No it is very safe on the beach . For a shark encounter go in the ocean . The majority of Gators are in Gainesville FL. University of Florida.
My daughter and her husband go camp there with there children all the time it is very safe for everyone hope this helps
I've seen many tortoises, but no alligators. Beautiful park.
Safe ti say any water or swamp area likely has reptiles in Florida.
