There is no hiking gear required. You can enjoy a walk at the beach. I didn't see any major hiking paths at the Anastasia park.

Yes it is allowed. You don't have to camp. You do have to pay a day fee though.
There are plenty of places to park. Lots of beach fun to be had. There is some hiking, like the Coquina mines area. As for gear, bring beach supplies.
You would have to check with ranger station or website about camping. We brought a day pack and backpack cooler and had a blast for the day.
The only gear I bring is bug repellent, water for drinking and a pair of sunglasses......
