Do you have to purchase admission if you want to just stop by for a few minures to take photos of the exterior? I'll have my dog with me and I know pets aren't allowed. Thanks!

You can stop out side of the light house but you cant go on to the grounds unless you pay you can get done good photos of it

They do allow dogs. Just not inside the lighthouse. And no, u don't have to purchase just to take a few pics, unless you want to go inside of the area where the lighthouse is, and trails.

You cant go into the lighthouse without paying but you can take pictures without paying

I would recommend taking in the full experience, but if you are limited because of a pet I would suggest walking to the right of the gift shop and up to the exit gate I managed to get a great picture of the Lighthouse just before dark. The picture turned out great. I'll post my picture to Google maps.

The lighthouse in the grounds are beautiful but you must pay in Mission In order to get in there you could go to the school next door or on the Block to the right hand side of the lighthouse you could take pictures from there but you wouldn't not be on the grounds

For the exteriors you do not need to purchase any tickets.
