No you don't have to pay to watch a launch but make sure you show up early enough to get a great view

Elizabeth Roman, If you want to watch the launch from Kennedy Space Centers Visitors Complex you will be charged park admission. If you choose to watch anywhere off Kennedy Space Center then it is FREE. Enjoy the Moment.
