We did a night ghost tour at the lighthouse. It was ok. The tour had so many people that it took away from the tours "ghostly tales." There were tons of mosquitoes. I think it would have been nice for them to offer some bug spray. They do sell off wipes at 1.00 per wipe. The stories were nice but rather long. After the storied they let you go on your own but the grounds are dark so you can't really see anything. They tell a story in the lighthouse and it gets very hot in there so.. I would suggest not going during the summertime. The best thing about this tour was the top of the lighthouse at night, which was beautiful, but other than that I don't think it was worth the money. If you're going to go, just go during the day so you can see the grounds and the museum.

This was a lovely impromptu stop! The views from the top were gorgeous and expansive and the climb up (although nearly 219 steps) was very manageable due to the benches you can sit on the way up and how well made the stairs are. The building has just been recently renovated and it looks amazing! Each of the exhibits in the separate side buildings were also meticulously maintained and informative. We spoke with several staff members who were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall an incredible place to visit and affordable! Come support historical St. Augustine

Any absolute delight. Has History, souvenirs, antiques, archeology and more. More than a museum. Don't be intimidated if you have mobility handicaps. Staff is wonderful to make doable suggestions to make those with canes or walkers welcome and comfortable even if climbing stairs is physical limited. Restrooms available in several convenient locations. Many kid friendly things including pirate ship playground, outdoor play area with games and a trail that promotes hands on learning. Climb to the top of the lighthouse or enjoy the view from a comfy seat. Be sure to appreciate the landscaping and Florida foliage as well as the lighthouse keepers garden. The Tin Pickle is the stop for a hotdog, muffin, brownie, soda or a cold beer. We watched men building boats on site. We watched and archaeologist work on items retrieved from ocean dives. Be sure and hike the trail that goes behind the lighthouse. See the lush native plants. Enjoy the huge trees covered in Spanish Moss. Well worth the money and wonderful history lesson for kids of all ages. Staff is beyond helpful and kind.

This was a beautiful day to visit the lighthouse, there was a great breeze coming from the water and the sun was shining so bright and filled with warmth. It was perfect. A must if you're a maritime bug. They have a park for kids to enjoy and the view from the lighthouse was magnificent. Overall it was fun.

Yes.you only have to paid for the pass
I was told by the owner's daughter about May 15th 2022 that the lighthouse was going to be open after the renovation. I tried to go up the lighthouse 2 weeks ago. The best thing to do is check their website or call before you go there....
Yes, just make sure you stay with them on spiral staircase to top, it's also windy at the top so just keep them with you through the duration of your tour.
The St. Augustine Lighthouse is a private Aid-to-navigation, meaning that we keep it on, and without our museum it would go out. But it shines each night, just as it did when the USCG operated it. Our volunteers polish and care for the lens, as does our amazing staff.
The lighthouse is more than just the lighthouse. There is more to see there. What you will be able to enjoy may depend on the nature of the challenge the person has.
The lighthouse is 165 feet tall with a first order Fresnel lens. There's no official record of a death there, but the site is said to be popular with paranormal enthusiasts. Enjoy your visit!
Probably an hour
No I don't think weight matters...it's only height of kids that matter..
As long as you can handle it it is ok No weight limit
Read this article and you be the judge; https://ghostcitytours.com/st-augustine/haunted-places/st-augustine-lighthouse/
Yes dogs were on allowed on the property but they were not allowed in the buildings unless they were service dogs. And no they were not able to go up into the lighthouse.
They have a website and a link to 'Tickets'.... Adults $12.95, Seniors 60+ and children under 12 $10.95
Free parking but pretty limited. Definitely worth stopping by though.
$12.95 for adults $10.95 for kids and seniors Free for active military and 10% off for vets. It also includes all of the museums and nature trials. Worth the price of admission.
Yes, you can see it from out front. You can get an ok picture.
Take the ghost tour we did and we had a ghost in our pictures
We did both the daytime and ghost tour at night and for two adults it was about $60.. Side Note: Bottled water was only $1.50 and they also had simple meals, snacks, local fudge, local craft brews.. Highly highly recommend it, especially the ghost tour!
It works automatically but it depends on when it gets dark.
Don't miss this lighthouse, it's well worth the stop ! ... We parked beside the street that the lighthouse museum is facing, just south east of the lighthouse. There is a dumpster near a soccer field, there were several trucks pulling large trailers parked nearby and we were in a motorhome pulling a car totaling approximately 55 ft.
We spent about 2.5 hours there. This included a tour of the maritime artifacts, wandering through the lighthouse keeper's residence, the gift shop (best in St Augustine), and, of course, climbing all the way to the top of the lighthouse.
Yes, it would be a good trip for a school...if that is what you're asking. There are informational plaques and historical facts posted everywhere.
Yes. Just under $15 / person. If you are 62 or older you get a small discount.
Not that I'm aware of. We went there first then went to take trolly tour
It goes by height. So essentially your child could be barely able to walk, but as long as she or he is tall enough, they're good to go.
Not really The Conte but I think it has More than 200 Steps but being Up and seeing That beauty really pays off
They have signs posted. Drones are prohibited. I was just there last weekend.
No reservation is necessary, the cost is $ 20 plus taxes
We are a private, non-profit Museum. There is no public housing, and we are not a housing agency. There are hotels and places that tourists stay very close by.
Masks are required. There is plenty of hand sanitizer stations as well. Enjoy!
Hi, I'm sorry for the delay in response. It depends on what you want. The best times for smaller crowds are very early in the day, between 9 am and 10 am, or later in the afternoon. Come between 5 pm and 6 pm. This is the busiest week of the year, so no time is perfect. But in January it will be very comfortable, crowd wise. You will want to avoid rain as much of the experience is outside. We do require masks, and we will have a line to stand in this time of year no matter when you come. We thank you for supporting our non-profit. Don't forget to look for a discount coupon on our Visit page at www.staugustinelighthouse.org.

Yes they do weddings. You need to call them and they will assist you with the arrangements there
Under 12 is free 12-17 is $8 Adult is $15 College student, military and seniors $12 It's well worth, specially for kids with the scavenger hunts they have
Yes. Must coordinate through them...no guerilla-style wedding tactics lol
No, you can not go to the top of the Lighthouse if you are on a wheelchair. On crutches, it would be hard. There is no elevator
The lighthouse campus has numerous new buildings all of which are accessible to both Wheelchairs and scooters in addition the first floor of the lightkeeper's house is also accessible. The lighthouse does not have an elevator it has 219 steps
Very clear amobia, and so expensive it would indeed be tragic to spill it !
219 steps more or less. But is so beatiful the view un the top!!!
I believe it was $12 and that includes access to the lighthouse, keepers house and all the ground buildings. The lighthouse is 219 steps to the top
Which company did your tour bus have reservations with?
I don't think so , maybe near by and walk to it.
There are 219 steps, and that includes the base. But there are 8 landings if I remember correctly, on which you can rest. It's worth it, really, just take your time. Afterwards, relax at the Cafe.
Not sure, but when I wad there, there were about 50 people in and around the lighthouse
$10 not only to climb the lighthouse but to also just get in past the gift shop onto the main grounds. I was just there and it is definitely $10 to climb. Wore my husband out and he is fit. But he said it was well worth it and my grandsons also liked it.
I believe adults are 12.50. It is not a lot compared to other entertainment options.
No they're not open at that time maybe you can give him a call and arrange something
The lighthouse is constructed with brick, starting with a thick base and tapering thinner as the lighthouse gets taller. It features iron reinforcement through the walls, as well as iron stairs.
If you pay $ 12.50 for adults and $ 10 for children 5 and up.
Probably not the right place, because of distance. Great idea though
They close at 7 at this time if the year...
You can stop out side of the light house but you cant go on to the grounds unless you pay you can get done good photos of it
To visit the museum there is no restriction. Must be 44 inches to climb the lighthouse.
