and plus they kill dogs here I don't like this place
If you want one for free you can't afford a pet. That amount covers their spay/neuter, vaccines and any other medications or treatments they may have needed. It's a deal compared to getting a "free" animal and paying for all that yourself which you prob wouldn't do and then you'd have an unhealthy, unaltered pet contributing to the overpopulation of companion animals who end up in shelters.
I'm sorry. I really don't know. Just stop in and ask, Lord knows they can use the help, and of course you will be trained. Almost all the volunteers are really cool. Good luck.
Selena Cage they can't tell u the cost until they see the dog, other than the initial visit, they are very very reasonable and the doctors are very nice
Good bilingual people i love it....
Smh why in the world would you adopt an animal and then want the money back?!!! That is beyond wrong.
I'm sure they'll take them. Give them a call first they might have a different entrance so they don't transmit to the other animals at the main entrance
The cat was $40 and that was included.
Yes is very needed to call or go there before 8 am to get seeing for an exam, just let them know your situation of income as they are low charge, be there before 8 to get an exam, stand on line and expect to be there for at least 4 to 6 hours. Good savings for people of need monetarioly and pet love. Love them.
The Animal Welfare League has a wonderful staff of professionals give them a call for your Animal needs and care.
Again PAND L HAS TO STAND FOR PEOPLE AND LOVE NOT PROFIT AND LOSS. IF U CARE ANYTHING ABOUT THESE BEAUTIFUL CREATURES FROM GOD OUR ANIMALS
She'll do better next visit, when dealing with so many at the same time can be mind blowing she was just a little stressed, NOT saying she isn't wrong but she must respect ALL THAT COMES TO GET SERVICE
The anti cruelty society on 32 and western takes in pets
Yes. They do
No they are full and not taking in any cats at the moment
It depends on the weight of your pet and what you would like also depends on if you want to be present or not
Once you relinquish ownership of your pet. It is medically examined .once cleared it's housed and put up for viewing on line. Due to covid. Appointments are made all else discussed with AWL. Please call.
I know they service on a first come first serve basis. For the cleaning call and see if this is provided as a morning service.
Give the league a call
I pretty sure they give shots every day there open, I've been there Tuesday Wednesday, Saturday I think Thursday too over the years and got my pet his shots on different days.
I paid 50$ each dog.
Now that's crazy $300 put a bandage on them they didn't do no surgery or nothing
I would call them since covid requirements have changed
8am but the clinic doesn't open til 12. Get there at 8 to sign in to avoid waiting for hours
The animal shelter Is till taken animals.and given shots close on Monday s open1pm on Thursday open 8am other day Call
I'm sorry your service has been so bad I've yet to experience such a thing I pray your dog get better.
Go on Sat drive thru clinic super cheap puppy need 3 rounds 2nd 3rd round free in drive thru bot the clinic
No, just walk in, I think there's still a special cheaper price for the yearly shots till the end of October.
I'm just a customer of the place, you need to call them.
No, I never thought of something like that, but if you call I'm sure they will answer, I sometimes have a little trouble getting through but I got lucky closer to closing time, which kinda varies, 2 pm or 4pm .
Yes...kind of....because of the pandemic, you have to sign in outside then wait in your car with your pet until they call you....once your pet is inside, they only allow two people inside the lobby so unless it's an emergency you have to wait in your car for basic stuff like grooming or shots...my dog needed surgery so I got to wait in the exam room with her...they were great.....
Pets not adopted from the AWL must be at least 5 months old and current on rabies, bordetella and two sets of distemper vaccines. By appointment only. Prices are effective October 1, 2018 and are subject to change: CATS Any Weight $31.25 male $55.75 female G/L
Yes. Instead of.sitting indoors u sit in your car and they'll call when it's your turn.
I believe scheduled surgeries are a month out. By the time your appointment comes she be done with her period. You should still go.
You have to download their adoption papers and they'll get back to you. I will have shih tzu puppies soon. If you're interested
Yes
Currently we are taking sign in starting at 8:00am. Doctor starts seeing clients by 9:30am.We are only taking 20 to 30 clients right now. Please be patient, with the current situation we are limited on Doctors.
They ARE open, but likely so busy they've no time to answer. All services but surgeries are first come, first served. Sign in. Go early; once they fill the signup sheet they stop taking any more patients, no matter what time. See website for details.
Truly not sure... I'd call them bf going. A+ facility
They have a Saturday "drive thru" from 2-4pm vaccines are super cheap so u might be able to get her boosters too for a good price
They open at 8am but I would get there at 7am because there will be a line.
Yes they do take donations during hours of operation
She???? Dog or cat ? Dog just needs a leash. Cat, I suggest a crate
Don't have that answer
Don't know but the place is very reasonable
You have you to call animal control
I don't work there. But their website should show if they are doing anything. And as for volunteering you have to fill out a form and go to a orientation.
When I tried to get them to take 3 orphaned kittens a few months ago, they said they couldn't take them because they were over capacity. They sent me to their branch on 60-something, I don't remember....but if they can't take him, they'll know someone who can.
I can't give you a exact amount...I know they will work with you on cost. They will tell you upfront the total cost once they exam your animal. What type of surgery? And how do you know your pet needs this surgery?
I've been trying to call. They haven't answered, but the phone recording says they're open. Website and Google says they're closed. Recent posting on adoptapet.com says they're open. We're hoping to go today. @Barbara I don't know you, so I'm not sure how I'm supposed to call you. 🤔
I had a great experience with them. I didn't have an appointment so the wait was a little long. But other than that I'd definitely go back.
U gotta go in first so they do the blood work on ur pet. I know they do a good job and are cheaper than most vets. I got my dogs teeth cleaned there a couple years ago.
You'll first go look to see if they have an animal you'd like to adopt. If so, you'll fill out some paperwork. They'll screen you and verify the info you provided. That may take about a week. If approved, you'll return and pay the required adoption fee and take your new baby home.
Yep, then u can pick up a dog.
Warren you are a horrible individual referring to animals as pos. You don't deserve to have animals, save the shotgun shells for yourself!
What is it that u need to know?
The clinic at the Animal Welfare League is the lowest one that I know of. I would assume that any shelter with a clinic would be low cost.
Just go there and tell them youre interested in adopting they will take you through it. I have two dogs from them. Both great.
I've brought stray dogs in many times and I didn't have to adopt but you can adopt the animal if you wish. I already had three so I wasnt in a position to do so
Here you can vaccinate your animals, but it is better to call ahead and make an appointment.
I would call to find out for sure but I would imagine they do. They sell them
No one. They stopped allowing volunteers to assist on weekends. The animals are likely left alone for several days.
I really don't know but you can call them to see. But please get her taken care of. I have a small dog and has been fix for yrs.
I can't understand why they couldn't help you even though they are busy they are very helpful. Speak up and be heard . Let them know what happened cause maybe they don't know because people go there for many other reasons and are very busy. Sorry to hear that. Hope your cat gets the help quick n feels better
You get the medicine over the counter and it says on the box how much to give
Take her in. They are really wonderful there, and they will work with u financially.
They are very busy try a different ext
I have a neighbor that is a cat lover she feeds the strays here in the neighborhood and get them neutered and checked with a vet and gets them homes i would have to ask here about here info she has a web page for stray cat's i will post it as soon as i get here info i believe she's a paws volunteer
You dont need an appt for vacs just tell them at the desk, but it is first come first serve.
They had a special, I think it ended Sept 30, but paws is cheap i think only 12 bucks per shot, they both have discounts if you're a senior, on government assistance, I went to Paw's on 26 street, had my pet nutered, Chip shots al for cheap, I think it free if you're on medicad.
9pm weekdays
Yes they do, they have prices that a lower then regular vet prices
Payment is due upon service but you will get a discount if you are low income with proof such as Link Card Medicaid card
Did you call Poddle Rescue site as this animal shelter is high kill shelter?
For most of their surgeries the stay time is usually 3 days
You have to go through the screening to be a foster parent. You can't just walk in and foster that day.
My cat is 23. Your kitty likely has a few good yrs left.🙂
MONDAY - FRIDAY 10AM - 7PM SATURDAY - 9AM - 6PM SUNDAY - CLOSED
Trust us , they r way very busy, but either have patient or try to stop by and see their real reality ,trying to take care and accommodate all pets and people. But they r really nice staff and hope you take this advice and go there.
No you have to go and see in Chicago Ridge
How long do you wait to see a vet
Oh wow
Oh Sarah.... The word is 'lease', not leash. As in, don't need to bring in my renter's lease to adopt a cat. More than likely the answer would be yes.. they will need to verify that you can actually have pets in your apartment before they just let you take home a pet. It makes sense.
We been going there for 22 yrs and is an awesome place , and yes they have tons poor dogs that is unbelievable to care all the same time, price is way cheap comparing regular Vets that steal money from us as customers. Yes they have few Veterinarian there because is hard to maintain such many animals that comes at the same time. People in general r the HUMAN DISGRACE that by been inhumane leave the dogs/cats there because they don't wanna care or spend money to take care them into their home. Yes summer comes kids wants pets or just humans wants to show their neighbors or SOCIETY that they adopt a pet,,, And winter comes and those """"""wanting pets""": most them end up into the ANIMAL Shelter at Chicago Ridge, so is so many and thousands that they unfortunately can't handle. We as family love all those employees and part time and vets that strive every single day care those poor pets and also put up wit those unsatisfied and suck customers that stop there. We love Animal L.
I'm sorry to hear that you have to do that. The clinic can give you most prices over the phone, but you may need to go there for some pricing.
Sorry wasn't there then but the best thing you can do is call the animal welfare and no I dont have the number
Any dog can be friendly. They need time and space to decompress after coming out of a shelter.
Youre gonna have to call
I'm not sure on the price but I know that they are the cheapest around
While I was there I didn't see any animals other than cats and dogs.
Take it to animal welfare
They have a Spring time special. 40 dollars for the vaccination shots.
Not sure of process but animal welfare does it. Give them a call
They have a clinic. Check the website for ph# and clinic hours. Vet is there 10 to 4, Mon-Fri. Their prices are lower than other vets, but if you still can't afford it I believe you can provide proof to get it even lower. Its first come first serve so it's Best to be there before 10 a.m. They are open before vet gets there. I believe it's 8a.m.
The price is effected by many thing size, and services needed, and financial need just to name a few. They have a shot clinic on Tuesdays and Saturdays that offers discounts. You should check out their web site.
They are very good about answering the phone and answering questions. Give them a call!
They are open and also adoption is open too
There isn't a drive-thru but they do see pets on a first come basis. Although emergency cases are taken first. Just come in and sign in and wait to be called. Yes the wait can be long, but this is because they are so inexpensive and they are often crowded. So expect to wait. I could not afford the treatment for my cat which would have required hospitalization. It would have been well over $1,600 to start. They charged $575. If you don't want to wait you can go to a different vet. But you will pay a lot more.
You have to contact them directly to find out what animals are available there
They will have a clinic on the 18th at Western, but is not free, i saw a post on a page but i dont remember where.. somewhere in Garfield ridge they will do vaccines and microchipped completely free for chicagoan residents..!!
You have to call they should.
Open everyday. But very busy both the adoption and Veterinarian clinic. Best to call or go there when they first open. Stray cats or dogs $140 for shots, neutered, and microchip. Roughly $40 to neutered, but must bring current update shots to get that price.
Not sure if they would have one. You need to go look to see what breeds are available for adoption. Maybe call them and see if they can tell you if they have the specific breed you are looking for
Yes of course. As long as you really found it and it's not yours
Regrettably, yes. It cost nothing but the ask if you can bring his leftover dry dog food, his favorite toss our blankets.
Go to or call an exotic vet that takes care of rabbits ferrets hamsters etc. This is a vet for dogs and cats.I wouldn't trust them with your rabbit. Call diff places and ask if they take care of rabbits or ask if they know any places. That's how I found heal vet in Chicago who takes care of my ferret :)
They are being investigated, I would not recommend this place !
It's a poorly operated place.. very sad..
Some are paid and they get a lot of volunteers too
I agree with Donna. The earlier the better. Be prepare to wait for at least 2 hour wait. They don't officially start seeing animals till 10 am but if you get there by 8am you should be out by 11am noon at the latest. But worth the wait.
They do have good prices for shots...good luck with getting in thier
PAWS IS BEST OPTION
Not sure they've ever done free adoptions, but honestly if you can't afford an adoption fee you're not going to be able to afford to care for a pet that requires food, shelter, toys, training, vet care, shots, etc. JS.
NO its not...poor animal's this place needs to be closed thier only worry is money...not the animals go volunteer somewhere else save yourself a LOT of heartache
They have an animal clinic they're so I believe that they would neuter any type of pet or animal. It's best to just give them a call and check first. Good luck!
No i cant....good luck with getting anyone at that place to do anything ....
Unfortunately you have to deal with the bitches at the front desk when you volunteer. I CHOSE to volunteer here because I love and care for animals. But I would highly suggest not volunteering here because the staff are careless and rude!
Well..obviously if your dog is hurt you take him to the vet
Sadly, both the above answers are correct. Welfare will take as many as possible from everywhere
Oh wow good pricing thank you all.
Do you give your cat insulin?
They do have reduced rates at AWL, but it's not free. I hope you got your cat seen and hope it's ok. If your cat is diabetic, it needs to have routine vet care and medication.
You have to give from the heart and hope for the best but I do know when I adopted my dog she was eating chicken, rice, and beans so I think the food does go to the animals
The availability of the pets vary depending upon what has been brought in. It would be best to call or even to just go in. I'm not sure if the have a waiting list (probably not) but its better to know from asking.
Our pricing is low priced for everyone regardless of their income status. We offer an additional discount on your office visit if you can provide proof of low-income. Our services are not free. We try to work with and help everyone that we can. I tell people if you're working with a specific budget (i.e: only has 50 dollars for care, etc) let the doctor know and they can try to form a treatment plan to fit that budget. Come in for the exam. Let's see how we can help you!
Lots of pharmacy on 95th ... almost every busy corner has a cvs walgreens or a store like jewel which has osco .. so where on 95th did you want to know about ..
We actually had our phones down for an entire day due to a technical issue. I apologize. I believe that's what was causing the issue. Try calling our number again, dial 0 and ask to be connected to the clinic.
Yes we do! Neuter is 151.99 and Spay is 185.99. Call in to set up an appointment.
Yes they do.
Yes we do. In fact we have an amazing special. It's $60.00 and includes sedation. The pet does need to come in for a dental exam (35.25) because it needs to be approved by our Doctors. If your pet is current on vaccines you must bring in the proof during the visit. If the pet is 5 years or older, our doctors will want to do blood work to make sure it's safe to put the pet under anesthesia. Aso, extractions are extra and run anywhere from 15-45 dollars. It depends on what tooth, how many and how many roots are involved. The doctor will give you an estimate at the time of the exam. Come in for the dental exam and let's start the process!
1st view on the x-ray is 60.50. Any additional view after the 1st one is 28.90. An abdominal ultrasound is 210.00. For the actual exploratory surgery, we don't quote those prices. You need to bring the dog in for an exam and let's see what we can do to help!
If you have any of the following: link card, medical card, social security, disability, unemployment, or military we can discount your office visit from 35 to 27. You need to bring in proof w/ an ID everytime you come in. Hope this helped!
All kinds, mostly the ones no one wants
We have a 40 dollar special for the Rabies & FVRCP. If the pet has been seen at AWL Clinic before and you only need shots they will charge you 13.50 for a shot visit. If your pet has never been here before you'll be charged an office visit of 35 (27 if you have proof of low income). Hope this helps!
Light a match as soon as you blow it out put it on tick it should come off
I wi) take your dog
I am not sure. I don't believe they offer free adoptions on Veterans Day but they may offer a discount. Try giving them a call and ask if they are having any specials for Veterans Day!
We don't accept medical cards as a form of payment. If you have a medical card and/or link card (or another form of low-income) then your office exam will be discounted to 27.50. But that's just the physical exam by the doctor. It doesn't include any medications, diagnostics and/or testing. Hope that helps.
It's hard for us to quote prices for treatments when they aren't set prices like spays/neuters/shots. Dosage for medications are calculated by pets weight and prescribed by a licensed Veterinarian. I can't predict what medication each vet may or may not prescribe. I can for sure tell you the exam is 35.25. If you have proof of low-income (like the link or medical card) then the exam will only be 27.50. When you're in the room with the Doctor you can ask him for an estimate of the cost and he/she would be more than willing to accommodate you. I hope this helps.
For surgery we require Rabies, FVRCP (under a 1yr old needs 2 boosters) and Bordetella. The kittens have to have an exam by our doctors (35.25 or for low-income 27.50). Bring in proof of vaccines. If all looks well, the surgery is only 31.25 for each male kitten. Good luck!
If you dog has been seen by a vet at AWL at some point and you only need shots you'll pay $40 for Rabies & DHLPP and $13.50 for a shot visit. If the pet has never been seen and/or needs a visit. It'll still be the $40 for the shots and an office visit (35/27 dollars).
Sadly, no.You will have to get the pet retested. It's 28.25 for a HWT. If you purchase a years supply of Heartgard you get the test free and a $12 rebate sent to your home. You don't have to purchase a 12 MO supply but it's just more convenient. We can't take the risk of the pet being infected with Heartworm while the pet was not on preventative. Hope this helps.
We will see any pet in the clinic with fleas. We do not do flea dips at the clinic unfortunately. I would bathe the pet in blue Dawn dish soap. It works really well to kill the eggs and fleas. Dry the pet thoroughly. Apply Frontline to the skin between the shoulder blades and clean your home. Vacuum and wash everything possible. We have a spray called the knockout spray it works wonders for the home. It's $28 a can. Good luck! Fleas have been terrible this year
Did AWL put the bandage on? If so, no charge. If another clinic placed the bandage then I'd assume they'd charge for an office visit. Good luck!
If you are able to safely catch the dog then I would bring it into AWL. If you're unable to catch it then I would call your local animal control who can help catch the animal safely and then they can transport it to AWL. Good luck!
Your best bet is to stop by and check out our cat room. Then if you see one you like, you'll get a chance to meet and interact with it. Stop on by!
Try bathing first with Dawn (has to be blue kind) dish soap. It works really well to kill eggs and existing fleas. Then I would make sure the pet is very dry and apply Frontline to the skin between the shoulder blades, make sure not to drag down the back because they will be able to turn and lick at it which will make them sick. Then I would treat the home and the yard. We have a spray called the Knockout spray, it's 28 for an entire can. It works wonders and you can treat the entire home with it. Wash all bedding and vacuum really well. You can't just treat the pet. You need to treat from every angle. Good luck!
If the virus is in its early stages it's not uncommon for the test to come out negative and then as the symptoms continue if the pet is tested again it comes positive. We still prescribe medications if the test comes out negative and often recommend coming back to retest. Because of the symptoms which often includes not eating/drinking you need to syringe feed and keep the pet hydrated even if that means giving fluids (and pedialyte) via syringe. Sometimes it's not enough and the pet is unable to fight off the Parvo virus or whatever else may be ailing them. It's a sad situation but we see it fairly often. I'm sorry for your loss.
82.00, and if you adopt a 2nd cat then you'll get it half off! Stop by and check out our cat room.
We don't really quote surgery prices because it's not a set price. For the C-Section it goes by weight of the animal. There are many other factors such as antibiotics, IV fluids, etc. The doctor is the one who makes the estimate and can let you know exact prices. I will tell you that we get a lot of referrals for surgery because of our low-cost prices.
If you adopt from AWL it's 160.00 for the adoption fee which includes the shots, spay/neuter surgery, microchip and leash/collar, plus a 10 day health guarantee! I would really consider taking a look around the shelter and other local shelters to see if you see a dog that grabs at your heart. It's not cheap to own a pet, but it's a wonderful experience. They truly add to your life! Stop by and take a look around!
I think those are over for the year. They already had 2 this year. I haven't heard of anymore in the works. Don't let that stop you from stopping by and checking out all the animals up for adoption.
Of course! All donations are welcome & very much appreciated. Thank you!
Yes I believe 18 but I'm not sure if they will check your home to see if it is able to be good for a guinea pig. Most likely I think they would to check the surroundings of where will be.
AWL offers a low-cost office visit for 27.50. Bring your cat by and their doctors can take a look at him and see what's going on. It's a low-cost clinic for the purpose of helping people and animals in need. Feel free to stop by and check out our services!
I would call or go in. Speak to one of the ladies at the front desk and they should be able to help you. You can even go look (during normal business hours) through the adoption floor to see if you recognize them. There is a cat room!
The doggy "drive thru" is every Tuesday from 5:30pm-7:30pm and every Saturday from 2pm-4pm. If you're looking to just update shots try it out! It's quicker & cheaper. We have great packages and you don't get charged an office or shot visit!
Free adoptions was today only 9/15/17 Friday. It ended at 9pm. Hope you were able to make it!
Did you find this dog? You can try putting the dogs picture and information on community Facebook pages to find their owners. You can also bring the dog in to be scanned for a microchip at AWL and they even have stray relinquish services.
Thank you for having concern for the dog & the possible pups that will come. I would call AWL and report it anonymously. A lot of the pets are not spayed/neutered so as an incentive they make adopters put down a 50.00 deposit that's refundable upon completed spay/neuter. But this person stands to make more than 50.00 for those pups so it may not even matter to them. I would call AWL and speak with them. They can tell you what can be done next.
Congratulations on the puppies! If mom and pups are doing well and she is continuing to nurse them you won't need to bring them in until the pups need their first sets of shots. If you do want to bring them in for a check up before their shots and exam is 35.25. If you have proof of low-income it's 27.50. When they are 8 weeks you'll want to bring them in with mom for an exam. 1 office visit covers you for 3 pets. They will get their first shots 31.25 a pup (DHPP) and a deworming since all pups are born with worms. That can run anywhere between 20-25 dollars per pup. The pups should be kept inside at all times unless it's to go potty or see the vet. Even then always hold them. When they complete their shot schedule that'd why they can explore their world. Good luck!
I'm sorry to hear about Fifi. Unfortunately, not all animals are capable of being saved. Many people trust Animal Welfare League and its services. Try to imagine AWL gone, the amount of pets and people you would suffer would be huge. They do their best with what they have and I am grateful that they are here!
They have many dogs for adoptions! Stop by and take a look. You may find what you're looking for.
If you prepaid for a neuter that will still be available to you. But you may need to revaccinate depending on whether or not your dog is current. The requirements for any surgery at AWL for a dog is Rabies, DHPP/DHLPP, Bordatella, Flu vaccine. As long as the pet is current (with proof if done elsewhere) then schedule an appointment. If not, get the shots updated and then an appointment can be scheduled.
