Kennedy space Centre is the best place I have ever seen, the history of space travel and seeing the conditions that the astronauts worked under on early space travel let's you see how brave these men were, an experience not to be missed

Impressive... For the German mind maybe a bit much pathos, but still absolutely impressive and absolutely recommendable.

Really interesting place well worth a visit for everyone of all ages.
The Merritt Island bird sanctuary, or Just park on the side of the road on your way to the Kennedy space center visitors complex want you go over the bridge
Yes. A lot of what you do is inside, the rocket garden is outside, but with an umbrella you can appreciate that too. You'll want an umbrella to go from building to building.
Parking is $10 for all day fun. My wife said we would be there only 4 or 5 hours but.... we were there for about 14 hours, that was on a launch night. Enjoy!
MILITARY DAILY ADMISSION
U.S. Active Duty military receive $7 off adult admission and $6 off child admission when presenting a valid military photo I.D. at the Visitor Complex ticket windows.
CHILD(age 3-11)$41
ADULT(age 12+)$50
If you go to their website they have tickets and launch times listed. The next launch is at
MARCH 13, 2019 6:58 PM EDT. The LC-39 Observation Gantry is where I would recommend.
It's mixed, although part of the outdoor circuit is inside of a bus. I would definitely take an umbrella and/or rain gear with me, if I happen to go there in a rainy day, because it's a big place to visit, and the attractions are far away from each other.
Well. They do have lockers, but you should leave the luggage in a vehicle if you can. They go through all bags and scan just like an airport. If you are traveling without a vehicle you may want to ask someone to stash your luggage.
Hi Ana,
The staff provide translated recordings in multiple languages (including Spanish) which tell detail about sites you walk into.
In sum, a multilanguage audio tour through a device.
Some parts are not open (e.g. launch pads, the crawlers), but the Saturn area was open, as is the main visitor complex. We spent 9.5 hours there yesterday with all of the things to see.
I've never been to the US space and rocket center in Huntsville Alabama. But I've been to the Kennedy space center. U should go see it. Don't knock it until you try it.
Q. How much does parking cost?
A. Rates are as follows: $10.00 per automobile, $10.00 per motorcycle, $15.00 per motor home/RV. Annual pass holders receive complimentary parking with proof of an annual pass. MENTIONED IN KENNEDY SPACE CENTRE WEBSITE.
The bus tour gives you a lot to see as well with a stop to see the space shuttle Atlantis. When you are at that stop there is another area with some hands on activities.
June 29 0541hrs EDT: FALCON 9 CRS-15 from launch complex 40; LC Gantry-39 tickets should be available, they go fast. Not sure why missing pads or A/B, hey, its the "gubbermint" thought I'd give you some additional information. Numbers increase from South to North
$10 to park a car. $5 FOR A motorcycle And $15 for an RV. After you park go to the ticket counter. Tickets range from $46 for seniors $50 for adults and up to $260 for a multi day park pass.
They do offer special pricing for groups, but I don't know about the eligibility requirements for those groups. You would need to call them to speak to a representative there from your information.
The Space Center visitor center is open and has been for some time. They are running with limits on the number of people so be sure to reserve your date online in advance. Also be sure to bring a mask. They are not doing any bus tours out to KSC itself yet, but facilities are open at the visitors center.
I wont re-answer the price question because they are correct but i will suggest you take the bus tour first thing so you don't waste time waiting in line for it.
As of August 12, the website says its open with safety protocols including limited capacity, temperature checks, required face coverings, and social distancing measures.
If you are looking to get to the Kennedy Space Center via a shuttle, Gray Line Orlando and Florida Dolphin Tours offer transportation to the visitor complex.
My opinion you should bring at least 1 wheelchair with you in case 1 of them were to tire out between bus and facilities. Just to be on the safe side. They have accommodations, but not always just when you need them.
Why is your answer machi e I formation not up to date. It's still in 2017. Web site says no bus tours after 130pm sat 26.10.19 but gives not reason why
Why on all the Apollo mission patches do they have the astronauts names listed...except Apollo 11? Granted most everyone knows who was on that mission anyhow but, why are their names not on their patches?
Mike Knolinski | Sep 13, 2020
Christopher Doyle | Sep 13, 2020
Because the crew decided that the mission belonged to everyone, not just them.
The place is huge and it is a waste of time if you leave without exploring the area so better make use of your time and enjoy while you are inside..all worth it 😊
From universal area there were 3 tolls. All around 1.25,1.50.2.50 price wise.
If your on the 528 make sure you go into all the tolls on the same stretch of road, this is confusing as you don't change roads, but there are thee toll stations you need to pay! 😕
I don't know. I think no
Google says spaceport USA is in Sierra country new Mexico. So it must be different because Kenedy space center Nasa is in the near from cocoa beach
I took my kids. They are 7 and 10. Honestly it's more of an adult thing. Very educational. I would not go back until my kids are older and would understand it
During Apollo, the moon rocket was referred to a a Saturn C5. (Earth-orbit missions used the Saturn 1B.)
Now all I hear/read is Saturn V.
Is Saturn C5 a shortened version of another number ? Did someone just stop using the "C" ?
Scott Wilcott | Sep 14, 2019
Lisa Groover | Sep 14, 2019
If I am correct, it was called the C-5 in its developmental design stages (first drawing design A, second B, etc.) The addition of the 5th engine gave it the 5. Once it had been proven effective and efficient, the design letter C was dropped. Hope this helps.
For zero-gravity attack, do you have to pay extra or do you already have access to this attraction?
I would contact Kennedy Space Centre - they work with marine biologists to protect the environment on Cape Canaveral, and may have some suggestions, even if it's only that your turtles will be food for the alligators.
I will be coming off a cruise, I will be having 8 big bags luggage. Do you have luggage storage facility or luggage check in. Just worried about the luggage while I tour your place. Thank you
Nikhil Chheda | Sep 14, 2019
Ashley Pitt | Sep 14, 2019
There is a customer service desk there but I cant recall seeing anything for storing items, probably best ringing ahead and checking
You could spend two whole days here depending on what you want to see. If you just want to see Atlantis you can probably do it in about an hour and a half.
I mistakingly booked one one day for a tour for 3 people then a week later booked again for the same dates for 3 people. Can I cancel and get a refund for one of the bookings?
Peter Aylmore | Sep 14, 2019
J Pack | Sep 14, 2019
It seems like they would recognize the mistake and make a refund. I dont see why they wouldn't.
Hi Laura.
In my opinion if you are looking a turístic place near Kennedy space center I think best option is Cocoa Beach. There is many options on hotels.
We were there from 1:00 p m. until closing at 6:00 and we did not see everything. I don't think we'll go back anytime soon, but I wish we'd have got there earlier.
Enough to fill your day, a bus tour, multiple different educational IMAX movies, astronaut Hall of Fame museum, rocket garden tour educating you on certain rockets and multiple other things.
We didn't get to go to the launch site because of the Federal Govt shutdown. But the overall Center was awesome to visit. Just really si amazing at the history of it all!
No. They have something called Parabolic Flight, by a ZERO-G Boeing 727 aircraft. This is the only way to emulate true weightlessness. If you are interested please contact ZERO-G experience Program.
You can bring your pet. However you must board it at the kennel located on the grounds. Pets not allowed in the park.Bring your own food and treats, water and waste bags provided. Unless it's a registered service dog I would leave Fluffy at home.
I am writing this with google translate. Please forgive the translation. Yes, I recommend this place to visit. There is much to see and do. There are many hands on activities and you can see the space shuttle Atlantis upclose. plan to spend a whole day here
We are coming in from Australia in March 2019 do you have a launch date? this is so we can book in accommodation
Max Silk | Sep 14, 2019
Albert McManus | Sep 14, 2019
Download the free Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex app, it's a black icon with the KSC VC on it. This will help you not only with launch dates, but also park hours, show times for movies and live events. There's even a GPS helper to direct you to where you want to go next. Hope this helps.
I just went this past week. Military personnel do get a discount the same as seniors. They do have a day where military enter for free and can take up to 3 guests for half the price. I believe the attendant said it was arouund Memorial Day. Hope this helps you.
What is the difference in the bus tours from the free one to the one you have to pay extra for?
larry bitter | Sep 14, 2019
Adrian Wolf | Sep 14, 2019
The free tour is about 45mins vs. about 2 hours for the paid tour. So you see a lot more behind the scenes locations that you wouldn't on the free version. IMO it's worth the extra price if you are a space or history buff.
how is kennedy space center important to the people and the environment of florida
Cole R | Sep 14, 2019
José Carlos de Moura | Sep 14, 2019
Is important because to tourist development and job for the local people and a beautifull place too !!!
I recommend that you get there when they first open so you have the opportunity to see and do all the exciting things they have to offer!
Also on their compound there is a small Lake and if you get there early they used to have alligators in there but when it gets hot the alligators go underwater.
Well worth the trip to spend the entire your entire day there!
No they don't but they accept all major credit cards and I don't know how he can make it all the way from Canada to South Florida and not have American money so I think it's a moot point
They do actually check everything that you bring into the park but my experiences that they don't restrict food and water but again like everything else they do expect that you're going to buy products there because they have rest restaurants or places to eat
Make sure to go early! There is so much to see and do there now! The newest addition is train like an astronaut- mission to Mars. Costs extra but worth it! 😄
Every 90 minutes it orbits the Earth but whether it passes over your location is a different thing. That's not really something heavily talked about at Kennedy Space Center. However, according to the ISS Detector app (you can get it on your phone) the next time the ISS will pass north Central Florida is Friday at 4:26 am. Seeing it also depends on cloud cover and whether or not it's in the Earth's shadow -those are only some of the factors that determine whether you'll see it or not.
Yes. If you take a cooler, they are doing security checking at the gate they might have you leave it in the car. You can get a 'hand stamp' to leave and reenter the park. There are several restaurants and lunch stands and seating areas.
Where are the bicentennial time capsules buried at kennedy space center?

Does anyone know the length of the slide inside one of the buildings?
Sharon Salerno | Sep 14, 2018
Victoria Saucedo | Sep 14, 2018
Very small. About 10 ft. Its just a slide to get from one floor down to another instead of using the stairs. It is in the building where Atlantis is at.
The posted 2018 hours:
now to April 8 9:00-7:00
April 9-July 1 9:00-6:00
July 2- Aug 12 9:00-7:00
Aug 13-Dec 20 9:00-6:00
Dec 21-Dec 24. 9:00-7:00
Dec 25. 9:00-5:00
Dec 26-30 9:00-8:00
Dec 31 9:00-6:00
I just left maybe a couple hours ago and I didn't see it. BUT you do get to see pretty much everything on the bus tour. It really was worth it. And I will be going back. I didn't learn enough!
I read that there are kennel services for guests. Is there a need to make reservations?
Kenneth Virata | Sep 14, 2018
Greg Francis | Sep 14, 2018
No need for reservations. The kennel is free, as well. However, there is no real human care - the dogs just stay in their kennel until you come for them. We took a mid day break to walk the dog and then decided the truck with open windows was a better option since he was more familiar with it and the weather was sunny but cool (early March).
Do not use the photographie service at the space venter, we were charges à hefty amount and when was time to download the pictures more than half were missing.....tried to contact the supplier back un janvier 2018 but never heard from Them since....
claude stgeorge | Sep 14, 2018
Ruth Kosakowski | Sep 14, 2018
I also bought pics . Time to download and they keep saying you have to wait 24 hours. It's been a week. Don't waste your money
They do have wheel chairs and strollers available at the saturn V center, amd i would think they do at the main visitor center too. But the best idea would be to call the main number and ask.
Even if you do not know English, the experience is understandable. Very graphic, concrete, and there is always an opportunity to expand the information with documentation. They will not regret it.
Admission fees: $50 ages 12+, $40 ages 3-11, children under 3 are free.
Also, there are other add-ons that cost more, like lunch with an astronaut, etc.
Call the park attendant for this serious medical question. Google the park and look for a number or email to talk with someone more qualified to answer your important question.
Sorry, having a hard time understanding your website.....about what to do there, or tours and cost.
What programs, tours are offered, how long does it take and how much will it cost??/ Thank you, Sherry
Sheryl Murnaghan | Sep 14, 2018
Shelle Pennington | Sep 14, 2018
There is an app for Kennedy which will help fully understand what is included in your ticket price. I found the app nor helpful than the site.
There is a full day of things to see and do without paying for the other events, btw.
It all depends on your enthusiasm.
I personally would like 2 days. One day for the bus tour alone, but you can zip through it in 3 hours.
However, you can do the whole facility in 1 day if you time it just right but get there early and stay till closing time to get the full effect.
Their gift shop has plenty of options like t shirts, toys also mostly scientific gifts you might find there for a science enthusiast who will definitely like them. Thank you.
Not really sure, I would suggest you look on the NASA web site. There are some good apps for tracking the ISS on Google play such as ISS Detector satellite tracker.
Welcome! Hope they will have a good time. The language used by bus tour and in auditorium was English but that was 1hr - 1.5hr...rest is the shuttles and other things where language will not be a barrier. Also try using english -> spanish translate on the map/details and that will help. Hope this helps.
There used to be an air force station and missile rest range there and there was a whole lot of uninhabited space that the federal government was able to buy up for this purpose. The climate also allows for year round operations.
Hello. There is an observation point at Cape Canaveral (FL) that allows me to observe the launch of Minotaur IV ORS-5 at 11.00 pm on 8/25/17?
