The beaches are a great place if you prefer all natural beaches with little people spending the day there. It’s a great place for fishing and surfing. The water is much cleaner here than the resort we were staying at. The dunes are huge and beautiful.
The “gift shop/snack bar/rental” is gross. Don’t plan to use any restrooms, showers or changing areas. We decided to drape towels around our open car doors to make our own changing areas. Bring your own food and drinks. I don’t advise anything but what is bottled from the shop. If you’re camping here don’t expect to benefit from this area of the park.
The best thing at this state park is going to be the Anastasia Water Sports area. We had a fantastic experience kayaking in Salt Run.

Beautiful- Fun-Clean-Safe-Good Fishing & Full of Wildlife! Great place to go camping, fishing, kayaking or spend the day relaxing. Easy walk to the pier from the beach and great location to the Amphitheater for great concerts.

Amazing camping spot! We spent 5 days here and it was wonderful. The beach is nice, the cafe is delicious, rental amenities for all your camping needs, clean and well maintained. We will definitely be booking another camping trip. Highly recommend even if you want to come for the day.

Bring cash much easier if there is a line to get in about $8 I think. Careful when entering there are always turtles eating on side of road, lovely to watch them cross. Once down a ways on the left is a kayak center and further down is access to the beach. If I lived close the pass would be worth every penny. The bathrooms are ok careful the floor is wet sometimes.
It's a very nice campground and you will enjoy it. As the other guide mentioned, take a quick jump to the Florida State Parks website. If I recall, you are limited to two "tents". I have seen groups with teenagers have four small tents, and other times folks have had two small tents and a larger screen enclosure. While at the Florida State Parks website, check on the site occupancy. This may have a bearing on the answer too. Good luck and good camping!!
Yes pass the camp ground theu have a ramp almost up to the water. In the food shack/shop they can direct you towards it. But it does not go al the way down to the water.
They have over a hundred campsites with at least half that are for the RV as you described. We just left there it is an absolutely beautiful state park to see.
Dogs are allowed at Anastasia State Park Campground and trails, but they must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet when outside your vehicle. Dogs are not allowed in the beach area. There are no pet fees. However, there are dog beaches near there. 1) St. Johns county beaches. 2) North Beach 3) St. Augustine beaches are all dog friendly.
The max length on RV is 40, and I would think if you detached the trailer and parked it along side your RV you would be fine. The campsites for RV are a bit larger than sites for tent campers.
WIFI at the picnic area and thep ark store, not close enough for campground use. I brought firewood and I pick up klinin from the surrounding area around the campsite. The camp store has a pretty good deal on firewood, $7 for a good size bundle.
As of currently they have not closed that area if the beaches just yet. Keep checking their social media websites as some .com websites are not always up to date on closings.
Can one pay for entry for the day only with access to the beach?

At Anastasia you don't have to pay to get on the beach...you just find a road or walk way onto the beach & find parking on the opposite side of the road....by the pier there are restrooms & outside showers to wash off the sand...some walkways have them but some go to hotels & the gates be locked..so we drove down by the pier were the showers were & got changed there.hopefully my info was helpful.
Does it have front beach access?

It has beach access. Unsure of what you mean by "front beach".
Can't drive on beach no smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol no drugs only allowed a a certain amount of people on the beach at one time and I'm not sure how many that's the only restrictions I know
$8 per vehicle. Limit 2-8 people per vehicle.
$4 per single-occupant vehicle.
$2 per pedestrians, bicyclists, extra passengers, passengers in vehicle with holder of Annual Individual Entrance Pass.
All beaches in St Augustine except Anastasia are dog friendly. All other beaches are a dog beach as long as you clean up after your 🐕. Your best friend gets too enjoy the sun, the same, and the waves with you. Remember to make sure your dog has plenty of fresh water and doesn't drink salt water. They also need shade to cool down.
Have great time with your pooch, just not in the park.

Yes they do
I thought that would be a clickable link its not but iy says on their site they do. We just spent the day there when we went
Not unless you have a booster. If you're by the store you'll get some reception depending on the number of devices trying to use it.
If you have a data plan on your phone it should still work at your campsite. I have a straight talk ZTE and didn't experience issues with loading websites. No guarantee on movies.
It 8s not a very good dog park. Can not have them 9n the beach and not fun to walk the parking lot. There is the camping section which is mostly trees where a dog would be happy not burning their paws
Not to mention all of the really cool old shops in St. Augustine. Such a fun town. You can watch the manatees and in the evenings take a haunted sailboat cruise.
We have reservations for last week of Sept. Is the park open and did you receive damage from Irma?

I'm pretty sure they got hit really hard. St Augustine was in an evacuation Zone. I live in Jacksonville but Anastasia Park is one of my favorite places to go. We got damaged all the way up here in Jacksonville
