You can't bring your own rocket. Unless you have your own Saturn 5 in your car.
I'm not sure if they allow tailgating at the Kennedy space center but parking is $10 dollars for a car and if they don't allow it all you have to do is drive to co co beach and watch the launch from there it's only 10 miles away
You can get just as close off site as you can at actual Kennedy Space Center to watch a launch. Off-site locations are free and not as much trouble to leave when the launch is scrubbed. On site at Cape Canaveral, durring a launch even the employees must be several several miles away from the actual launch so there are plenty of places that you can get just as close simply pulling over on the side of the road.
My favorite spot is Playalinda Beach which costs $10, but it is so close it is closed when they are using Launch Platform 39B. The best free spot is along the Marten Andersen Beachline Expressway, west bound, on the shoulder right in the middle of the river. Anywhere in Titusville or anywhere along the shore up to at least 50 miles away, you will be able to see a launch.
