I went to Quest Diagnostics this morning for a blood draw and the service was nonexistent. I was there for over twenty minutes and never saw another human being. I will never go back to a lab where they don’t care to know their customers.

I have called this facility 3 times to try and find out if they are in fact a National lab. I am from MD visiting OR and need lads done but the results need to be available for my DR in MD. Phone tree says to press number 6 to speak to a representative but once pressed it states,”this key is no longer valid.” HIGHLY unsatisfactory customer service. Would rate less than 1 star if possible.

All I'm trying to do is talk to someone about facing information and everything is automated. 0 out of 5 I'll never use them again. And before you suggest it I tried the advocacy line and it didn't help either.

I have mixed feelings. I’ve had great experiences with the staff for the most part, and I love the Quest app that allows me to store and access my results. But I HATE not being able to contact them prior to my appointment, and I can see why people don’t care for the tablet check-in vs in person. Twice I’ve arrived for lab work where my doctor said fasting wasn’t necessary and the tech won’t draw the lab non-fasting. I’ve tried calling in advance to verify whether I need to be fasting, but it’s just a phone tree with no option to talk to a person. When I called the patient advocacy line, they told me they “aren’t medically trained” to provide that information and I should contact my physician. I know what my physician says... I need to know what Quest says. I intentionally go out of my way to use Quest because of the lab results via the app, and as a type 1 diabetic fasting can be tricky. The inability to ask a simple question to the staff before my appointment is incredibly inconvenient.

Questions & Answers

I have a question, how can I get someone to answer the phone?

Can't really give you an answer. I've been making my appointment by the net. Works out much better. I would check with my Doctor on anything else.

Does this Quest have a wheelchair to help get patients in and out of the lab with?

I believe they do, call to make sure, I haven't been in there for awhile
