Not sure they've ever done free adoptions, but honestly if you can't afford an adoption fee you're not going to be able to afford to care for a pet that requires food, shelter, toys, training, vet care, shots, etc. JS.
No adoption is free. There's a small fee for all animal adoptions. This covers shots, nudering (spell check), etc
Get a goldfish . Sounds more in your price range.
The last couple years there has been a “clear the shelters “ day sponsored by NBC. On this day the adoption fees are It happened In late summer. waived. However there are other fees that may need to be pai. If your animal has not been s or neutered, and is old enough, they will ask for a deposit that will be returned once the surgery is completed. The crowd on the clear the shelter day is quite large and you may end up spending the entire day for the adoption process. It may be more beneficial to go on any random day and pay the nominal adoption fees.
