I absolutely adore this venue, you can't beat the views and the vibes. I park in the south upper lot personally, it's easier to get into the venue. They even have water fountains which are a perk. Sound quality is not all there but what do you expect with an outdoor venue. Highly recommend the atmosphere is wonderful. Check out the museum up top it's so fascinating!

Yes, Red Rocks is actually a Denver Mountain Park, so as long as there isn't a show going on you're allowed to visit any area in and around the amphitheater. There's a nice museum/visitors center at the top, also free. However, I recommend going early as they sometimes close the amphitheater mid to late afternoon to setup for shows and those can happen any day of the week during the summer.
Red Rocks has an app where you always have access to not only concerts, but other events held at the amphitheater as well. You can purchase tickets and even order food/drinks ahead of time while you're there!
On Non-Event days, Red Rocks is open one hour before sunrise and closed one hour after sunset.
On Event days, Red Rocks is open one hour before sunrise until approximately 2 p.m.
Cashless. I'm getting old because I don't know what a cash conversion machine is, except for those changing dollars to Euros or something else.
If you get the Red Rocks app, you can order your concessions ahead, so that's newish.
I think ticket master has a disability icon when looking for a seats. Red rocks does have an app with upcoming events. My dad was in the same boat as you, generally one or two people got to sit with him depending on space each venue was different. Hope my answers was helpful have a nice day ✌
The age limits will depend of the show that you are interested in attending. If you are going to visit just to see the scenery, there are no age limits.
What does n/a mean on the seating chart for Red Rocks Amphitheater?

No wish i could have seen a concert!! Just visiting my old home state
Exactly. ^ We were just there last mid-afternoon last Friday, and bc there was a show at the amphitheater, it limited access in the park around it. We were able to walk on some of the nearby trails.
Rows 1 and 70 of Red Rocks Amphitheatre are wheelchair accessible. Concertgoers who require the use of either location must purchase accessible tickets prior to the event for Row 1 or Row 70 to sit in these seats. Due to architectural barriers and fire hazards, we cannot guarantee an accommodation without a Row 1 or Row 70 ticket.
Wheelchair accessible seats are 36” x 12.” If you require the use of a wheelchair you may choose to remain in your wheelchair or transfer to a folding chair, in which case our staff will be glad to store your wheelchair on the side of Row 1 or Row 70.
If you need additional assistance during the show and are unable to notify an event staff member you can utilize our text service system by texting “RR” along with your message to 69050. Our staff will respond immediately with appropriate information and/or dispatch assistance to your location, if necessary.
Blues Travelers have played Red Rocks July 4th on 23 different years. I would say its a safe bet, they missed 1993 when Popper had a heart attack but otherwise they consider the date a tradition.
Soft-sided coolers, stadium seats. Security is a bit of a presence at the entry, but there are alot of people so they don't airport check you. I recommend edibles. 😉
No, but if you are with someone they can drop you off at the top entrance and go park. If you get there a couple hours early you can most likely get your choice of the upper parking. After that... It can be a tough walk/climb.
When I visited at 10:40, they asked people to leave the stage by 11 so that they could clean the stage for reggae on the rocks. The trails were fine, however, for people to hike.. I assume that the reggae on the rocks event got started around 1 pm. That being said, the Goose concert had people coming in thoroughly two hours before the official start of the concert, which I assume was at 8 pm. And boy, was it packed! Honestly, I would call the amphitheater beforehand, but I would imagine they would stop letting people in either 30 minutes before 8 or once the amphitheater seating was filled. The Goose concert definitely looked filled to me!
Anyone know when the shuttle leaves Union Station for an evening concert at Red Rocks?

You should check with the Union Station shuttle company directly. Shows start at different times so the shuttle would leave at different times as well.
What are the best campgrounds to stay at if you’re seeing a concert at the amphitheater?

Don't know I was just passing through love the amphitheater though
I recommend getting a refund now as you never know when it may be on again. Then if it does look like its on again, then get tickets. They have no guarantees of when, so get your money and wait.

Im seeing ppl leave comments are they open to hike? I know the shows are closed?

Yes, hiking around the property is allowed, and a little crowded. I'm not sure you can actually hike to the amphitheater, though...that part of the property might still be closed.
About 300ft according to:

Is there a closing time?
Rolando Aleman | Oct 31, 2019
Padraic Connelly | Oct 31, 2019
Non-Event days: Open one hour before sunrise and closed one hour after sunset
Event/Concert days: Open one hour before sunrise until approximately 2 p.m.
There is handicap parking, but the amphiteater is all stairs, so the outdoor venue itself is not really handicap friendly. Staying at the top is still a spectacular view though.
You can actually go there and check it out before the concert 3 could be an issue though I don't know what time they shut it down for the concert so they have the room for parking
There are multiple lots and the choicest spots are gone at least 2 hours before every show. Your best option is to go to the red rocks website and they have a printable nap of the whole area ( including bathrooms).
Personally, I always park and eat in the nearby town of Morrison and Lyft to the drop-off area. Sooo much easier. Red Rocks is the world's best concert venue and the world's worst traffic situation.
The best choice is to take the lightrail west to red rocks college or jefferson county gov stop. Then call an uber or lyft. It would be a short ride to red rocks theater. But if you plan to drink. Take a ride share from your house.
Visiting, hiking at red Rock amphitheater is free. There is also a small museum below which is also free. Make sure there is no concert at the time you visit.
Sunday thru Thursday curfew is 11pm and Friday and Saturday is midnight. So potentially the concerts could go until the curfew time without being issued a fine by the city. But also could end before curfew
General admission is general admission except for the front row I believe you have to have a special ticket so that might be the difference between the two but I think it's more than likely the gate one gate two thing as mentioned.

Yes there is accessible seating. And shuttles to take you from accessible parking to gates.
Yeah, it really depends on what kind of concert it is. Festivals can go on until midnight. Others arenyour typical 4 hour shows when you account for opening bands.
There is WiFi throughout the venue, but not the rest of the park. Make sure you are going when the park is not closed for a concert or set up for one. The park website should give you a good schedule for open hours. Enjoy. It's a beautiful spot.
Defiently a half day. Lots to explore. We were there about 3 hours and were not able to explore to the extent we wanted to. There is also awesome museum
Baymont... their prices are reasonable. Free breakfast. They have shuttle to/from Red Rocks for $20per person and believe me it is well worth it. Wear comfortable clothing with change of something a bit warmer..(u can take in a backpack)its a little chilly in the evening.
What are the reviews of media about red rocks amphitheater?
gaurab sinha | Oct 31, 2018
Doni Lee Spiegel | Oct 31, 2018
The rock formations make a natural amphitheater... it's pretty amazing. People started performing there in the early 1900's and it's considered by some to be the best concert venue in the world.
Yup they will.....Ask them to take u to the top.....unless u wanna party in the lower lots before the show (shakedown street). Highly recommended u make new friends, pet animals, and drink some good brews.
I'm not to sure what kind of drink you are referring to. If it's water of course you can bring your own. I also seen a couple guys walking around with a beer while hiking. So I hope that helps you out.
How can I purchase "handicap" seats not sure how they word it at venue and can find how on the website pls help

Go to the website and view and go to accessibility on the menu tab. It will tell you that only certain rows are wheelchair accessible and that you would need to purchase tickets on those specific rows. Scroll further down on the same page and click the link that says ticketing. It will show you how to purchase wheelchair accessible seats on their website
That reads as a statement with a question mark at the end, which isn't the sane as asking a question. It's difficult to answer since the hotel name is omitted in your post. Red Rocks is not a hotel, but food is sold there during events...and it's just okay...much better after several beers though!
I'll arrive around 3:00 pm today sept 5th. Is it still possible to have a look on the red rocks amphitheatre ?
Thank you for your response.
