Earlier better, more time to see . . . KSC it's big, one complete day could not be enought . . .
I would have to say as early as possible. Best ti be there at opening.
Early, especially if you get the extra bus tour which I would recommend. Takes about 2 hours and besides that tour there is enough to see and do.
