The overweight man at the drop off desk is very nice.

The staff there didn’t even hesitate to tell us that they will have to euthanize pets in order to make the availability 🤦🏻♀️.

Called about dropping off stray cats and lady on the phone seemed very nice, told me they would be taken care of and adopted but when they were taking my information the overweight man with a long goatee at the front desk at 4:45 on 9/12/22 acted very unprofessional making it seem like they we’re going to euthanize them. Said that if they act unfriendly at all that they can euthanize them. DIDNT feel comfortable enough to leave them there at that point. Also over the weekend I called at first for some information and they told me to dump them somewhere, which is illegal. Don’t recommend if you want the thought of the animal you dropped off being killed because there scared and don’t act to there “friendly” quota.

Very nice place, unfortunately I just couldn’t find the one right for me.

We do but as stated, money goes to the injured animal fund. This is used to help with medical costs that we accumulate trying to stabalize until an owner is found or providing care for sick or injured animals.
You're allowed to have up to three dogs if you live on 0.46 acres or less, unlimited dogs on more than 0.46 acres, and no limit on cats for any property unless set by a landlord.
Find the adult owner, have a conversation, come to an agreement. If you explain the situation, a reasonable adult will try to address the complaint. If you call animal control and the yorkies are taken, they'll likely be euthanized. I wouldn't want that on my conscience.
If theres no shelter then it could possibly be animal cruelty.
No, we cannot provide vet care for owned pets
Do I pick up roosters? What the heck?
You can call them and they'll come out and put live traps but you got to watch him though they're getting to become a a jokeI want you to do all their work for him and they'll come out and do it when it's all easy
Yes you can. They can check for a chip to see if their is an owner. If not, they will examine the dog and if in good health and temperament, place it up for adoption.
Yes, you can. Try first with the app neighbors just in case someone want it. Animal control is to the fullest and it could end up euthanized.
As far a a county license, you can do it at some local vet hospitals, come in to animal control and do it there, or go to the cumberland county animal control webpage and find the link to do it online
Yes, it covers spay or neutering, rabies shot, other shots and microchiping.
Sad but true it has and always will be over populated and forced to put them done. To many people not fixing there pets.
I went through that with my dog I adopted. Try meat juice on new food (cooked juice not raw). My dog eats her food now. Best wishes with your new friend.
Depends on how much land they have.
Cumberland county does have a leash law, and a limit to how many animals you can own.
No. Sorry
This is a kill shelter. They do try their hardest to get animals out and constantly waive fees to get them adopted quicker, but it's not guaranteed they will make it to a home. This shelter does work with many rescues and fosters though
I'm not sure if they pick up but I know they have a drop off.
They take all domestic animals
You have to call to schedule an appointment. The shelter does a 'managed intake" type program. This is to help prevent overcrowding and animals bring euthanized (put to sleep). they will communicate with you and possibly set up a date and time for pick up or drop off of surrenders but you cannot just show up and drop off. You HAVE to go through the surrender program. It saves pets lives.
If you adopt from them directly part of the adoption fee is getting the animal fixed
😵
If you ask for a trap they will provide or if you can take the dog itself to facilities, it's better to go and talk to them face to face
I meant to put riverbank vet not cumberland county animal control
Appointment only right now but plenty of openings. I just went a couple days ago.
You have to call and make an appointment with them
Please call Cumberland County Animal Control for several reasons. The weather is to hot for the dog to be without shelter (food, water), the dog could be injured or pregnant, the dog could be stolen or the dog could be abandoned. Cumberland County Animal Control will be able to handle the dog safely if it is aggressive or injured. Animal Control will also investigate to find the owner of the dog.
Contact the big fix in hopemills
Yes you can I just took 2 kittens to animal control office two weeks ago
They always have some
I'm sorry but I have a big dog and I don't use canned food.

No. It's an identification chip. The scanner has an ID tag number, and that allows the vet or rescue person to call the pet finding service and be connected to the owner.
They make arrangements with local vets. I believe at a lower price
Not that I have ever seen. You can buy parrots at PetSmart. Also try a web search for local breeders. Hope you find your new addition to your family soon.
I don't do yardsales
Normally they do but at this time they are not. You can go to Tractor Supply or Home Depot and purchase them for roughly $25
Sorry, there is not a discount as the fees cover the rabies, license, shots and spay\neuter
She has to attend volunteer orientation. It is every third Saturday at 10:00.
We have been there several times to play with the animals. No charge, no time limit. Not being able to have a pet where I live now hurts. I love animals and go there to see them and we donate food when possible.
You can get a cage from Animal Control to set and catch it. Then have someoone release it into the woods somewhere safe. Sorry about your opossum problem. Hope you can get it to end soon.
You can encourage it to walk out of the yard. Use a broom and without touching the opossum, just "shoo" it out. They are very beneficial to have around as they eat ticks and other bugs. Also, make sure you do not have a food source, like feeding cats outside, otherwise it will stay around. Also, clutter in a yard provides shelter for small critters so you may need to pick up the yard as well.
Go to petharbor.com, pit in the zipcode, select cumberland county animal shelter and it list all the animals that are in the shelter. It is updated hourly and (when staff is on duty)
Call pet smart . They have Vet on site .
It depends on the size and weather it is male or female I've seen them from 65 dollars to130 dollars they are fixed and I believe they are micro-chip or you may have that done not sure
You can owner surrender by showing proof of ownership such as medical records. You will have to show I'd qnd sign her over. You could also consider FAPS no kill shelter but they charge a fee for owner surrender. FAPS guarantees your pet will not be put to sleep and be found an amazing home
You can look on petharbor.com or go in and do a walkthrough
That's terrible!!!
You have to live in cumberland county. Yes they do take them but you have to be aware, the dog may be euthanized due to the illness
They only adopt spayed and neutered animals. You have to call a Animal Doctor to get a cat spayed or neutered

I'm sorry but we do not offer boarding services. Most of the local vet offices do. We simply don't have enough space.
Not that I know of...
I am afraid they will take your pet to the garbage dump. Don't you think your loyal pet deserves better?
How do I become a foster mom for small dogs.
Yes you can.
Its 10 per day but they do not board pets there
You should get her scanned for a microchip at a vet or animal control. I would call animal control for exact details about the stray hold process. You can hold a stray dog for 10 ten days but by law you have to make an effort to find an owner. If no owner is found and no microchip you can claim ownership. This stray hold process is because NC treats animals as property.
Its for a child adoption , its required, dont be a jerk about it.
Call ! !
Can't understand the question can't read it sorry
I don't think so. You can call to get more accurate information.
Yes and they will inform you that there is no guarantee that your dog will be adopted. If you tell one of the shelter workers in sure they can help find a foster for your dog
Yes but u need permission from your neighbors. If they say no or complain then it has to go
Actually they would be picked up because of the violation of leash laws
Most likely. Dogs aren't trained to shovel snow and cats think they're too good to shovel snow.
It's best to either reach out to them through FB or call the shelter, they don't really respond to these on Google. There was a law -4..Only 4 of dogs or cats. Not 4 dogs 4 cats etc. It was still 4 in the last 5 months since I moved
I know. First if you aren't a rescue the pledges don't go for private adoptions. They will go on to another dog and if they get pulled by a rescue then that money goes to that rescue
Call the animal shelter give them a neighborhood or last known where abouts post on pawboost and petharbor
It goes by weight and gender. Female spay process is a little more expensive than male neutering. Our male puppy under 50 lb was $86 four weeks ago. A lot cheaper than the hundreds/thousands spent, but to each their own.
