Yes. If you take a cooler, they are doing security checking at the gate they might have you leave it in the car. You can get a 'hand stamp' to leave and reenter the park. There are several restaurants and lunch stands and seating areas.

I'm not sure you can. Security checks all bags before you enter the park. But like others suggested, you can leave a cooler in the car and exit the park to eat at the picnic tables right outside the entrance. The park is not Disney sized so you're not walking far to exit to go eat.
