The lighthouse is 165 feet tall with a first order Fresnel lens. There's no official record of a death there, but the site is said to be popular with paranormal enthusiasts. Enjoy your visit!
Joseph Andreu was one of the keepers that died while painting the light house & he was killed, his wife than became the first woman and first Hispanic -American woman to serve in the coast guard and command the shoreline. I believe it was either in the light house or the keepers quarters that this is written. Fantastic history here.
Not much of a believer, but while visiting I used the restroom. It has 1 urinal 1 toilet stall...very small restroom. While using the urinal heard someone shake a news paper as if folding or turning a page. I notice the stall door was open with no one inside and nobody passed me to leave. No explanation.
My legs felt like jello after going up and down those stairs.
According to my tour guide, no one died in the lighthouse. One of the keepers, many years ago, lost 3 of his 4 daughters in a freak accident on the grounds.
It's possible someone died in there (there are a lot of steps to fall down), but no way to tell how tall that person was. 😉
I don't know. I know they dropped a cat of the top with a parachute and it survived.
Think it was covered
Funeral was a long time ago, was only 6.15' sorry
